Honestly, there are other better pediatricians in Houston - lots of them. Dr. Wolens is nice and all, but I transferred my childrens care because I did not like the way the well child visits were conducted. He gave little to no education (What should my child be doing at this age? Developmental milestones? Potential challenges, etc.) and started every visit facing his computer asking me questions. Then he proceeded to check the boxes to determine if my child was "normal" or not. Hed ask if I had any questions and if not, the visit was over. He took little to no initiative to educate me as a parent. Especially for well child visits, I consider that one of the main things they should be expected to do...even if it does take an extra 7 minutes. Also, I chose him originally because people said he was flexible on vaccines. (We fully vaccinate, but on a little later schedule.) I found that he was not very willing to discuss deviations and mostly strongly encouraged us to follow the prescribed schedule. If you want a cookie cutter pediatrician that will send you home with a computer print out of your childs development "progress", choose Dr. Wolens. Hes just average. I suggest you look elsewhere if you want a pedi who can dialog a bit on the issues and build a genuine relationship with you and your children.

I love Dee and the staff at VIP Pediatrics!! They are absolutely one of a kind. We are moving from Houston back to Reno, and I am so so sad to have to say goodbye to these amazing folks. Dee takes so much time with you and really listens and addresses your concerns. She is fantastic with the little ones! My almost 3 year old loves going to see her! Dr. Wolens and Dr. Badgwell are awesome too. All have different styles so I recommend seeing each one to figure out which style works best for you. I have 2 children now, and this is by far the best pediatric group I have ever been a part of. (Weve moved multiple times so Ive had my share of pediatricians). They will fit you in same day if your child is sick. They always make sure to call you back same day if you leave a message with the front office. They truly care about each of their patients and are on top of their game. Dee has helped with so many of our issues from sleep problems to changing eating habits- we wouldnt have survived without her. Go see them- you will be so happy that you did.

I love Dr.Dee she is very comforting, friendly and informative. She doesnt just give wonderful medical information and advice but also great parenting advice in subject. My husband and I just love her, the staff is very nice, friendly, and responsive. Im not too pleased with Dr.Wolens so we make sure to make our appointment with Dr. Dee if she was to leave we would follow her where ever she go. She takes time to answer all our question ranging from medical to learning milestones to toys to parent personal time pretty much on anything we could think of

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Wolens and his staff. My kids have been patients there for 8 years now and I have always found them very responsive to our needs, whether it is a sick visit or a well visit. Would highly recommend them!

Love Dr. Wolens and his staff is great, including the nurses. Not crazy about PA, she was giving me unsolicited parenting advice which I didnt appreciate.
