My husband and I were still new to the Frisco area when I became pregnant and decided when I started my third trimester that we needed to decide on a pediatrician. I had a new OB and asked for her opinion and she referred us to Dr. Guetersloh. When our son was born in June 2009, Dr. G was out of town (and we had not yet met him or any of his colleagues) and Dr. Newton came in his place. Dr. Newton stayed with us until he had answered every question we had (and we had A LOT as first-time parents!). We were in the hospital for 5 days (C-section) and he visited us and our newborn son every day. We were even surprised and impressed when he showed up on Sunday (in casual dress - jeans and a T-shirt - which made us feel like he was human) to check on us. Our son is now 7 months old and Dr. Newton has been out pediatrician ever since the hospital. We still have never met Dr. G, but we LOVE LOVE LOVELOVELOVELOVE LLLLLLLLLLLLLLOVE Dr. Newton! He is always ready when I go in with a barrage of questions about our son and we see him EVERY time. His nurses are unbelievably sweet and empathetic (which comes in handy around vaccine time). I always get a prompt call from a nurse when I leave a message with a question requesting a call back. Dr. Newtons medical assistant, Debbie, is just as awesome and Im never disappointed when we get her if Dr. Newtons unavailable. If I could clone Dr. Newton and take him around in my purse... In summation - we are very happy with our doctor. Hes very approachable, knowledgeable, gentle, and he has a great sense of humor. I havent asked him if he enjoys long walks on the beach, but Im sure he does. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! :)

Its an assembly line. No personal attention, always rushing through well visits, actually any and every visit. I think they allocate 5 mins max to be spent with each patient so they can see more patients in a day. Feels as if theyre doing a favor by answering your questions. After a few visits, we even hesitated asking questions because we realized that their response would be yes or no. Nothing much. We started going here for our daughter through various recommendations as well just like other users, but got very disappointed. Seems like the practice is doing fairly well, so the focus is on money rather than care. Nurse Debbie is good and caring though, so dont want to take that away. So are the other nurses who get you checked in. The issue is with the doctors and the reception staff. Any time you ask for a change in appointment which is 4 months down the line, you get told that there are no other slots open. Take it or leave it. Or see the nurse. So it doesnt matter whether it works for you or not, if you want your 5 mins with the Dr. there is that one slot the entire month that can have. The doctors calendar is completely booked 4 months in the future for his own patients? If they continue to treat their customers like this, this fame is not going to last much. We ended up switching to a new pediatrician to runs a medical practice for kids rather than a business for making money and nothing else.

We chose Dr. Guetersloh as our sons pediatrician from a friends recommendation. When we checked into the hospital for his birth, the nurses asked for our pedis name, and every one of the L&D nurses and my OB doc all raved about Dr. G. My main L&D nurse takes her children to Dr. G. Also, I found out my OB actually went to med school with Dr. G, which I did not know at the time that we picked him. We were in the hospital for 5 days when he was born (I had a c-section) and we saw Dr. Nail, Dr. Weiser, and Dr. Guetersloh on rounds. All were wonderful. We never felt rushed with any of them, they always answered our questions, and made us feel very comfortable. When we started coming for well visits, they all remembered us and stopped to say hi in the hall. Later, our son had a bit of reflux that manifested as laryngospasms. He started making a scary stridor-like sound when he cried so we took him in; Dr. G knew what it was as soon as he examined him. Weve never had to wait more than 5-10 min for an appt. Weve used the phone nurse a few times, and they always return our call within the promised time (less than 2 hours). Our son is 4 months old now and we couldnt be happier!

beniceto, We demand that you retract your outrageously false accusation immediately, or we will pursue legal action. This is libel, pure and simple. The facts of the matter are as follows: 1. It is against our office policy to see unattended minors. There is no way you dropped your child off for 30 minutes while we proceeded with a medical exam without another adult present. 2. There have been no such complaints reported to our office. 3. There are no police reports filed against our office. 4. There are no complaints filed with the state attorney generals office. The last 2 points are public record and can be freely investigated by any interested parties. Im not sure what agenda you are advancing in slandering the good name of myself, my partner, and our practice, but we will not tolerate this attempt to impugn our integrity. We have contacted google and will pursue every legal avenue available to determine your identity and have you prosecuted to the full extent of the law. We hope that any third parties reading this review will see the absurd nature of those statements and treat them accordingly. Christopher L. Newton, M.D., Ph.D.

If your child is sick and you want to see a doctor here, GOOL LUCK. It is easier to get an appointment to see the queen of England that see a doctor in this office. The minute you call and request to see one, the well trained staff at the front desk will let you know that there is no doctor available and will immediately push you to see the nurse practitioner. Nothing you can do about it. If you want your child to be seen today, then it will have to be with the nurse practitioner. Take it or leave it. How about tomorrow? NOPE. Not an option. Cannot make an appointment in advance. Only same day appointments. WHAT? Are you kidding me? What if I want to see a doctor tomorrow? You just have to wait until morning and then call. When you call, see earlier comment about the queen. If you don’t mind being manipulated then you’re welcome to stay. I’m looking for another provider.

Horrible, horrible, horrible experience with Dr. Crow. Upon entering the room, the physician discovered that she had my child mixed up with another of the same name. Then, she proceeded to tell us that "we are already running late, so lets get this over with". Obviously, neither myself nor my child were motivated by this statement and the exam was a rushed, struggle for the next few minutes. She approached my child as though he was not even a person. Then, she brought up topics we should be working on this year... "stranger danger". Such an appropriate topic to discuss after her very unfriendly exam. I have made multiple attempts (3) to contact the office manager, but still no return phone call. It looks as though this practice is just too busy to treat their customers correctly.
