Rehab is not Geisha girls walking on your back for hours a day while you lay around being fed exotic fruits. Rehab is crisis intervention. It is to save your life from withdrawal from alcohol, get you away from the streets if you do drugs, get the familyemployer off your back. It is to get you stable enough to be introduced to AA, NA, or CA, where recovery really happens. I was a hard core, gallon a day of 100 proof drinker. Cumberland Heights helped save my life. The scenery is beautiful, and the food is amazing. They are also non-profit, so dont think they are making a mint off of addiction. The councilors are paid chicken feed, but they care and do a great job handling whiney drunks and addicts like me all day long. There may be cushier treatment centers, but this is one of the first, and still ranked in the top 3 in the US. If you do not like this place, there is always jail.

Cumberland Heights introduced me to the program and fellowship that saved my life. I was a hopeless drug addict waiting to die and Cumberland Heights showed that another way of life was possible. The alumni connections were invaluable. On the weekends, alumni in recovery return to campus to share their experience, strength, and hope and bring back a taste of life and recovery in the real world, outside of treatment. I was able to recognize people that had been where I was and knew exactly the pain and misery of active addiction. It inspired me to see how they had changed their lives and to see them laughing and having fun. It showed me that recovery was possible and that this way of life was also a life a joy. Im incredibly grateful for Cumberland Heights and I will never be able to repay what they have given me.

Cumberland Heights is the most wonderful place to go to for substance abuse. My son has been clean and sober for 2 years after being in the 30 day program. He now has a future because of the education he received. They gave him the tools, so he would be able to help himself remain sober and taught him how to help himself when he had urges to do drugs again. We are most grateful for the staff and counselors for everything they did for our family. The facility is most beautiful, food is wonderful and sleeping quarters very clean. My son is a success story that I wanted to share for those reading reviews while considering a place to go to. I will be eternally grateful to Cumberland Heights!

Took my wife there and they insisted she be in the "Professionals" program. She wanted to be in the regular program since her learning abilities were diminished due to a brain injury. After 10 days they contacted me to come get her saying they couldnt help because she couldnt understand. Exactly what I told them would happen. They kept her long enough to collect some big money. They were very disorganized at check in. They never explained anything at check in either. Very bad experience.

My company worked with Cumberland Heights on their new website design, so my experience was different than many of the others who have visited their campus. I was very impressed with the dedication of the staff and the campus was nicer than many state universities. I would recommend Cumberland Heights to anyone in the Middle TN area who is in need of their services.

This place is truly sacred,it saved my life. Staff is wonderful and the food is great. I also got to meet some wonderful friends that Im sure will be life long. If your not serious about recovery please dont waste the staffs time or the bed space needed for someone who is serious. Thanks Cumberland Heights for everything.

Cumberland Heights is a wonderful place to go for treatment. I spent 30 days there in 2010 and my life is the better for it. There are so many caring people there and all are willing to help any way they can. The campus is beautiful and in a very peaceful setting. You cannot go wrong here.

Wonderful staff, wonderful people, great food, and beautiful scenery. Great after care programs. Note: this is a treatment center that focuses on AA/NA/CA/etc.. Only those serious about sobriety should check in... Leave a spot for those who want it.

Twice theyve saved my life, once in the mid-90s, and once again in 2002. Im a healthy, happy, successful person today because they cared enough to work with me in my darkest, most desperate times. Thank you!
