The employees at Parkway Animal Hospital seem to care about the general well being of my cat and dogs. That really speaks volumes to me, because I love my pets like they are my children and I expect that same love to come from people working at a vets office. Ive tried a less expensive place, but they didnt seem to be as engaged in my pets comfort, which bothers me. Id much rather pay a little more for beyond excellent service and put my mind and my babies minds at ease when coming in for check ups, shots, etc. I had my German Shepherd, Annie spayed here and they sent her home with some medicine to help with pain. She healed very quickly and there was no bleeding. My other German Shepherd, Heidi was spayed in Arlington at the place she was adopted from. She was in alot of pain, was given no medicine, took so much longer to heal and she was bleeding all over the place from her vulva/vagina. I actually had to take her back to see if there was something wrong because she was bleeding for over a week. Never again will I go anywhere else. Thank you Dr. Nelson and staff for making my experiences here very pleasant. Im sure my babies would thank you too.

The staff is great and willing to help anyway that they can. They have great prices and Dr. Nelson really took the time to explain everything to me and make sure that I understood what was going on with my dog. He also made sure to get to know my animal. There were a couple of growths I was worried about but Dr. Nelson said that they are harmless, if I wanted them to removed he could do that but leaving them would not hurt my dog at all. I appreciate so much that he was not just trying to get as much money from my visit, he just wanted to help my dog. The only down side was that the office is a bit dated and smells like cat pee. There is also a very small waiting area and it might not be optimal if there is more than one animal waiting. All in all I loved the staff and doctor and will definitely be returning.

I went to this vet with an emergency with my dog. The hours say 7 am and they open at 7 am. I sit in the waiting room with my sick dog right when they open and after they help the first person, and it is obvious I have a problem, and then they proceed to tell me the doctor doesnt get there until 10. This is not a real vet until 10 am. I had to leave with my sick dog and find somewhere else. Tell the doctor to wake up and go to work when the clinic is open. Typical.

I love taking my cats here! Everyone is so nice and understanding and made me feel very at ease with bringing my pets there! The vet even gave me a hug when she told me some bad news about my cat and helped me choose the best options for her. I would definitely recommend anyone to bring their pets here!

Ive been taking my pets to Dr. Nelson since 1998. Great Vet! Super nice! Staff are wonderful people! Ive had great experiences! Dr. Nelson is always attentive and it doesnt bother him when I ask a bunch of questions or call after hours. Great vet!
