If I could give no stars, I would. I have been to Country Club Pet Hospital two times. It is very conveniently located for me, and I have not found a new vet since I moved to Mansfield so I gave Country Club Pet Hospital a try. I was more or less satisfied with my first visit, in which I saw Dr. Kendrick because my cat completely ripped off one of his claws. I feel like he was knowledgeable, and his approach was conservative (which I prefer) and he told me that the healing had already begun and to just watch it. He also gave me unsolicited advice on feeding, and was somewhat pushy about it. I brushed it off as his being passionate about animal health and not possessing the best/most diplomatic people skills, but my overall experience still left me a bit unsettled. Nothing to bother writing a review over on its own. My second visit was for 1 year vaccinations for one of my kittens, and a vaccination for my puppy. While I am fully vaccinating my puppy on a timetable that matches the standard recommendations for such, I was verbally assaulted at length by Vet Tech Jennifer. She insulted me, my puppys extremely knowledgeable and involved breeder, because I did not want the standard combined vaccination products they push. PLEASE NOTE: MY DOG WILL BE FULLY VACCINATED - I was beat up over the way in which I wanted this accomplished. She accused me of endangering my dog (Completely ridiculous. Seriously. This pampered and protected dog has it better than most peoples kids) and demonstrated no respect for me, along with no knowledge or willingness to learn about giant breeds. After that drama (I didnt mention that this was all happening with my 9 year old daughter in the room as well...seriously, who yells at someone and accuses them of endangering a puppy in front of a child?) the other Vet (Dr. Neece) came in and continued attempting to push combo vaccinations along with and injectable heartworm/tick/flea combo drug that I was also uninterested in (they had to scrounge to come up with an edible heartworm preventative, and we had already applied Frontline Plus to him a week prior). To top it off, she dismissed an OBVIOUS staph infection as perhaps being healing scabs/bumps leftover from being bitten by littermates (seriously...even though I pointed out that the rash with the raised, pus-filled bumps did not appear until over a week after we got him home, and the fact that my puppy came from an amazing breeder who takes amazing care of all of her dogs and operates with COMPLETE transparency and amazing amounts of support for the life of the dog) and offered absolutely nothing other than that it would be harmless to try washing him with an antibacterial shampoo (which I had already been doing, it wasnt working). This was far and away the worst vet visit I have ever had in my life. I drove over an hour to get back to our old vet for our puppys next vaccination appointment (during which he prescribed antibiotics for the staph infection we had been unsuccessfully attempting to treat at home for 6 weeks at that point)...and it was completely worth it. To top everything off, Country Club was more expensive than my old vet, and we got an additional prescription and a bag of greenies pill pockets in addition to the exact same vaccine that we got at Country Club. Expensive, disrespectful, ignorant, and they push a single line of combo drugs/vaccines. I will never be back, regardless of how conveniently located they are.

I had scheduled an appointment two days prior for my ferret, Zii, for 11 AM this Monday morning (11/5/12) . Upon walking in, I told the (very nice) receptionist my name, and she immediately remembered me, it felt good to be remembered! I had to fill out paperwork that involved giving my social security # and DL # to them, I wasnt exactly sure why they needed my social, but thats besides the point. I dont suspect them of being identity thieves, simply because of their professionalism. After filling out my paperwork, I gave it to the receptionist and was immediately given a room. Another lady came into the room after about 5 minutes of waiting alone, checked my ferret (who had cysts on his body and inflamed lymph-nodes), and told me it could be either Lymphosycoma, or Insulinoma, she said "Im not the doctor though so I dont know for sure." She handed me a packet of papers listing a variety of diseases ferrets are susceptible to, told me that the doctor/vet will come in soon, and left the room. I waited while my ferret ran around the room and read the packets for about 8 or so minutes. The vet came in and said "Were going to give your ferret a quick examination and well be right back." She took my ferret out of the room and left for about 5 minutes. She returned and gave me a very detailed explanation of whats most likely wrong with my ferret. I would say my biggest area of satisfaction was that they made the medication my ferret needed affordable! My ferret needed a chemotheraputic medication, but the vet told me "I understand youre on a budget, what happens with these medications is some people will bring them back after their animals died. If we have any in stock, we can give it to you with the charge of just the labeling fee, $5." I was VERY impressed. The exam plus the label cost a mere $50 for my ferret to have a chance for a healthier longer life! I appreciate them so much. I definitely recommend going to this animal hospital, if youre nice and understanding, you have a very high chance of leaving the building 100% satisfied with the service.

The last time we visited the Country Club Pet Hospital was February 2015. It is now September 2015. So, 7 months since our last visit. At that time our dog was all up to date on shots, ect. My dog has Addisons disease. Every month she has to be give a shot of Percorten-V, or else she will begin to go into adrenal shock. When I called Country Club Pet Hospital on September 23rd to reorder my dogs Percorten-V, I was told I would have to bring her back in for a exam and up-to-date shots. I asked if they could order the medicine because she was beginning to go into adrenal shock, then come in for a visit. I was told no. And I am not exaggerating on her going into adrenal shock...You can always tell when its coming on. The dogs breath gets bad, they stop eating, the get very lethargic and it just goes down hill from there. If its not caught in time they can die, or you are going to have a VERY expensive hospital bill getting them back to normal. Im am completely okay with bringing my dog in for an exam/shots but if you are NOT going to write a prescription for a medicine my dog NEEDS to survive after visiting 7-MONTHS AGO...You will not be getting my business. Animal Emergency Hospital of Mansfield is expensive for just check-ups but they have always been so good/kind with my dogs Addisons disease. Ill be continuing to work with them for my dogs Addisons disease.

I have taken my dog to Dr. Beckendorf for years and I have nothing but positive things to say! When I got my dog, he was a stray. He had a severe case of hookworms and you could see his whole rib cage. Dr. Beckendorf helped him recover, but also helped me understand what I needed to do in order to get Hank healthy and make him comfortable in a new home. I appreciate how Dr. Beckendorf explains what is going on with Hank in terms that I can understand, and she really cares about educating me about his health. For instance, I did not know that heartworm is given to dogs through mosquito bites, which made me realize just how important heartworm prevention is, especially in Texas! I can just tell that she, as well as the other staff members, really care about the animals and want them to be well taken care of in their clinic, as well as at home. I also used to take my chinchilla, Sparky, to Dr. Beckendorf before we had to find him a new home. Dr. Beckendorf helped us get in contact with an amazing chinchilla rescue, which quickly found Sparky a wonderful new home! Just another example of how the staff at Country Club Pet Hospital really care about the animals, and not just the money, like so many other vets do.
