Dr. Carrasco was highly recommended to me by my good friend of 17 years, Mike. His recommendation turned out to be absolutely correct! The care, attention, and consideration that I receive from Dr. Carrasco and his entire wonderful staff makes them my all-time favorite medical staff in Austin. Hands down. Bar none. Not only is Dr. Carrasco a shining example of what a great dermatologist should be, but he and his staff represent to me what I want in all my doctors: genuine care. Theyre always up to date on the latest treatments, medications, procedures, and products. An added bonus is that the entire staff is very friendly and an absolute pleasure to be around. . I went in for a cosmetic facial peel and Dr. Carrasco noticed a place on my leg and immediately took care of it. It turned out to be skin cancer, so I consider myself very lucky that I go to a very observant and caring doctor. Hes very honest and will tell you if he feels you may benefit from a treatment or product that you hadnt considered. My friends and family tell me my skin looks better than it has in years, and I know its because Dr. Carrasco has taught me how to care for my skin properly. Dr. Carrasco and his entire staff (Ali, Becky, Liz, Debra, Kim, Ashley, Rosa and Angie) have set the bar very high in terms of the type of medical care I want to receive. If the health of your skin is important to you, the best thing you can do for yourself is to go to a top notch dermatologist. And Dr. Carrasco is definitely in that category.

Dr. Carrasco is an AMAZING dermatologist. He cured my acne!!! I have struggled with severe comedomal acne since I was a young teenager and through my 20s into my 30s...a very troubling condition for an adult woman! I have tried every treatment in the book - topical antibiotic creams, oral antibiotics, accutane, birth control...you name it. I have seen multiple dermatologists over the years and nothing has helped. That is until I met Dr. Carrasco. Not only is he personable and professional, but he is incredibly intelligent and very persistent. He approached my acne from several different treatment perspectives, and I am happy to report that for the first time in my life, I am acne free!!! I feel incredibly indebted to Dr. Carrascos persistence and determination. He definitely thinks outside of the box and is relentless in order to help his patients get the best results. His office is beautiful and his staff are great. Becky and Kim, his medical assistants, are always friendly and I have enjoyed getting to know them through my time as a patient. I recommend Dr. Carrasco to anyone with dermatological needs whole-heartedly!!!!

Ive had horrible psoriasis for over 20 years. Ive been to many dermatologists and tried what seems like hundreds of creams and lotions as well as methotrexate and light box therapy. Nothing worked. A close friend from Houston suggested I see Dr. Carrasco since he used to treat her psoriasis when he worked there. Dr. Carrasco discussed with me all of my prior therapies and then took the time to explain the risks and benefits of the newer biological therapies that were available. Most importantly, he made me feel comfortable that I would always be closely monitored for any medical issues while I am on the medication. His staff worked with my insurance company to help get prior approval and then taught me how to administer my injections at home. For the first time since my diagnosis, I am clear of my skin condition. More importantly, I have been kept up-to-date on my labs and am confident that I am being watched-over by an expert. I had kind of resolved myself to a life of flaking and itching, but that is no longer the case. I highly recommend Dr. Carrasco to anyone seeking relief from their skin problems.

Cant say enough good things about this place, especially Dr. Carrasco. I had a dermatologic issue for which I saw another large local dermatology practice for literally 12+ times. Im not kidding, I went to them over and over throughout about 18 months because they kept assuring me what we were doing would work and that there werent any other options besides a really painful surgery. I had a painful procedure with each visit, and would cry in my car after because it hurt so bad... then a few weeks later I would have to go back again because there was no improvement. I kept asking for other options and they said there were none. I finally got fed up and sought a second opinion with Dr. Carrasco and he was awesome! He immediately assured me that a few treatments with a high-powered laser at their southwest location would be effective. Sure enough, after almost 2 years of NO RESULTS with a different doctor, just 2 visits with Dr. Carrasco 100% resolved by concern. I will recomment him to everyone now and will continue to see him for any skin concerns and annual checkups. So happy I found this group!

I went to see Dr. Carrasco to seek help for my adult acne. After just one visit he was able to get me on a great treatment plan that I was comfortable with and actually worked! I was treated so well by the staff that I have since recommended Dr. C to all of my friends. I also found out I can get laser hair removal at this office too...after receiving a free consultation from the esthetician, Angie Pennington, I was able to have the procedure done that same day! I will continue to see Dr. Carrasco for my medical needs and Angie for laser hair removal. Thanks Dr. C!

Ive been here two times so far. Both times I saw Dr. Gewirtzman, and he was fantastic. I went for a mole checkup and some other issues, and he took the time to really address my concerns. I dont have insurance, and I find their prices very reasonable. I had a horrible experience (money and care wise) with another derm in Austin, so I wasnt sure what to expect. Ive also just in general had some really dismissive doctors. Dr. G is not one of those! He also wasnt annoyed that I came in with having done a lot of googling on my concerns, like some other doctors Ive had. :)

My son had an urgent skin condition that needed attention right away and Victoria handled the call in a professional and understanding manner. She provided an immediate appointment on the same day. Dr. Gewirtzman was EXCELLENT in demonstrating his knowledge of the condition and developing a treatment protocol. I appreciate the way the staff as a whole worked together as a team from the moment I made the phone call to the time we left the office. Thank you!

Dr Carrasco is one of the finest MDs I have ever known. He and his wonderful staff always make me feel welcome and supported. As a retired Army Officer I can say without reservation that Dr Carrasco cares for and works hard for Veterans. He has helped me on numerous occasions with my skin cancer starting in 2008. I would rank him in the top 3 doctors I have worked with in my life. If you need a dermatologist look no further.

Dr. Carrasco is a great dermatologist. 2008 was a great year for me, in that I went from having moderate to severe acne breakouts to none at all. Ive been off my treatment for about 4 months now and still havent had a break out. He is efficient, caring, and professional. I had a wonderful experience and find his office to be a soothing and refreshing environment. No doubts about my five star rating.
