Dr. LaCour is without a single doubt, an AMAZING pediatrician! Of all the providers caring for my triplets, he is without question, the ONLY doctor I trust wholeheartedly. I can always count on his meeting my concerns and questions with genuine respect and appreciation, as well as with offering zero hesitation in reassuring me as a parent, in the recommendations hes made. He is thorough, has a lot of insight and knowledge to back up his thoughts, and overall has such a great relationship with my kids. Thats a quality that is far too often a rare gem these days - as many providers are lost in the "business" aspect of care - leaving continuity by the wayside. It is disheartening to learn that hes left TCH Pediatrics (albeit abruptly) & am confident that it is NOT of his own fault or negligence. I will surely follow him wherever he practices going forward. Regardless of the level of care TCH strives to provide as a whole, the continuity of care that I require lies within our pediatrician (often the foundation for care) and the rapport/trust I as a parent hold with them. For that reason alone - my kids pediatrician CANNOT be replaced!!!

My story is similar to others. Dr. LaCour has been our doctor for 15 years. I had to quickly find a doctor when we moved here from Chicago 15 years ago and I truly feel that my family won the lottery when we found Dr. LaCour. My girls were 8 months and 2 years old at the time and he was such a breath of fresh air.... caring, informative, and just a great, great doctor. We were unable to see him in the last year due to an insurance change, but have now changed insurance and when I tried to schedule an appointment, I was told he is no longer with TCH. I would love to find out where is - I hope he is well. TCH lost a really wonderful doctor.

Dr. Lacour was/is an amazing doctor. I was crushed to find out that he was no longer at TCH. I am hoping that he left to open his own practice and hopefully find him. He always took his time to let us know what was going on with my son. He never rushed and answered all and any questions that I may have had. He really did have a great bedside humor and cared about his patients. He didnt order test that were not needed or give us the run around. I truly appreciated him as a doctor and dont think that I could ever find someone as GREAT as he was.

I loved Dr. Lacour. My kids also have seen him since they were born except for this past year because my husband had lost his job due to medical reasons and my children no longer had private medical insurance and the practice didnt accept medicaid so we had to leave but now that we are finally getting back on our feet I called to hopefully get my children back in and they said he was no longer there. I was crushed. The doctors my kids have been seeing are so vague and dont seem to care. I truly hope Dr. Lacour stays within the area.

Very professional, smart, understanding and informative. Dr Douglas listen to my concerns and spent time with my daughter explaining her condition and making both of us feel comfortable with any anxieties we may have had. We are not from Houston and we have been to the same pediatrician with all my kids and my son is 26. So this was scary for both of us but I am so very happy now.

I am really stressed out about LaCour leaving! Its so hard to find a good pediatrician and now I dont know where to go. Honestly, I dont care for TCP. I always have to wait forever for them to see us, but I was willing to go because of LaCour. I keep searching for him to see where he ended up going, but havent found any information. If anyone finds out, PLEASE post it on here!

Dr.LaCour has been my sons pediatrician since he was 15 months old .He is the best pediatrician .If you have a medical problem and not sure what it could be , he tries everything to figure it out .We just love him and would never change pediatrician. My son wont see anyone else and hes almost seventeen now .The Best !!

Dr. LaCour is the best!!! He is no longer with Texas Pediatrics - he is now with the 1960 Family Practice team!! I was so excited that we got to follow him to his new location!! You cannot beat quality, personable care!! He is the ONLY pediatrician that my daughter has ever felt comfortable with!!
