My uncle almost died there and here are the reasons why: 1) One time when they gave him a bath the man that was carrying DRAGGED him out of the bed and tore his skin. The man denied that the blood was coming from my uncle even though there was trail of blood all over the floor. 2) They put a catheter that was too small and had him bleeding from his penis because they where too rough AND plugged up his urethra. His bladder was like an over blown balloon about to burst and his stomach swelled up so bad it looked like he was 9 months pregnant. 3) They took x-rays of his stomach but they didnt fix the problem. When he finally made it back to the hospital the doctor asked why they didnt send him sooner. 4) My uncle was recovering from surgery and the cream they where putting on him was giving him a rash but the CNA kept applying the cream to the point the rash had completely covered his back, butt, and testicles. It wasnt until we talked to the social worker there and the man who is in charge of the facility that they changed the cream. 5) When they changed the sheets on the bed they tucked his catheter underneath them and once again he couldnt pee all day and all night. 6) Anytime something went wrong they never told us about it and every time we found out, they would deny everything. WARNING: some of the same people working at Mesa Hills also work at Trisun.

My husband was discharged from Providence Memorial Hospital to Mesa Hills on April 25th to receive physical therapy in order to regain his walking ability. During his stay, he lost his voice and started complaining about stomach problems. I spoke to several of his nurses asking to speak to Dr. Velasquez who was his attending doctor to ask about these issues. The nurses told me that they would text him and ask him to call me. I also called his office and left messages and he never returned my call; I was also told by the 4th floor nurses that Dr. Velasquez would come in maybe 3 times a week at night after the patients were asleep and check the patients chart. I visited him every day and never did I meet or speak with Dr. Velasquez. After two weeks on May 10th, my husband was rushed back to Providence Memorial and was diagnosed with double pneumonia and an obstructed bowel which the nurses never noticed he had; he died on May 14th. I want to make it known that this "so called rehab center" was totally negligent and irresponsible in treating my husband. PLEASE dont take any of your loved ones to this place.

Amazing staff. They gave us the ease of mind knowing my grandfather was in good hands during his road to recovery. Nurse Lorenzo made every effort to make him feel as comfortable as possible each and every day and the Drs and respiratory team were always a delight to hear from as they kept us up to date and constantly asked if there were any questions they could answer for us. Definitely a hospital I would recommend!
