I do not think anyone want a doctor/practice put the profit ahead of patients needs. This is the exactly what I experienced with my most recently visit to this office. I had a appointment at 11:15, and it came up that I had to meet with my sons teachers at school at 10:30 am that same day. I called the doctors office and told them I might be a little late. I walked in the offices at 10:29, after I singed in the girl at the desk checked at the clock and it was 11:31. She told they just had a policy that every patients had assigned 15 minutes slot, and I can not see doctor today, that I need to make another appointment for another day. I argued with her and liked to talk to a wall. I walked out. Every patient has different needs and some may just need 5 minutes and some may need 30 minutes. I would be afraid that my healthcare provider treat me as a product on an assembling line.

Had a visit today with the Dr DeFriece and am really disappointed. I am MD, myself (educated abroad) and had high expectations for Dr. DeFriece based on online reviews. He seemed uninterested, bored. Ignored background information I was providing on my issue, was more interested in, I suppose, a training session for his new employee that he brought along. Also insisted that my back pain issues are "muscle related", have nothing to do with a "nerve" or "disc", just to avoid sending for MRI (also, it is well established from my previous medical history both in US and Norway that it is nerve and spinal disc related) and limiting things to x-ray. I assume has something to do with his concern how the insurance would look at it rather than what is best for patient. Anyway, I have an appointment for a specialist and will be also looking for another physician.

I love my Dr. DeFiece and his nurse. The problem I have is I cant never get to see him. I can only see him once a year for an annual physical exam. I attempted to make an appointment with him 3 times this year for urgent problems and all I got is we cant get you in for 2 weeks( Ill be dead by then if I wait that long for my UTI). We are refering you to the urgent care. Do you know that every time I go to the urgent Care, my copay is outrageous. What the point of having a doctor when you needed him and can not see him at all. I came from Iowa where my doctor got me in everything single time when I have a problem even she has to stay late to see me. So disappointed.

Dr. Defriece might be the best in Katy; however, I have only been able to see him once. Scheduling an appointment with his unfriendly staff and apparently antiquated scheduling system is a joke. And good luck if you need lab results or information shared with insurance companies or other parties. It has been over 4 weeks of run arounds and my life insurance application is still incomplete because the results from my annual check up have not been made available to me. Save time, energy, and headaches by finding another doctor.

Me and my wife have been in search for a caring and dedicated Dr. near our home. We gladly found Dr. DeFriece about 2 years ago and have nothing but praise for him. Before Dr. DeFriece weve had nothing but bad luck, other Drs would not listen to our needs, tried to rush their cleints in and out as quickly as possible like an assembly lines or simply treated you in a non caring way. Keep up the good work Joshua, you really are a rare breed.

DeFriece services used to be good in the past, When I first visited he offered good time and response, of late I do see as his service levels are coming down as he established his business. Specially, his office staff is offering terrible services, I left 3 voice message for an appointment so far and none of my calls were returned. I might look for alternatives as well.

He explains complex medical issues in a way that I can understand and in a way that is honest but not alarming or depressing. My boys were getting older and wanted a male doctor. So we started to see Dr. DeFriece. We have found him to be caring and attentive at every visit! I started going to him as well and my husband goes to him now too. They have the ability to do labwork on site which is very convenient!
