Ive happily been seeing Dr. Summers for over 8 years. The only compliant Ive ever had were the wait times, but at my most recent appointment earlier this week, there was hardly any wait at all. Im so glad that theyve addressed this! The office staff is amazing from reception to the nurses. Making appointments is a breeze, even when it is an emergency situation! Libby, one of the nurses, always makes me feel welcome and comfortable and Ive never seen her in anything less than an awesome mood. Dr. Summers is always more than willing to answer any questions I have and really takes the time to explain things completely and in an easy to understand way; if she uses medical terms, she is always quick to clarify their meaning. I completely trust her opinion and appreciate that she seems to keep up with latest trends so she always has a well researched and knowledgeable response to anything I ask about.

Had the worst experience just trying to make an appointment with her! I was recommended to her by Dr. Thompsons office because she had retired. I had already gone to UTMB for only one visit just to confirm that I was pregnant and before they would even make an appointment for me, I had to request the medical records from UTMB. They would not request them… I had to do it! After going back-and-forth with both offices they finally received my medical records. The next day the receptionist called me and said that Dr. Summers decided she will not see me because she feels that I need to see a high-risk doctor! I had gestational diabetes… Thats it! No history of miscarriages or high risk pregnancies! HUGE WASTE OF TIME!

Its rare this day and age to have a Physician that will REALLY take time with you. With Dr. Kathy, you are not just another patient number. Sincere and knowledgeable is how I can describe Dr. Kathy L. Summers. My confidence in her has sustain some 20+ years. Her down to Earth, not a "holier than thou" personality and approach will get one through any procedure or health challenge. I thank God each time I come away from an exam with a clean bill of health. I also thank Him that I have Dr. Summers on my side incase something is amiss. p.s. Lets not forget. Beautiful bedside manners.

She gave my wife a measles vaccine the second my son was born knowing that my wife going to breastfeed. Did not even ask just told her Im giving this to you. If I only knew now what I did not know then. Shame on you Dr. Summers. That crap could have waited until my wife was done breastfeeding. Anyone who thinks there our no potential side effects of vaccines to breastfeeding moms has been living under a rock.

I have been a patient of Dr. Summers for three years. She is one of the best doctors I have ever meet. She delivered my second child and I wish she could have been my doctor when I was pregnant with my first child. She and the staff is very friendly, courteous, and informative. Dr. Summers and her staff have made me feel very comfortable in very uncomfortable situations and I recommend her to anyone.

I just had the WORST experience with the staff at this office. The receptionist is very rude. The manager backed her receptionist up. Its very clear they are not at all concerned in helping others. It felt as if though their only concern is being right. Service is key not just knowing how to pick up a phone a say the Dr.s name.

Had the worst experience making an appointment, the receptionist is very rude... Questioning me, as if I am being interrogated made me feel uncomfortable and made me tear up. Horrible experience all I am trying to do is make an appointment to be seen by a DR.!
