Courtesy: 0/10 Tact: 0/10 As a recent college graduate I went in with a minor skin issue. I dont have insurance so its something that bothered me. In the deliverance of the symptom the Doctor Lindsey Detwiler (worth mentioning her name) told me it was highly contagious (among other "scary" things) and will spread throughout the body and suggested a pricey option that will take care of what was happening. I was rushed to make a decision. She didnt give me options. I was also with my partner and the doctor disclosed my situation to them without asking me first. Scared, I chose to take the pricey option to get rid of the symptoms. I come home and look up the symptom (by the name the doctor called it). Its common. Goes away by it/themselves. Not highly contagious. Many over-the-counter treatments available. Doctor Lindsey Detwiler took advantage of a scared recent college graduate without insurance. Didnt take the time to ask if I had any questions and rushed me out of her office in less than twenty minutes when I paid $120+ for an hour of her time (just for the visit, separate from "treatment"). If the treatment worked I was going to leave the situation as it was and forget about it, but then I get a call saying that there was a " little error on the billing" and that I needed to pay more. No. No. No. Not happening.

Dr. Daulet was amazing..and so was her medical assistant Joshua I believe was his name. The Dr. sits and really listened to me about my issues with my acne and my Lupus rash and sun sensitivity. However when I had trouble with insurance covering one of the prescriptions and I guess theres a coupon available that makes it 30$ for the first time and wen I called about it the medical assistant (whose name I will keep private) said that 30$ is pretty cheap compared to what they usually prescribed after I told her I couldnt afford it and especially that since the coupon was only for one time use and after that it would 205$ which I surely cant afford because I already have two chronic illnesses and have trouble affording my medical expenses for those...I asked her about an alternative one and that my insurance would sending over paperwork and she seemed as if she was getting impatient and that it was crazy that I couldnt afford the 30$ when I was trying to explain to her that Ive reached my out of pocket this year and I dont have any co pays anymore and that I need a medication that will be covered...she basically said theyve done what they could and rushed me off the phone. I am disappointed that they have people working there that cant emphathize with financial situations..

In early September Evans Dermatology on South Lamar, scheduled me in mid October because they didnt have any doctors on rotation at this location. The Doctor who saw me in October was great. Gave me a Chemo cream and said to come back to see the progress with in 30 days. I had an appointment this morning at 8:20 a.m. at the same branch of Evans Dermatology on South Lamar. Arrived early and at the reception counter, the receptionist said I wasnt on the list to be seen today, that I had canceled and rescheduled for January 3rd. I had spoken to no one about rescheduling. The receptionist called a doctor in the back and then told me they could see me some time today, the doctor who I was scheduled with wasnt on rotation today. So if I wanted to be seen, I had to stay until an opportunity came up. There were four people in the waiting area. She told me if I left the office that option would not be available. Just a little glitch Im sure but I found it not very professional and since no one was responsible, no one apologized.

Dr. Ranario and Sandra were excellent. I took my 88 year old father for the MOHS procedure and we had an excellent experience. The office is designed for comfort and the staff is very professional and friendly. We have been using Evans Dermatology for several years and this was the first time for this procedure. My Dad felt very comfortable and while waiting for each result of the MOHS procedure he was able to eat snacks (provided) and enjoy a movie in a nice friendly environment. They do not put you back in the original waiting room each time you have to wait for results. Dr. Ranario and Sandra were so nice and patient with us. I wish I good give them 100 stars. Thanks so much for the pleasant experience.

I had an appointment on Friday to have some places on my legs checked. I was impressed by how familiar with my insurance the lady on the phone was and when I got to the office, they had already verified my insurance. The lady who checked me in was so nice to listen to all of my concerns about unexpected cost. Dr. Rains was friendly and keep the conversation going, great distraction while he removed and froze some of the places on my legs. Overall, the experience was very personable and pleasant. I am still worried about some unexpected bill coming in my mail, and do wish that we would have discussed charges and insurance coverage before Dr. Rains did the procedures.

Have been a patient for several years and have always experienced professional and polite services throughout the interaction: from scheduling an appt., being reminded by them with a phone call and especially when arriving or paying your bill upon completion. The Dr.s and staff go above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of and all questions answered. I appreciate their explaining procedures and exams and what they have found so I can make informed decisions. I highly recommend this office for your dermatology needs.

From scheduling through filling out paperwork online - and not having to repeat at the office - to checking in and out - Evans Dermatology on S. Lamar was convenient and caring. I enjoyed a conversation with Dr. Rains - who introduced himself by his first name (very appreciated!) - and he explained everything he was doing, showed me the important stuff on a mirror or through a photo - and answered all of my questions fully and in easy to understand (but not condescending) lay terms. I referred my mom to Dr. Rains immediately!

This location is run so efficiently--its the only appointment I actually dont dread making. Everyone is kind and attentive; Ive never had trouble with a bill, an attitude, or a mix-up of any kind. Ive never even had to wait. They dont treat you like a freak if you are a cash pay patient, and the doctors are swift and competent without seeming dismissive. Ive been a patient for at least six years now (at various locations) and I plan to continue with Evans Dermatology.

Wonderful experience! The office is very clean and welcoming. The staff was pleasant and professional and I was seen exactly at my appointment time. Lindsey is in the right career. She listened to my concerns, answered my questions with responses tailored to my level of understanding--she talked like a real person, explaining initial diagnosis, the procedures accomplished and future care. I highly recommend Evans Dermatology. Thank you. Jim

I had basal cell surgery on March 30. Their entire operation, starting with the Brodie Lane facility, runs like clockwork. My surgeon was VERY good and the healing process has progressed perfectly. I cant say enough good things about the Evans group. On at least a half dozen occasions when Ive recommended them to my friends, it has turned out that those friends are already Evans patients. You cant go wrong with these folks.
