Im truly disgusted by the whole experience and negativity! Ive recently transferred doctor because I moved to Baytown from Houston. Ive read the bad reviews here but decided to give her a try. Worst mistake ever! I honestly believe that all other "good" reviews are made up from her staff. My first day there was an extremely long wait for hours! What was the point in that?! After waiting for Dr. Frey, I went to make my next appointment with the staff but the nurse told me to "Hold on" instead of "Well be right with you." As if your personal conversation is more important than the clients? Dr. Freys staff need to learn more about professionalism, appropriate behavior, and most of all: RESPECT for all clients!!! And the staff need to stop charging the clients for petty things, just because they feel like it. I came by the office to ask my doctor to fill out a paper from the Workforce Solutions about job restrictions because Im 37 weeks pregnant and cant lift heavy things, etc. The nurses of course was terribly rude and childish, saying that if Im not on bed rest then I must work. Whats the point on working when Im dealing with endless nights of horrible sleeping due to my horrible braxton hicks and my loose joints, back, legs, and pelvic are in pain? I dont mind working but Im about to have the baby any day now so theres really no point in me working. If I went to work and my water break, I wouldnt be able to return to my new job for 3 weeks anyway. Ive worked during my first pregnancy all the way until my water broke but every pregnancy is different and this is my second pregnancy, which I have threatened miscarriage and threatened pre-term labor. I asked if I could just talk to my doctor to have her fill it out. Why do I need to explain everything to the nurses when I could just talk to my doctor, since the staff was being discourteous and pride themselves on their attitude? I felt like I was dealing with a bunch of negative children who want to be rude and they are unsympathetic. I have informed the nurse that I almost had a pre-term labor last month due to a stomach bug and dehydration and I could have the hospital fax the papers but she told me that the doctor will only look at whats in my record. I told her that I was going to have it fax over anyway since the staff refused to believe me. She told me that the doctor will fill the paper out but I will be charge $25 for it. That was the very last straw! I have informed the staff that Im transferring to another doctor obviously because of the their unnecessary attitude and I gave her a big smile. Because what kind of a person would stoop so low to be vulgar to pregnant clients and treat us with such disrespect and hatred? Bless their poor heart! Prayers to the staff and the business.

I saw the reviews but decided to give her a chance anyways for our first baby. HUGE mistake. She made me and my husband wait in the waiting room for hours. When we finally got a room the nurse had no idea what she was doing and did not know if I was 6 weeks or 8 weeks because she did not know how to work the instrument. She also gave us 5 days that the due date could be. After that she asked me to take off all my clothes, put on the thin paper vest, and wait on the table for the pelvic exam. Me and my husband waited yet another hour. This is our first baby and we thought this would be a better experience. When the doctor finally came in she was very cold as other reviewers stated. She never introduced herself, never said a congratulations or anything. She just did the exam, handed us a bag of magazines, and said "any questions?" All that waiting for that... she also prescribed me an antibiotic to prevent UTIs and my new doctor said they would NEVER prescribe such medication in a first trimester. I am lucky that nothing happened. She also believes more in money and will tell you that you need a c-section when you do not so that she will make more. I seriously would not recommend anyone to her or believe anything she says. She also was not going to do an ultrasound until I was 30 something weeks. My new doctor is doing it at 18 weeks. Tomorrow!! :) Another huge thing, the staff tries to give information that they have no idea about. My husband and I asked over and over if the blood work would go towards the new year since we did not want to pay 2 deductibles. ( our appt was December 9) She assured us that it would and it would all be covered under our insurance. Instead, we got a bill for almost $800. This is the second time they had told us something would be covered and it was not. As a young couple, we did not want to spend this amount of money. I really hope that no one goes to her, it is not worth the money, and risk to your baby with bad information. Dr. Gayle is much better. I have not met her but we go to her midwife Dr. Hughes. The staff is much more knowledgeable and she takes as much time as you need and cares about you and your baby. We enjoyed our experience with her, and that is how it should be!

I went to Dr,Frey with female problems in need of a hystorectomy. She would come in alright and I needed it done because my heatlh was bad because bleeding all the time. She agree with my regular Dr.it needs to be done i had become sevrely low in iron and had blood presure problems from it.Day of surgery all was well day after until that night.I started getting sick.Had fever and vomiting.Day I went home still had small fever. No pain killer could touch my pain. The during the week after I went home my pain increased to unbearable.Tried to call no one would answer. Finally vomiting for a day my husband took me in.I had begun to pee on myself.By time I saw her I was in depends @ 34 yrs old! It took 4,then 8 depends a day.She ran tests to find out what happen.Come to find out she had sowen my ureter up causing my pee to back up in my kidney causing damage. She sent me to Dr.Magdy who saved my life and is a good DR. But her friend.I went to her to see if she would just pay the bills from it.That was not any help.No lawyer will help because of a law passed in 2005. My husband lost his job,I lost mine, and now have unpaid medical bills I cant afford becaose the only job I can do is security. And I still have bladder pain that wont go away. Then worry about my kidney if its damage bad.And no insurance now.Im having to use pads to stay dry.I relay on my God.Please dont use her.

The very least I can do is write this review and hope to God that maybe just maybe it stops someone from making the same mistake I did. My experience with this Dr.s office was the absolute worst at a time when I really needed the absolute best. I was having my first child and had no idea what to expect and really needed a Dr that was willing to take the time to explain things to me and just generally make the process more comfortable and less stressful. Instead I got the exact opposite. In the beginning I dealt with Dr. Frey and found her to be cold and always dying to get out of there as quickly as possible. I eventually switched to the midwife which proved to be another HUGE mistake. Let me tell you this and you can decide if you deem it exceptable. While I was pushing during the birth of my child she answered her cell phone...WHILE SHE WAS IN BETWEEN MY LEGS! Yea. She cut me more than she needed to, she stitched me up all wrong (and had the audacity to blame it on me!) and gripped at me for not choosing to douche beforehand. The list goes on and on. Go to Houston if you have to but DONT go there. Oh there is one positive. The nurses are the sweetest girls ever.
