Dont go to this guy unless you want to be misdiagnosed, taking expensive, dangerous drugs for a condition you dont have while your actual condition goes untreated. (And if you like your appointments canceled for no reason. And if you enjoy the unprofessionalism of political commentary, which is based on incorrect information to top it off.) I went to Dr. Arthur (Trey) Hillert for a routine exam and medication for a condition Ive had over a decade. He tried to prescribe me some pretty heavy drugs for a different condition. Being well-educated on the conditions, I pointed out that I didnt have the condition he was trying to prescribe drugs for. He then cited a single item on my medical history and then cited a grossly incorrect statistic trying to say that I did have it. Only after I mentioned that Id been to several specialists did he agree to give me the appropriate medication, while stating that he still didnt believe me. Even then, he tried to prescribe "designer" drugs that most insurances barely cover, then proceeded to lecture me about caring about money when it comes to health. I told him Id try the expensive stuff only after trying the generic stuff and if the generics didnt work. I was supposed to go for a follow-up visit. Instead, the staff called and left a message saying theyd canceled my appointment because they couldnt see where Id had any bloodwork done and that I should call back if I still needed it. Upon going for a follow-up for my husband, a sign was posted saying they werent taking Medicare anymore. That would have been fine except for the political commentary which took up most of the sign. Whats more, the information presented in the commentary was completely incorrect! When I asked the clerk about it, she whispered that she didnt know what was going on and seemed nervous about someone overhearing - very weird. If this doctor wanted to reveal his incompetence, he did a very good job of it. His diagnosis skills are not only bad, theyre dangerous. His note-taking skills must be just as bad or my appointment wouldnt have been canceled. And his professionalism and regular-life, fact-finding skills are equally terrible.

To whom it may concern. I would like this letter to serve as my official notice to all those concerned of the absence of competence of the medical clinic Copperfield Family Medicine: Hillert Arthur Trey MD located at Cherry Park Drive, Houston, TX 77095. I am very disappointed by the lack of professionalism by Dr. Arthur Hillert and his office staff. Each time I speak with a receptionist on the phone or come in for an appointment in person I get a rude, arrogant and poor attitude. In my personal opinion I feel that when it comes to any of the patient’s needs they are clueless. On my last visit to this clinic it was brought to my attention that I had a $30.00 bill due since April 2010 and must pay before I could see the doctor. This was brought up late and after I had previous visits with the same doctor recently. I am also including Dr. Arthur Hillert in my opinion of this clinic. It’s unfortunate that this office staff makes a routine visit into an awful experience. When this matter was brought up to his attention his approach was nonchalant, at best casual. His response to the complaint was “Oh yes this happens quite often.” He did not move to find resolution to any of the complaints that were brought to his attention. I also brought to his attention that the new prescription that he personally prescribed for acid reflux (Dexilant) was not working for me. I ask to get back on Nexium because it was simply not working like Nexium. I was taking Nexium before because my insurance covers it and it works. But when I mention I would like to change back to the old one, he again responded casually and stated “Let’s look at your results on this chart and we will see about that.” The smirk on his face told me that he did not care for what I was saying and his interest was to make a sale. Dr. Arthur Hillert and his staff’s lack professionalism and customer care are beyond repair. I have decided to not continue being a patient at this location and will seek to find services elsewhere. This was the worst practice my husband and I have ever gone with. I was a patient for two years and never had a lab or physical recommended. My husband was prescribed a statin medication for high cholesterol. Their own lab results proved he does not have high LDLs (bad cholesterol). It appears they want to prescribe high cost medications and bill insurance companies for unnecessary treatments.
