Terrible experience with Dr. Leonhardt. While I was pregnant I chose Dr. Leonhardt because of good reviews and the proximity of her office to my house. On the day I was supposed to leave the hospital with my son after giving birth, Dr. Leonhardt still had not come to our room to discharge us from the hospital. The nurses kept telling us we had to wait. We ended up waiting hours for her to see our son and discharge us, and she was with us for a total of 5 minutes. She was SO rushed. All she managed to say was that our sons head measured small. We asked if that was an issue and she said it could be and left. I was horrified. I am a first time mother and all she did was make me wait and worry me. We followed up with her the next week in her office for my sons first vaccinations, and it got even WORSE. The nurse that came in before the doctor told us that in order for our son to start getting on a schedule for eating and sleeping we need to feed him only at certain times a day, regardless if he is crying or not. My son was only a week old at the time and I was shocked that this was her advice to us! My husband told her that was terrible advice and we wouldnt be doing that. She just looked at me incredulously and was upset that my husband disagreed with her. Finally we see the doctor and no surprise here, she had no clue who we were! We had JUST seen her the week prior in the office, but how could she remember us since she only gave us 5 minutes of her precious time? We asked her about his head size because she was the one who brought it up in the hospital. She basically said that we were crazy to worry about such a thing and laughed. She never once called me by name. She just kept calling me mom. Very bizarre experience. And to add insult to injury she kept pushing a certain brand of formula on us. I told her that I wasnt interested but she kept insisting. I now go to Pediatrics of Greater Houston in the medical center and I am pleased with the level of care I receive. I just wanted to warn other potential parents of what we went through with Dr. Leonhardt.

Ive been to this office with my infant 4 times and finally switched to Dr. David Walburn. I was told to schedule an appointment upon release from the hospital, but after arriving to the office with my newborn, sitting in the waiting room, and going through with the appointment, I was told wed need to come back a few days later, during which time we repeated everything; apparently the first appointment was too soon. During our next visit, we had called about what we thought was an eye infection, were told to come in, again waited far beyond our scheduled morning visit (with a newborn mind you), only to be told this was an issue due to clogged tear ducts that was not treatable. Ritika said shed provide information as usual, then proceeded to Google a search term and print up some random article... Thanks? Finally, during our last visit, we waited again well beyond our scheduled time for 2 month immunizations, this time waiting for the nurse to provide my daughters growth relativity numbers on our way out, which as usual took 10+ minutes (for 3 numbers to be written down on a chart). Needless to say, this office is very poorly run, consistently getting us back to see the nurse much later than our scheduled time, despite us having pre-9 am appointment times. Beyond that, we have never seen/met the doctor, and information provided always seems like an afterthought. Most importantly, we have had TWO unnecessary appointments, which the front desk should have corrected prior to us strapping a 6 pound, 4-day-old into a car seat and driving her in. Complete disappointment, which is sad given how much I liked the young doctor who visited us at the hospital.

No call backs, rude nurse on the phone who claimed to make a call to verify my insurance (claiming second attempt to reach me, but it truly was the first, and my phone records showed this), and I was dismissed from the practice because I refused to vaccinate on time. Not a breast feeding advocate, only does well baby and immunizations on a reliable basis. If you ever need anything when your child is actually sick, you will need a backup plan. I never actually met the doctor. For some reason, the nurses always handled my appointments!! Is this common practice, or luck of the draw? I will never know. I decided to leave my review today because I am still getting a cancellation fee from about a year ago. I decided to take my child elsewhere since Dr Leonhardt didnt seem interested in keeping us on. She is serious about that cancellation fee though!!

If you are worried about the health of your children, AVOID this doctor. It seems this doctor only goes to hospitals (Memorial Hermann) to recruit newborns to charge for the visit and then forgets about them and doesnt make a proper follow up. Meeting her at the hospital she seemed to be very nice even smiled a lot, however when we needed her she was never available: few days later in the 1st appointment she was not there, and another doctor met us, then she called and sent us to the hospital because our newborn had alarming jaundice levels, and then she never showed up at the hospital, she didnt answer our calls neither phone messages and later in the follow up appointment after we left the hospital she was not there, we asked to talk to her and she refused. As I dont have a google account, Im using my friends, my name is Arturo Mendoza

Wow seeing all the reviews on here and its crazy they are so bad! I never had a bad experience with the office or doctors. Most people are complaining about other doctors seeing their child beside Dr Leonhardt, I think thats pretty common unless you MUST see Dr Leonhardt. I moved my 2 kids to this doctor from memorial pediatrics Dr.Hay and Dr Hay never usually saw my son, actually the other on doctor did and we loved her as she was very nice and truly cared for my sons health. We just moved doctors because this office is closer and is open on Saturdays which helps me with work especially with 2 kids. I just recently took my newborn for a sick visit and he saw the doctor who was very informative and kind. The office is VERY nice off woodway.

My wife and I have taken both of our daughters to Dr. Leonhardt since they were born. We have never had any problems here. We have always been very happy with all of the staff, and they have always been very friendly. We never have to wait long for an appointment, and Dr. Leonhardt is absolutely great with both of our kids. She is very patient and kind. As new parents, we had lots of questions and worries, and she always was sure to answer all of our questions, and get us through any kind of worry we had. I definitely recommend Dr. Leonhardt and Bee Well Pediatrics to anyone, and we wouldnt go anywhere else.

Good experience for well-visits but when we needed questions answered it was very difficult to reach a nurse or dr. I never received a call back on multiple occasions, and the office secretary would rudely brush off my questions as unimportant and not leave a message with the physician or nurse. We never received follow up calls on results of important labs and tests. Also expect a very long wait- 1-3 hrs each visit. Dr Leonhardt is not a breastfeeding advocate, and is a bit rushed. Overall not the right pediatrician for us.
