EDIT 1: Only after seeing this review, 6-7 months later, did the manager of the office contact me to tell me that they had sent a check for the insurance overage back in September but we must not have gotten it, saying that we didnt get it because we moved (which was not until October and we had forwarded the address). The issue is allegedly resolved and they are supposed to be sending a check in the mail. She said it should be here in a few days. I will not hold my breath. On a final note. She had the gall to ask me if, since the money issue was resolved, I could REMOVE my negative Google review. You will notice only a small part of my complaint was the money. Im just shocked that they would even ask me to remove the review. I told her I would edit it to add that they did resolve the money issue but I would not remove it. So here is that edit. _______________________________________________________________________ Do NOT go here! It is a scam. I had a severe toothache back in August and I am new to the area so I was trying to find a dentist fast. I go, they take multiple X-rays (more than normal I felt). Dentist gets in there and tells me the cause of the problem is a broken filling, no problem, we will drill it out and put a new one in. They carry on with the general cleaning and by the time she is finished I have 4 cavities and need 4-6 crowns. This should have been my first sign. She said that she couldnt repair the broken filling without crowning the tooth right beside it (second sign). I was flustered and in pain so I agreed. What a terrible experience. The temporary crown was so uncomfortable and painful that I had to go back after my appointment a couple of times to get it filed down. They kept acting like I was such an inconvenience to them. During the appointment I kept saying that I could still feel it and that it was bothering me but she said it was because I was hyper aware of it. I go for three weeks with this thing bothering me and then go in for the permanent. Same problems. Finally she got it filed down to where it felt mostly comfortable. $750 later, with an estimate of over $1500 worth of work to max out my insurance for the year, they send me on my way. A couple of months after the appointment I got my insurance statement and realized they had over charged me and I had paid for things the insurance covered and they had double billed my insurance for some things. I called and tried to figure out what the deal was and they blew me off and told me that it would be another couple of weeks before they heard back from the insurance and if I overpaid they would reimburse me then. Its been 5 months now. Now, months later it is hurting again and Im going to have to find a new dentist to fix it. DO. NOT. GO. HERE.

Manager of this location(Erica, not sure whether she is the real manager or called herself as manager who was at the front desk) is very rude and not honer her words. Before treatment they give always incorrect quote without checking with insurance company properly. After the treatment you get surprise bills and if you ask them why, they always say that "You signed in the document that whatever insurance ask you agreed to pay after the treatment and they are not responsible for the quote". It looks their job is only getting money from us and not communicating with insurance company properly and provide the correct estimate. Based on the estimate, if it is affordable for us then we proceed for the treatment and we trust their words on estimates. But couple of months later getting surprise bill is unfair. Dr. Manjusha is really nice and very honest. Because of the this doctor our family visit here. Our 2.5 yr old son had some stains in his teeth, we took him to this dentist while we had our appointment on October 2016, they said since he is below 3 yrs they wont charge anything for the visit, and even he did not allow the doctor to examine so they said they are not charging anything for him. But 3 months later(Dec 2016) when i went today for my appointment, Erica was insisting me to pay for my sont exam which they didnt do on October 2016 otherwise she said that she will send it for collection. And she is not at all listening to us, they do not have any notes on their system about the conversation. She always argues and focus on getting money from us as like we are getting free treatment from them. For the Dr.Manjusha, I will give 5 star rating. Earlier staffs were kind even though they do mistakes on the estimate they apologies and they took care of fixing it. But this new Manger called Erica, she is very rude, Management should educate her how to talk with patients otherwise they may loose existing patients. I started looking for alternate Dentist, once i find another Dr nearby I will not visit Ideal Smile at Irving anymore and wont recommend to any of my friends and family. I never wrote a bad review on anybody and i never did. This is my first review because i had bad experience with them.

I came to Ideal Dental for crown and filling. I came here because they accepted my insurance. I rarely write reviews these days, but I felt compelled to review this place after my experience. I would not recommend coming here. I have the crown put on and after the work is done I told the dr that I dont feel comfortable and I feel pain. He told me that my gum need to get adjust to the crown. I went home that night with a horrible pain. I have to take Tylenol and Nyquil to help my pain.I went back to see the dr the next day. He took an Xray and told me that the crown is a little too high. He flat it down a little. After he is done i told him that i still feel pain. He then again took an xray and told me that my tooth got fractured! He suggested me to have that tooth removed and either do a bridge or an implant. I hold off on his suggestion and went to see another dentist office for 2nd opinion on the same day.I hold off on having my tooth remove. Went there and they took an xray and told me that my tooth was not fractured. All i need was to have the root canal done. He also tell me that the dentist left excessive amount of cement on the both side of the crown. Went ahead and got that done at the 2nd dentist office. They refunded my money for the crown. I called to the office and asked to speak to someone beside the office manager. Office manager(Mellisa Cantu) told me that they do not have anyone above her that I can speak to but guess what I got a phone called from the regional manager the next day! Please please do not go here if you dont want to waste your time and money. And please dont fell for the hype of the reviews from what they called "Google reviews" like me because they paid for these reviews($50 credit toward your treatment). The doctor that do the crown and filling for me is Dr. Tyler Myser.
