Nicole Curcio was the worst decision in specialized healthcare decision I ever made. I too, like other negative reviews here, was rushed through the whole visit. I scheduled a visit to look at small acne like bumps on my arms. She flew into the room and before even taking a close look told me I had Molluscum. She did little to no explanation of what this condition even entailed, yet recommended that she freeze off all the small bumps on my arms with liquid nitrogen right then and there. Before I could even finish uttering my sentence of approval she border-line yelled to her assistant "NOTE THE PATIENT AGREED TO PROCEDURE", and proceeded the treatment. After leaving her office not happy with her procedure or even convinced of the diagnosis at all, I googled Molluscum and laughed. out. loud. I immediately scheduled another appointment with a highly rated dermatologist in Green Hills, and was told I was absolutely misdiagnosed. I merely was a victim of minor clogged pores, and Molluscum was an irresponsible diagnosis. I also consulted a close friend who has been a hospital lab technician for 15 years, who handles skin samples daily, and was told the same. On top of it all, they outsource their billing to somewhere "west coast", and trying to waive the additional Molluscum procedure charges was a complete run-around. So I ate the charge. Advice: Look elsewhere for a skin care specialist

Nicole Curcio was the worst dermatologist Ive ever gone to. It is very clear now that only white women should make an appt. and visit this person. I visited Nicole, just to get a consultation of what product I can have with my facial. Nicole busted in the patient room where I was and flopped down on a stool and yelled, What Can I Do For You. Now this is after I haves filled out all the paper work answering all such questions. It was as if she was attacking me for coming in to see her. She did not wash her hands upon entering the room she did not put on gloves. She touched her mix blond hair, crossed her legs and touched the bottom of her shoe and then touched my face. What she said to me I could have gotten off the internet. I paid for nothing. Very unprofessional and incompetent. If your skin color is darker than white I would not recommend this person. I would not even call her a doctor, actually I am not sure. I will check in with the medical board with this complaint. I also was charged 150.00 for nothing. I will also alert my insurance company so they are aware of where to refer people with skin colors darker than white. Terrible.

I had my first appointment today (10/6/2015) and it was the WORST experience EVER! The front desk staff are so unconcerned and unfriendly; its felt as soon as you enter the door and the actual Dermatologist is a fast talker... (Hey Ive lived almost everywhere, ArmyBrat) I can keep up with the best of em but I also know B.S. and product pushers when I see them. She only told me what I already knew from my Google and WebMd research! She gave me a lot of product knowledge but NO SOLUTION or REALISTIC expectations. *Visit at your own risk!* FYI: Oh yeah, the $30.00 upfront hold for your appointment and your co-pay at time of visit, I read the paperwork and it also gives you a LIST of Non Refundable Fees etc... Seems to be ALL about the money and appeal (as you can see in the waiting office). The only GOOD experience I had was with nurse Kelly, she seemed genuine BUT very nervous; maybe its the Atmosphere (she doesnt belong there)!

I must chime in to share my experience. I have a standing appointment each month (aesthetic) at Curcio Dermatology but also see Dr Curcio regularly - as one needs to do when you have reached a certain age and didnt "discover" sunscreen until your 30s. Unlike some reviewers here, I happen to respect the booking policy as well as their late policy. Each (medical) patient spends the majority of their office time with Dr Curcio, and her time needs to be respected and her patients need to be seen in a timely manner. The late policy is smart because it keeps the office traffic moving smoothly - I am into my appointment and out on time. Every time. I am busy and that is important. And in my experience, the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. It is too bad some patients have left unhappy - or maybe they never even decided to make an appointment, which is a shame. My multiple visits are always the same = great.

To be Fair - The Staff can come across as "snooty" as a first impression. The ladies on the front desk could be more friendly and inviting but they really arent. They do Charge $30.00 upfront to reserve your spot when you call in for an appointment, however is well worth it if you are serious. Dr Curcio is not your typical Southern Bell. Shes Blunt and aggressive but thats what worked for me and my condition. I had several huge warts under my fingernails that I couldnt get rid of for almost a year. After trying several dermatologist in town and seeing no improvement I decided to see her for a 3rd or 4th opinion. She started doing laser treatment and I was able to see a 95% improvement within the first 3 visits. Warts are almost completely gone and have not come back. I am over all very pleased with my results and Im glad I paid the $35 to reserve that first appointment.

One star for the service I received today. Previous visits were just fine. Apparently I had missed an appointment this morning, I explained to the receptionist that my child woke up with a medical emergency we were in the e.r. and I could not make it, their appointment didnt even cross my mind as I am handling an e.r. Situation with my child. They had 0 sympathy and explained that theyre so booked and I made them miss money so they are charging me $30. Point blank period. Im sure they make plenty of money. Clearly they are all about the money. I do not feel comfortable going back to a place that lacks understanding for humans and the situations we fall into. Have the $30 if you really need it. Its only $30 but says a lot about the business. Not a policy worth having in my opinion, Because life happens.

Moved to Nashville from Toronto and I am so so happy to report that I have found my dermatologist. To begin with, the office looks brand new and is very inviting. The staff is friendly (i know other people have had varied experiences but my interaction with the staff was always great), and the waiting area is very comfortable. There is a self service beverage fridge in the lobby, but I have never waited long enough to get a drink. Dr. Curcio is very knowledgeable and very attentive to my questions. And believe me i have lots of questions. And I am very happy with the treatments that I have received. Yup...super happy to have found Dr. Curcio.

I had a horrible experience. If I could give less than one star I would. She knew past antibiotics did nothing for my acne, she promised to give me accutane after 2 months of minocylin if it didnt work, here is a huge surprise, it didnt work. And then she completely disregarded what I said after I repeated what she had said previously and then she handed me a prescription for some androgen blocker with horrible side affects, keep in mind I dont have high androgen levels so it wouldnt have done anything anyway. So after wasting 2 months of my time and money here I am out $150 and still have this hideous acne on my face.
