Altogether Beautiful
BEYOND frustrated with the head orthodontics Dr. here. My teeth are crooked, wasted money, time and years of having braces for nothing. I never, never write reviews but this just makes me so agitated I had to make sure no one else went through the same thing. I got braces a couple of years back and when I got them off I asked him to put a permanent retainer behind my teeth so they didnt shift and also so I did not have to wear the clear, plastic retainer every night for the rest of my life. Well, he said he didnt "believe" in the permenant retainer. Fast forward years down the road and I am so so disappointed with the service I received here. Not only do I STILL have to wear the plastic retainer (which I have lost 2 times and it cost $250 to replace it each time) BUT my teeth arent even straight anymore. The clear retainers are so annoying to wear every night (definitely after years of wearing it.....) plus it gets nasty and I have to clean it very regularly plus it stretched out because my teeth shifted even though I wear it regularly. All of my other friends who got braces at the same time I did, for one they had their actual braces on for a shorter period of time, for 2 they got the permanent retainer so they never had to mess with the clear retainer AND their teeth are still perfectly straight (even though they got their braces off years ago, just like me) Do not go here.....absolute waste of money. All those years or having braces for nothing, wearing the retainer for nothing and now I am about to have to go back to a different orthodontist, pay a lot of money so he can finally fix my teeth and then put the permanent retainer behind them after they are straight. Seriously....just dont do it. Save your money, time and sanity.

I took a look at several other orthodontists in the nearby area when my dentist suggested I start orthodontist pre-treatment. I selected Dr. Hodgkins because his approach was conservative, he had many years of experience in the field, I liked him personally as well as his staff, and he was under my insurance plan. I have an 8 year old daughter who started with a palatal expander in August 2012, and now shes in her first retainer. So, its been about 6 months since we started her program. And, her teeth are progressing very well. And, Dr. Hodgkins is so wonderful with patients! He is so friendly and kind to my daughter. We simply love him and his staff! His staff are always friendly and professional. I highly recommend him. We are very pleased that we decided to go with Dr. Hodgkins.

I went to Dr. Hodgkins office after over a decade because I needed a new retainer and the experience was second to none as far as dental visits go. The staff was friendly and efficient and Dr. Hodgkins is professional, experienced, and made the dreaded dentist/orthodontist visit as pleasant as possible. If you have any dental issues i highly recommend that you go with Dr. Hodgkins. I have attended other dental offices and found that it does not get better than this. Quick, painless, friendly, efficient, all around.

We love Dr. Hodgkins and his office! Both parents and one daughter are/were patients there, and our youngest is soon to be a patient! The staff is so friendly, it is easy to schedule appointments, they are on time and they are priced very reasonably for orthodontic work. We had SIX opinions for our daughter before choosing Dr. Hodgkins, and we are so happy with our selection. Mom and dad are finished with treatment and have gorgeous straight teeth and can see the same prediction with our teenager!

Dr. Hodgkins and his entire staff are amazing! He is thorough, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. I did my research first, and Dr. Hodgkins is by far the best in town. I drive all the way from South Austin every 4 weeks because I cannot find a better orthodontist. He knows how to hire the best people in all the different aspects of running his business. There really isnt a better option, so stop looking! :-) Dr Hodgkins may have competitors, but he doesnt have any competition.

The Staff are very friendly, welcoming and personable. They are willing to answer any questions that I had about my braces. The staff was on time with my appointments with little to no wait time. Kathy was always able to accommodate my schedule when it came to my appointments, Frank was very helpful and knowledgeable with all of my insurance questions. Dr. Hodgkins has created a Super Team! I would recommend them to all of my friends and family.

This was decent when Dr Hodgkins ran it. Since Smile Savers took over, I do not recommend going there. The office is only staffed every other week. If you call for an appointment to smile savers number they cant access your records...so no appointment. And the office closes at noon on Fridays. Cathy is still at the front desk but that is the only positive left from the old office.

I have been very pleased with Smile Doctors since they took over my treatments last year. My son is also now a patient and I recently had a friend who I referred sign up with them as well. I really like their energy and they are perfectionist so I know once my sons and my treatments are done, our teeth will be perfect!

Great team! Dr. Hodgkins has assembled a great team. I usually interact with Kathy (front desk), Janie (technician) and Dr. Hodgkins (in the same order :)). Kathy, Janie and Dr. Hodgkins are fabulous. They are super friendly and awesome. I never had any problems or issues. Keep it up!!

Very friendly and professional service! I started out with a retainer and then went on to using braces while my other teeth started growing in. Even though it has taken such a long time, my teeth have turned out great! I just recently got my braces off and they are perfectly straight.

The staff is awesome, they are very friendly and attentive. If I have questions they are very knowledgeable. My sons dentist said he really likes the braces used they are easier for him to get a good cleaning. They are affordable and I highly recommend this place.
