I saw Dr. Zimmet for 3 treatments plus the first time was consultation. It was for a birthmark that was removed 90% before at another place 10 years ago. Now I just want to get rid of the rest because Im afraid it may get darker over time. During my consultation Dr. Zimmet said it would take 3-4 treatments and it looks like something on the surface. After 3 treatments I saw no change at all. Plus every treatment was super fast. Besides the numbing cream part that took 10 to 15 minutes, the actual treatment was like 1 to 2 minutes each time. I was surprised by how fast it was and I thought its probably because of new technology that doesnt require longer sessions. However, after seeing no result after 3 times I have a different thought. It feels like the treatments were not thorough. I had to point out where I wanted him to focus on and it didnt feel like he went over all of the areas I pointed out to him. Previously I got a very dark birthmark that was on almost the entire half of my face and it took 10 treatments tp get rid of 90%. Now its light and not covering the entire cheek and forehead area anymore, instead its more in some big spots and I went through 3 treatments to see nothing. I am very disappointed with the treatments. It was $400 each tome so it was not cheap. I would expect more out of it. During my last session I told him that and he said well he thinks the pigment is deeper under the skin so it may take longer. Well, first time he said on the surface, now deep under the skin. I wouldnt want to lengthen my sessions instead of having it treated thoroughly and completely. The front desk ladies are very nice, Carol in the back is also nice. The nurse Lidija was rude to me once on my second session. I was confused with the order of the prep step so I asked her and instead of explaining it to me with a nice attitude, she raised her voice and stared at me like she was going to eat me alive. I lost half my trust to this place due to her. Then the other half to the ineffective treatments. Update: Its been 7 months after I left the previous review and its been over due for this review. The office manager contacted me to hear more about it and offered a free treatment. I came in and talked to the doctor and cleared the misunderstanding. He also increased the level on the machine and I could see the result a week after the treatment. It definitely got better and I was happy with the result. I have not had the time and money needed to go back. But I will in the future.

Since my mom had recently become a patient of Dr. Zimmets for vericose veins, English is ours second language I have need to write this review. I accompanied her to her appoitment to translate for her, Dr. Zimmet was so wonderful communicating to her and me about everything he was doing and finding about her veins, he has taken his time with us, he was so patient with all of our questions and took so much time throughly explaining everything to us. My mom and I have had very opposite expericences with other doctors here in Austin. My mom needed a surgery called Endocenous Laser Ablation, my mom was scared to death about the whole deal, she is scared of a little needle, my whole family was nervous about how this surgery would go, and I have to say that Dr. Zimmet and his staff were the best in allevating her fears and making her feel totally relaxed and comfortable before, during and after her surgery. We have hears all kinds of things out there, and the doctors that we went before told us about stripping her weins and doing it under the general, in the hospital, few days of recovery, and things like that, we are so happy we went to Dr. Zimmet for the second opinion, so happy that my mother had EVLT, so happy that we found Dr. Zimmet. She was up and walking on a treadmill right after the surgery, she was up and walking that afternoon, she was back at work the next day. We highly recommend this doctor and his staff! Best doctor in Town!!!

I have been going to Dr. Zimmet since the 1990s and as the technology of services offered, has broadened. I wouldnt trust anyone but Dr. Zimmet to perform any treatment I may request. (That is, after a consultation to discuss my desires and his suggestions of treatments that would net me the best results). I trust and respect his professional opinion and have always been completely satisfied with the end result. At 50, I look and feel better now, than I ever have. His entire staff is not only warm, welcoming and wonderful (what every simple Texas girl expects), they make you feel like family. Then there is Lidija. Lidija and her (lasers), are impeccable. Her knowledge and experience puts me at complete ease and allows for my best skin to come forward and show. There may be a few things I have to give up in my life..... But, my experience, my results, and my desires to continue to want to age as gracefully as I can, wont be one of them..... Thanks to Dr. Zimmet and his fantastic staff he has surrounded himself with.

I have been seeing Dr. Zimmet as a patient for more than fifteen years. He has never let me down in any way. He has unfailingly provided personalized attention and treated me in a most caring way. Most importantly, I trust in his judgment and have confidence in his long years of practice. I have been completely satisfied with the procedures I have received: dermatological care, Botox, chemical peels, Thermage, as well as sclerotherapy and endovenous laser for my legs. Dr. Zimmet is highly regarded among his peers and is known internationally for his contributions to non-surgical vein treatment. Dr. Zimmet is attentive to my questions, as well as being patient and courteous. His support staff is respectful and professional. If Dr. Zimmet treats the rest of his patients the way he treats me, I have no doubt they will come away feeling they have received top-level care.

I am really thrilled with my Ultherapy treatment from Dr. Zimmet. I could see immediate improvement, even right after the procedure was finished. I had it about a week ago. Since then Ive felt a slight bit of soreness on my face, but nothing major. It was mildly painful but not nearly as bad as I was thinking it would be. Before the treatment, Dr. Zimmet told me what to take to manage pain. Mostly, Im impressed by how much better I look. I decided to give it a try with Dr. Zimmet. Ive been seeing him for varicose vein treatments and have been very pleased with his practice. I trust his opinion and appreciate how much time he spends answering questions and explaining. His nurse Lidia is wonderful and attentive. I just get a feeling of professionalism and caring from his office. Its not hard sell. Its been a good experience all the way. Im glad I found this place.

Ive been going to Dr. Zimmet for almost 2 years for treatments on my veins and Facial Rejuventaion. I have had Ambulatory Phlebectomy, and continue to have Sclerotherapy. Dr. Zimmets experitse as a phlebologist puts my mind to ease. Also, his staff is always friendly and very professional. Before seeing Dr. Zimmett I went to several doctors but none matched Dr. Zimmets professionalism and patient care. All of the staff are also great -- friendly, discreet, professional. And, the office and patient rooms are clean and comfortable. Zimmet Vein & Dermatology is highly recommended. * Pros: Expertise, professionalism, thoroughness * Cons: Slightly expensive (but worth it)
