This was by far the worst experience at a doctors office. First, I come in find a man angry in the waiting room that he had been out there over an hour (this was my first sign!). I came in on a Tuesday, the doctor tells me I have allergies but that it would likely get worse and turn into an upper respiratory infection and to call her if that happened and she would prescribe medication. So I call on a Thursday sick as a dog, wait .... wait ... wait ... until Friday afternoon and give them a call back (something that I was already nervous about because they warn you when leaving a message if you call multiple times it will only cause a delay - um, second warning!) only to be told I would be called back later. I get a call close to 3pm letting me know that my doctor doesnt work on Fridays and I would have to wait until Monday. That is 3 days from now and means I have to miss another day of work. Ultimately they tell me I have to be seen by another doctor and pay another $110.00 because my doctor wrote something completely different that what she told me. I spent $205.00 to have my daughter and I seen to be told we have allergies when we really have upper respiratory infections. What a waste of money and time. Im currently in the process of escalating this issue. That being said, I will NEVER come back to TienaHealth. My recommendation, there are so many other places that care about you as a person, your needs and your health; these people do not and that is obvious.

Unpleasant visit, yet. I called first thing in the morning to set an appointment for a depo-shot. (Birthcontrol) The receptionist was very polite and I clearly stated it was my first time and my menstrual cycle had begun. I also said I didnt live close. There wouldnt be a problem according to her. Once there Im asked for a urine test. I state again, "Im on my menstrual cycle." I was tested for pregnancy without my knowledge. Once in the office, the nurse has me waiting. There was literally no patients, and she can be heard talking to someone else. Unrelated work business. Nurse walks back in and asks if its my first time. I say yes. She leaves and comes in saying I need two pregnancy tests and to come back in two weeks. Not even told the results of the pregnancy test. I tell her Im not pregnant, I told the girl in the front its my first time, and Im not coming back. I walk out and I APOLOGIZED for my rant but she did NOT. Never did. I left and came back to figure out how there were going to charge me. Proof of lack of communication, the receptionist did not know I hadnt even seen the doctor, which I was going to be charged for, and that I didnt get my pregnancy results. I was highly offended with there reluctance for pregnancy tests after Id said it was not possible. The whole reason I wanted this was for gain weight. I got my NEGATIVE pregnancy results, waste of gas money, time, bill for tollway use and a sour taste.

Been a patient of Tiena Health for over 15 years, from their practice over off MacArthur to the practice now located on Sierra Drive. My primary care physician is Dr. Patrick Scott Freeman and I cannot begin to tell you how much he has done for me. I am tremendously grateful to have received the health care from Dr. Freeman, and also from his assistant Angela. Together, this team has taken care of me through the colds, flu, sinus, depression, heart disease, high blood pressure, pain management, a bad back and numerous other health needs for both my wife and me. During these 15 years, Ive seen other providers when Dr. Freeman was not available, and they also have provided good, solid health care. There are times when Ive had to wait, and times when there has been no wait time. The main point is, Dr. Freeman and Angela have been with me through many changes in my health and have always provided excellent care and advice, plus have been truly caring about my outcomes. I would not consider going anywhere else than Tiena Health because of the wonderful care Ive gotten from each and every person there. For those of you who have written bad reviews, perhaps you just didnt have the patience or vision to see through the little things to the big thing - the excellent care provided by every person at Tiena Health, and most especially Dr. Freeman and Angela. I feel very blessed to have found them.

Worse experience ever! I visited Dr. Slater in Feb. 2012 & mentioned I was having allergy issues. I expected a prescription but instead he sent me for the allergy testing done in the Tiena office - how convenient. The total for a years worth of allergy antigen was $10,000, of which I would pay $900. I said no thanks, Ill pass but then I find out a couple of weeks later that I was charged for the antigen and called to have it removed. No problem, they said. Then, another month later I received a bill for $900 for the antigen - they had charged me & my insurance anyway! I called their corporate office & asked to have the charge removed & was told they had to wait 10 days to hear from the doctors office to get confirmation. Seriously - 10 days? Its the same office! Then, I called back to the main doctors office to get a manager on the phone. After some runaround and them putting me off, I finally talked to a manager who said she would get it straightened out and would call me that afternoon to confirm the charge had been removed. Its been several days and I still havent received a call back. Absolutely poor customer service & a fraudulent charge! Do not visit this office & if you do, refuse the allergy testing - its a total scam!!!

The only good thing about this place is Dr. Slater and his nurse, but even that is not enough for me to go to them again. I have been giving this place a chance for 4 years now because they were the first doctors I went to when I moved to Texas. Every time there has been HUGE errors made. Weather its regarding my medical records or my payment information. I have tried 2 other doctors, other than Dr. Slater, due to scheduling conflicts, and both experiences were horrible. I cannot stress enough, do your research, there are many other health centers that are a million times more organized than this one. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. ESPECIALLY if money is important to you. Their billing process is always incorrect, they never follow through with the things they say they are going to do to give you back what you have overpaid.

I had an 8:20 AM Appointment today. I filled all the paperwork in advance to avoid delays as I had to be at work after this appointment. When making the appointment, they told me that I am the first patient and it should take only 30 minutes. I had to wait for 70 minutes before my name was called. I asked them that my appointment was at 8:20AM so why there is so much delay. They told me that I am the next patient in queue. Not sure why I was the next patient when I was the first one in the appointment schedule. Many patients who came later were taken care of before me. I have not seen this in other facilities and I am not sure why this facility would be an exception. I was fasting and had a full day ahead of me. It took a total of 2 hours in my case out of which 1 hour and 30 minutes was just wait time. So, be prepared.
