If you want to have to go to this doctor non-stop to get your meds then go here. You will get 15 days’ supply of your medication and have to continue to go to unnecessary appointment so they can get their co-pay. These people pray on your need to not be in pain. I needed to change my medication and they have done it before over the phone. I just brought my old meds to pharmacy and returned them to get another type of medication. I literally had something like 5 visits in 2 months. I have had to call in work and spend so much time and gas to get 15 days’ worth of meds at a time not to mention hundreds of dollars in co-pays. there are plenty of pain management doctors who will work with you and give you 1-2 months of medication because they realize your life is busy and hard especially us with chronic pain. If you have chronic pain and will be needing pain medication for long periods of time DO NOT GO TO this place. They will bleed you dry and waste a lot of time. My father past away and they refused to fill my medication even though I just had a visit with them. ALL about that $$$$ MONEY. they don’t care about you only about getting you in there for a worthless visit where you say the same thing and they extend you another 15 day. To many great doctors out there that care for you to waste your money and time on these vampires. They have this attitude cause being in pain all the time makes you need these people so they feel they can do whatever they want cause we cannot live in pain. its monstrous. NO empathy or kindness with these people Thanks for doing nothing during one of the roughest time of my life when my father past and you let me suffer in pain and did nothing Brooks

I wont go into my diseases, but one of my illnesses causes extreme pain in my kidneys. My digestive tract is paralyzed, so I need medications that dont go through my stomach. Dr. Alvarados staff takes very good care of me. I take monthly urine tests and was lectured once for testing positive for a medication that they prescribe. Once I set that straight the PA looked at my record and realized she was wrong. The staff is great. The receptionist is the sweetest woman youd ever want to meet. Every month I walk in and she calls me by name. The only major problem Ive ever had was Dr. Alvarados office (I still dont know where/who the problem was) kept prescribing me a medication I couldnt take. My gastroenterologist called and told them I couldnt take that medication and to stop prescribing it. Three months later the pharmacist finally stepped in and called Dr. Alvarados office and straightened everything out letting them know I had never filled the prescription and that they needed to quit prescribing it. They never prescribed it after that. Also, the nurse who takes my blood pressure when I first come in asks me at least 6 times a year (so every other appointment) if Ive tried physical therapy to alleviate my pain...for my kidney disease. The nurses usually tell me that they have questions they *have* to ask or the office manager will be angry. Their office manager needs to be more flexible and understand that all cases are different, and some questions arent needed. Other than that, Ive never had a major issue with Dr. Alvarados office.

I have been a patient of Dr alvarado for over two years. I never had a problem. Both he and staff were great. So i have to get insurance through Obama care website. I hate it and i understand why all my doctors will not take my insurance anymore. So because they dont take my insurance and my new doctor cant fill my pain meds because hes so affraid because of the abuse with drugs. I called to see if Dr. Alvarado could give me a refill while i wait for a new referrel . I would have given a 5 but for some reason even after several years a patient i cant even get a courtesy No. i even said id pay a customer pay if i needed to. So 3 stars because if theres one thing i find most frustrating is being told the doctor or staff will let me know and dont. So if you have insurance you are in great hands. I did get an answer today so even though it took a week im greatful they did. For this i am changing to 5 stars because thats really the only problem i have ever had since 2014.
