I went in with a stye on my eyelid at the same place I did in 2003 and successfully removed in Odessa, TX. This time, Ive had the stye for 5 months and was a solid ball and I wanted it removed for cosmetic reason, it did not cause any pain. On my 1st visit at Dallas eye care associates I was charged a consultation fee and prescribed an antibiotic ointment and told to do warm compresses and reschedule after a few weeks, they would not remove the stye. On my 2nd visit I was charged a consultation fee again along with an incision fee and my stye was removed. The removal of the stye was not professional at all. They caused me a lot of pain, more than any dental procedures I have had, I had blood running down my face and onto my shirt and they were fumbling around looking for tissues. They did not seem to have the necessary supplies ready and the doctor was not even going to use antibiotics drops after the procedure until the assistant asked. I was not given a RX for drops or oral antibiotics. Needless to say 2 weeks after the removal of the stye it came back on the same eye in 2 different spots and was infected. I got my family doctor to write a RX for doxycycline which did help the infection and made the stye smaller. What remained was the scar tissue which was not properly removed the first time. 3 weeks after the stye reappeared, I made a 3rd appointment and the doc told me its scar tissue and to schedule an appointment in a month to have it removed. On this visit, I was charged a consultation fee again. In all I have paid for 3 consultation fees and over $400 and the stye in still there. If I want it removed, Im sure they will charge me a 4th consultation fee and incision fee again. Even worse, each time I was overcharged the contracted rate they had with my insurance and had to be credited. The only reason I knew this was that my insurance company set me a letter saying I may have been over billed. I even spoke to the office manager regarding this and she didnt seem to care and pretty much said that I have to pay each time regardless of if they made a mistake. This office is just after your money vs quality care. Be wary.

While I am happy with my optometrist at Dallas Eye Care I recommend you fill your prescription elsewhere. The price quoted to me for new lenses in my three pair of glasses was over three times as much as Sams Club (where I ultimately had my RX filled). Because they took my insurance I invested in an additional set of frames and lenses which I did purchase from Dallas Eye Care. The Sams order was ready in three days; the Dallas Eye Care order in three weeks! The salespeople were condescending and poorly trained as technicians. When I picked up the new glasses the "technician" had to go to the back room and have someone else make the adjustments. When I commented they were still a bit crooked, she argued they were not. When I said I could not read the finest print she handed me to test, she said I just had to learn to "use" them. I was not notified by this office when my glasses were ready, but quickly notified that they had made an addition error and I owed more money.

I purchased frames I found at Dallas Eye Care. An optician helped me pick them out. I got them filled elsewhere (a respectable place), but quickly found out the glasses I chose were too wide for my face and made it distort my view. (The prescription was reviewed and other problems checked for.) They make me dizzy, so I cannot use them. Ive made an attempt to return the frames for any money back, and they are completely unwilling to work with me. They are in the original condition with original lenses. The optician is very friendly when you pick them out, but if there is a problem, they are difficult and condescending. Now Im completely out $400. As a side note, the reason I didnt fill the prescription there is because they were 3 times the price elsewhere. Every other optical place I have spoken with has said that not being able to return frames is completely out of the norm.

I have been a patient at Dallas Eye Care for two years. I have my eyes checked there and it was determined that I needed cataract surgery on my right eye. The nurses and technicians their are the nicest most caring people I have experienced in any care giver facility as are the doctors. The surgery went beautifully and was explained totally before having it. The after care was terrific also. I did not realize the severity of my bad vision until I had the surgery. It was like coming out of the dark into the light. I would recommend DECA to anyone for any type of help need with their vision. Thank you DECA.

I am long time patient of the Drs Wood at Preston Forest and Presbyterian Professional Building, and now at Dallas Eye Care Associates at their current Glen Lakes location. I am very impressed with efforts to stay current with the latest technologies while still maintaining a personable relationship with their clients. I would very much recommend entrusting your eyesight to their care.

Couldnt be happier with Dallas Eye Care ! I have a special problem with one eye seeing larger sized images than the other resulting, effectively, with double vision. They have worked extra long with me and their solution allows me to be able to read my music as I play in the Dallas Banjo Band. Their staff is also very courteous and caring, and I dont feel like just a number there.

The very best eye care I have ever received. Dr. Wood and staff are caring, friendly and professional all the way. For a number of years, under their care, my Glaucoma has been kept under control. I have every confidence that I am in good hands. When in for an appointment I am kept informed all the way as to treatment being administered and what to expect next.

I began going to Dr. S. Wood when they were in the Professional Building at Presbyterian back in the early 90s. I am now currently seeing Dr. Harrde and I could not be happier with all the doctors at Dallas Eye Care. They stay up on all the latest advances in medical treatments and diseases. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an Opthamologist.

Dr. Mujahid Hines corrected my Dads cataracts and not only are they gone after surgery, He has better vision than he has had in a long time. Now he does not have to have a second surgery to correct his eye drainage. Dr. Hines explained things He did not understand and made sure he understood. Dr. Hines was very caring and thorough.
