I live close by and thought Id give them a try and Im glad I did. I have had bad experiences with veterinarians (Rutherfords Veterinarian Sucks) before so dont really trust them. I have a German Shepard that hurt his back leg and I took him to Rutherfords Veterinarian and they looked him over. after a brief check with no X-Rays they recommended a $3000.00 dollar surgery or put him down. Just like that cut and dry. I was feeling bad for me and my Shepard because i was so attached to him. I told Rutherfords Veterinarian that I couldnt afford to put that much money into his surgery right now. So I paid there $100.00 dollar check fee and went home. On the drive home I couldnt believe what I was just told and the options that were given to me. I decided to take the day off work the next day and get a second opinion. thats when I took "Hans" my Shepard to A&B animal clinic and Im glad I did. Everyone was nice when I walked in and I only had to wait for a few minutes to get into a room. The Vet came in and introduced himself and started looking over "Hans". Only after looking over "Hans" did the Vet determine that "Hans" had a sprained leg. I couldnt believe what I was just told. You cant imagine how happy I was with the news that was just given to me. The Vet sent me home with a some medication and "Hans" was fixed in 1 week. Great Job A&B Animal Clinic.... I will be back again for sure. I really appreciate your honesty and all the help. We have used A&B Animal clinic for our pets for close to 20 years, Dr Ahumada was one amazing vet and leader in the White Rock community, we were devastated with his passing. Yet the team that has always been there has pulled together and given the same quality care under the leadership of Dr Bergeron. We had the unfortunate loss of our little yorkie TobySue due to an incurable neurological disorder, the day we lost him was Dr Terry Litseys first day to join the team, his skills, compassion and care were invaluable in our time of loss, grief and need. Dr Jennifer Ritchie has stepped in and given us the same professional compassionate care that we have always received at A&B Animal Clinic, assisting us with major medical decisions and surgery for our yorkies. Lead Vet Tech Becki and Tech Pam have been with the clinic from our beginning and Tech Angie for many years. Long term trained employees on the team speak well of A&B Animal Clinic. The Team at A&B Animal Clinic is truly our other family doctor and cannot be replaced.

A vet should love animals, and Drs. A and B certainly do! From dogs, to cats, to birds, and lizzards, these clinicians know their stuff and will take fantastic care of your pets. Unlike other vets in the area, Dr. Ahumada wont insist on a series of unnecessary tests. From years and years of experience, he can typically spot the correct problem and prescribe effective treatment - without hundreds of dollars of blood, urine, and x-ray tests. However, when your animal really needs a thorough lab or urology assessment, Dr. A will explain the test, what the test intends to accomplish, and what the animal will experience when its being done. From years and years of going to clinicians who walk the dogs out and $500 later you learn what tests they performed and why, I appreciate the education I receive whenever I go in. Also, my dogs love Dr. A, which is a feat given the poking and prodding that goes on. Finally, dont be fooled by the modest office setting. Beautiful decor doesnt make a great vet.

I took a dog I found in the street to this Vet. The dog, a beautiful Labrador was well taken care of he was someones baby. The Vet told me that people drop these great animals off when they find that they have heartworms. Well he came back and said that he was positive for heartworms. And gave me the price of the treatment. It just did not make since to me so I contacted another Vet and the test was negative and I got another Vets oppinion and they tested him and he showed negative with them. I think this Vet only cares about money and I think it is abusive to subject and animal to that treatment when it is not nessesary. Do not drive up in an expensive car like a Jag, Benz et... like I did it so maybe the abusive money grubbing side of him wont come out. Oh he also made up a name for a further test he did that I have also found out does not exist......

This has gotta be the best animal clinic in town. My husband and I took our cat to them last week, who unfortunately had to be put to sleep. The lady treating her didnt try to bleed us for money under the "treatment" pretense. They let us know right up front that even if they ran a series of costly tests it would be pointless, and would only prolong the inevitable. A few days later we received a sympathy card with a ribbon tied around a strand of her hair and her little paw print inside. How thoughtful and cute was that?? When we went back a few days later to pick up her ashes they were inside a beautiful wooden box with her name written in gold on top of it. They were very sympathetic and caring. Their excellent customer service has won our loyalty with any future pet that we may get. I recommend them HIGHLY!!

A an B animal clinic is the BEST! We have been taking our babies there for over 20 years. Our experience has always been positive. The Vets are all very personable and show their love of animals and people with careful assessment, and handling of both animals and their parents:) The animal technicians are super attentive and kind, and always helpful in assisting concerned pet parents to coordinate vetinary visits and physician callbacks into their busy working day. Above all I TRUST that A and B Animal clinic will provide the BEST and most COMPASSIONATE care to my animals, nomatter what. I would highly recommend them to any caring pet owner.

Ive been using A&B for over 20 years. While I miss Dr. Ahumada, the new Veterinarians are carrying on the wonderful care for my treasured family members, canine and feline. I have high praise for Dr. Jennifer Richey at A&B Animal Clinic. She evaluated my cat when she was diagnosed with diabetes, and by closely monitoring her food and insulin levels periodically, we were able to take her off the insulin altogether in just a couple of months! She and Dr. Litsey have been very good with my dogs as well, and the tech staff is wonderful---Pam, Becky, Marcy et al.

I have been going here for the last few years and I always have great care for my two cats and dog. I was referred by my husband who has been going there for close to 10 years! They do not push unnecessary meds or procedures and are a good price for everything you do chose for your animal. We love their relaxed and kind staff. It isnt decorated like most vets Ive been to, but all the rooms are adorned with lots of goofy pet pictures, figurines, poems etc. Never a dull wait, not that Ive had much of one while visiting.
