Front desk and nurse were great...the Dr however, had no intentions on listening to me are assisting me with my back pain. I have been practicing physical therapy for 24 years and have dealt with countless of back issues with patients, all of which I listen and take into account prior to planning a treatment session. With that bring said, I have done everthing I know I can do to this point without being on prescription medications including, accupunture, deep tissue massage, kinesiotaping, essential oils, ibuprofen, Tylenol, MRI, heat /ice, electrical stimulation, hydrotherapy, tempurpedic mattress, Airrosti, exercise, stretching. ..all of which have helped at certain times, depending on my degree of pain. But I have had 2 instances over the last 15 years where I actually went to the Dr and sought a prescription for medication. I currently dont even have a Dr because I dont run to the Dr for every single illness. In fact , I didnt even mention to the Dr that I had been bitten by a snake the day before, and I didnt run to the ER, because I analyzed the situation, and felt it was not needed. But my back pain was at its all time high, and the appointment I had with a physician was canceled on July 3rd, which landed me with no where else to go but to the ER.All I wanted was some relief. But what I got was feeling like I was a drug seeking "nobody" trying to get my fix. Mind you, all I asked for was for something to get me through the week (because we are leaving to go out of town) until I could get an appointment when I got back. But that wasnt what he was willing to do. He told me to continue with my ibuprofen and Tylenol and I was lucky to get a script for some steroids to get the inflammation down (because that was my suggestion ). He told me that they dont triplicate pain prescriptions there (which is not at all what I was suggesting). I didnt think a steroid and muscle relaxer would be out of the question, but for him it almost was. I got a steroid and nothing else. He must of assumed that I had pain meds at home because he told me to go home and keep taking my other prescription drugs, which I had none (but assumed I did and was drug seeking for more). From one professional to another, shame on you for not listening or giving your patient the benefit of a doubt. I was very honest with my history and what I have been diagnosed with in the past, but that didnt interest him. He said chronic back pain is not his "cup of tea" and so "what do I want for him?" The pain I was having was an acute flare up, and I didnt know where else to go since my Dr couldnt make it to the office that day. Needless to say, I will no longer turn to Christus Santa Rosa ER Creekside, in a time of need. The last 2 times my family has needed medical attention, I have taken my son and husband there. But not again. Especially since the Dr told me they dont have the authority to prescribe pain meds. Pretty scary to go to an ER,for example, with a broken bone, and they cant send you home with anything to relieve your pain. Never have heard of that in an ER setting. They "claim" to be able to do "everything " that an ER attached to a hospital foes, but with a much less wait. Thats is obviously false BEWARE!

DO NOT VISIT THIS E.R. We were on our way back from San Antonio, my friend was having a seizure so I pulled in to the closest E.R. which was this one. She usually has seizures and doesnt have to go to the hospital but this time it was different. I pulled up to the ER the front and asked the front desk for a wheelchair..the lady acted like I was interrupting her day. When I got back to the room the doctor did not have a name tag on and he was kind of rude. He looked "dirty" and unprofessional. The nurses were nice but after being stuck 3 times they barely found a vein. The doctor kept trying to tell her that she was having psychological problems because she wasnt able to speak (after her seizures.) She askes to write it down but he refused to listen to her issues.. we wrote the information down for him and he didnt even read it..he just to kept it up and he was going to send her to the main hospital downtown. He was very rude and not understanding at all or sympathetic. Bottom line we will never go back here. It is like they just got their degrees and we were their first patients. If they were having a bad day they should never take it out on the patients. Ever.

Not a welcoming feeling at all. Not from the front reception to check-in, not the nurse for vitals, not the doc himself either. Not one time did any one staff member smile, introduce themselves, engage with my 4 or 8 year old in any question or comment (they were the ones being seen for sore throat & cough). Just like what are u here for, couple other standard questions, & like it was a joke to be there. They were very dismissive & I didnt see one other patient while there. So they werent busy. Our visit was treated like a burden essentially. Never going back... period. Sticking with Resolute as we always have. Just today Med Post & Resolute were busy & here @ Christus wasnt (imagine that, lol) so we came here. Sorry to ruin ur slow day! Blah to this place!!!!

Went in because my 18 year old got cut very badly by barbed wire fencing but our insurance wasnt going to kick in for 3 days; we had the rudest desk nurse I have met. She refused to give me any information about financial assistance, refused to let me be the responsible party since my daughter is a full time college student, and when I told my daughter that I couldnt let her be strapped with a $5,000 bill, the nurse laughed and said "we are an emergency room and that is how we bill". I then asked her how long a tetanus shot was good for and she said " I have no idea" - she let my daughter walk back out that door without ever seeing the severity of her cuts. Used to have good staff there-the last two times I have been there with my children, they were rude!

DO NOT VISIT THIS ER. I had family come into town and their infant daughter was running really high temperature and was very irritable and having issues breathing. They staff were rude and even the ER doctor was horrible..possibly without sleep or just plain drunk. We couldnt tell. We were told that the baby probably has an upper - respitory infection and was sent home with no antibiotics or anything. Waste of time and money!! When they got home today, 2 days later, they took her to the regular doctor since she was still running high fever, She tested positive for strep. I am ashamed and embarrassed that they feel that all of NB services run like this.

I recently became very ill after a trip. I scheduled my visit online (highly recommend), and was able to rest at home until my appointment time. I checked in, and was in a private room within 5 minutes. They had a shift change, which worried me, because I was in pain. However, they were efficient and did all my lab work right away, then had a sonogram. I was out of there within 2 hours. The entire staff was friendly, and helpful. Dr. Ogden was AWESOME - he was patient, took time to explain what was going on, and what I needed to do to get better. Positive experience.
