Scam. Scam. Scam. This place is TERRIBLE! The OD was nice and the receptionist/technician staff were nice, but when I went to actually pick my glasses, the optical tech (only guy) was VERY rude and VERY cocky. He acted like I was an idiot and scoffed every time I asked a question about the very confusing pricing. He seemed like he really didnt know what he was doing at all. Popped the lens out of my current glasses and tapped it all over the counter scratching it up so he could tell me it was made of "polycarbonate blah blah blah.". Like I care?! Not to mention I couldnt afford a single pair of glasses in the building! They wanted almost $750 for one pair of glasses and the progressive lenses I was told I "needed". I even asked if I could use my old frames and just get lenses and the tech was very snotty about it. I called back a couple days later to get some more information that was lacking on the prescription they gave me as I was trying to get cheaper glasses elsewhere and I got the same cocky tech on the phone who was again a complete ass and very rude so I just hung up on him. I ended up having to go for another exam with a different physician (MD this time) and was told I did not in fact need the very expensive progressive lenses I was told I needed. Dont waste your time or money! I have been a Ginter customer for years and it is no longer what it used to be. I will NEVER be back.

Horrible service. It took 3 weeks to receive my glasses. The store never called me to notify me when they were ready nor give me an e.t.a. But when I did receive them, they were polarized. Honestly who would want polarized glasses to wear all the time. I sent them back so they can get fixed. I still havent received them. I have call numerous of times and left messages but no response. No one ever answers in the optical department. It is almost a month later an they still havent come in. They may have many options in eyewear. But the service is horrible. February 26th Never will recommend this store to anyone! I have received two pair of glasses that were done incorrect. Both times they have failed to fix them to be clear lenses. They keep wanting to make my glasses into sun glasses. I will receive my glasses at the two month mark. I have been so disappointed with their service! Go somewhere else if you can!

Ginter is just eh in my book. They carry some great brands (including Tag Heuer) but also have tons of other brands that detract from the image they try to project. The space is also just flat out to small. It may have been I just went at busy times they two times ive been there but it was an unpleasant experience both times as there were just too many people and not enough space. Service also left a lot to be desired. Took a good few minutes after entering to even be acknowledged and even longer before someone actually assisted me. They sales staff also tried to talk me into a pair that didnt quite fit right. I know its hard to find frames with a narrow face but dont try to push a pair im going to regret. Overall, my impression was just eh. Id recommend Plains Optical for Ginter in a heartbeat if youre looking at higher price point frames but Ginter is still above average.

My children and I have used Ginter eyecare center for several years, and I will keep going back. The business is very clean and modern, and carries a great selection of frames and other products. Customer service personnel are top notch and very friendly! Ginter is far from the cheapest game in town, but the service and quality that they provide is worth it. I have purchased cheaper products, only to have them break too soon, or have lenses ground improperly. Ginter gets it right the first time. Other than the higher price, the only negative is that they do not offer extended hours of operation. They are not open in the evenings or on weekends, and close early on Fridays.

My experience at Ginter Eyecare Center was fantastic. I went to Ginter on a whim after my insurance changed, and I cannot find a decent reason why I have not gone there before now. Dr. Barclay is a fantastic doctor that takes the time to get to know his patients and their needs. Unlike places I have been to in the past, the Ginter staff will take the time to work with their patients and ask the important questions. They have a great selection of eyeglasses and their price point is very reasonable. I will never visit another eye care center as long as I live in Lubbock.

I dont know how they got "Best of the West" award. I liked Dr. Douglas but their customer service isnt what it should be. I left 2 messages and never got a call back. I asked for a specific prescription and didnt get it. And they wouldnt fax it, I had to drive all the way across town to pick up the same one I already had. I left a message with a manager...waiting to see if they return my call. Wont be back! Update: Office manager never called back...I guess they dont care!

I came in 3 days before going on vacation and I really needed prescription sunglasses to enjoy the beach. The technician, Larry heard about my upcoming trip and told me that he would rush my new sunglasses. I was expecting my glasses by Thursday but Larry called me the next day and said that they were ready! I want to say thank you to Larry and Carol for being so considerate and helping me out. I would recommend Ginter Eyecare Center to anyone!

My experience at Ginter was absolutely the best. The most welcoming doctors office I have been to in awhile. The people who work there are so friendly you can tell they enjoy doing what they do very caring and so knowledgable. The best part was when my daughter said mom I like this place can we come back. Dr. Cruth is very good. We love our glasses and contacts. I will be recommending this place to all my friends and family.

This place is a complete side show!! Staff is extremely unprofessional. Aside from their office staff using patient information to contact me for "personal" matters, they claim to book your appointment and when you show up, they tell you it was scheduled the month before...I called last week!! Dont waste your time, they will definitely try.

The optometrist i usually see is phenomenal, but the staff and especially the "managers" are extremely rude and uneducated. Two years in a row I have been treated poorly by this company. I also found out they overkill insurance 2-3 times the amount of service. I highly recommend spending your hard earned money anywhere else.

Been two weeks, still waiting on my glasses, just regular glasses, What gives. 2 star slowness. Got the glasses 18 days later, and they are terrible. Wrong prescription. And they look like goggles, Im going in for a refund on Monday, this is ridiculus, goto Visionmart and their doctors. They dont screw you.

Great place. Fast. Efficient. All the staff was great and informative. Dont forget to get your glasses with larry. I am new to glasses and he made my experience as quick and easy as possible. He can also customize glasses to be exactly what you want.
