My kitten ironically erased my whole long review so i will make this one shorter and less detailed.. I adopted a feral kitten 2 months ago, and she had fleas. Their best employee (in my opinion) is this red haired nurse that works the front desk (i really need to find out her name).. but she was super nice and sold me 2 nitenpyram capstar pills (only $8) that killed all the fleas on both of my cats within a few hours. I used these pills at my doggy daycare, they work great. Anyway, 4 days ago my kitten started looking sick. Her eyelid was exposed so i called and they set me up with an appointment for the next day. I brought her in and since i just changed her food and she wasnt showing too many signs of illness they just checked her eyes for scratches and sent me on my way. That visit with only the exam was $67. The next day (yesterday) Luka got progressively worse and she threw up all day. She couldnt keep food down and she was having really bad diarrhea. I emailed the clinic late that night and told them about her health and said i would like to bring her back for testing but i didnt want to pay the re-exam fee since i just had her there. I got an email back at 8am saying that wasnt a problem and they would re-check her out. I was satisfied at that point (since im only 18 and dont make a ton of money to be spending on medical expenses). So i brought her back today and they found out she had Roundworm, which wasnt a surprise to me because white and bloody puss was coming out of her butt by now. They in total did 2 fecal tests, 1 blood test for lukemia/aids and they gave her fluids. They told me they wanted to keep her for a few hours and i reluctantly went home worried about her. When i came to pick her up i was shocked that they didnt charge me for 1.the second exam, 2. the second fecal test and 3. keeping here there to monitor. The bill was $160 this time, 3 medicines included, plus they gave me a free can of bland food to help her stomach and another free dose of the roundworm medicine to give her in the morning. They took care of my little Luka very well and im very thankful she is feeling better now. There was a little bit of a wait between testings but they are only so busy because they are good at what they do there. I will be taking her back for everything except vaccines (we go to Outreach clinic in dallas, its very cheap). Very satisfied with the service, the nice red haired one always helps me to my car afterward :)

Im writing this review for our fur-baby Sam. He is not our first and this isnt the first Vet weve used. This is however the first place weve used where Sam gets so excited when we pull up that we cant get out of the vehicle fast enough. He starts vocalizing and pushing to get out and up to the door. He rushes in the door and jumps up at the counter to tell everyone hello. He greets everyone as if they are long lost friends and they treat him the same way. Even after he had surgery that was taking forever to heal, he never complained when they had to take care of him. They would call to check on him and if I stopped in to pick up meds or dressing they would ask why he didnt come with me. They really do care about their patients and the human parents of those patients. As long as possible we will continue to use the doctors at Davis Blvd Animal Clinic. The doctors and the staff make this a great clinic for routine exams, emergencies or surgeries. They are caring and calming for both us and our fun-babies.

I am VERY disappointed in this office. I have been a loyal customer for 7 years!! I took my dog in for a simple diagnostic and was charged an outrageous amount that i dont dare say. They are very OVERPRICED here so WATCH OUT for this! I called other offices in the 3-5 mile proximity to compare prices and as I suspected they were a lot more reasonable for the same thing that was done here at this office. When I called to ask nicely if they could match what was quoted somewhere else the office manager was RUDE and declined my request. Apparently your long term business here means nothing to them. DO NOT bring your business here. Do your homework and look for somewhere else where they wont over bill you. They have lost my business but apparently this is the class of establishment where that is what least matters to them.

Greatest possible experience considering our situation. We had to take our dog to the vet after a spay from the low cost clinic near alliance airport. She developed a fever, and began acting VERY lethargic. From the moment we walked in the staff took care of us and our dog. She ended up needing an emergency surgery to remove an orange sized infected mass from her vaginal stump. The infection had spread throughout her abdomen. We knew she was in bad shape, but had no idea it would get that bad. She was definitely on the brink of death, and they brought her back. We could not have possibly asked for better care or compassion from the doctors and staff. Aside from the final cost (which was very reasonable considering all the work done) we would not hesitate to return for any reason just for the superb service.

Dr Peek is amazing! But today I saw a new guy named Dr Griggs. My dog had a hot spot on her neck. He says we are going to go shave her and clean her up. Proceed to check out...142 bucks! I was amazed the cost was so high. If you are going to charge and extra $40 to do something you should tell the person first. I told the lady checking me out that seemed really high. I was a little frustrated but never raised my voice with her or said anything rude to her. Dr. Griggs then proceeded to tell me I could take care of my dog at home if I preferred, that he had gone to school for 8 years to do this and that was what he was worth. He continued to babble on...to which I told him he was very unprofessional and left the office.

Dr Metcalf and Dr Peek are amazing!! They explain every option to you and really have a love for animals. My Mom takes her Coonhound here and hes not that fond of being messed with (his ears stay infected because they are floppy). I had an emergency with my chihuahua this past week and they were exceptionally attentive to my needs, fears and diagnosing my dog at the time of exam. I would recommend them to anyone and their prices were better than my rescue rate. I do animal rescue and do not trust very many vets that I do not know but this team of vets, techs and receptionist are amazing. They really do love the dogs and that to me is very important. thank you guys for taking such good care of my Lacy Lou!!

Isnt it interesting to see how widely reviews can vary for the same vet clinic. Ive used this clinic for 8 or more years now. If you are looking for a Beverly Hills style pampering, go somewhere else. If, on the other hand, you are looking for caring and knowledgeable staff and animal doctors with very adequate, but not fancy, facilities, this is the place to go. It feels more like being in the country than the suburbs or the city. We (dog and cat and owners) have always been treated with care and concern. Prices are probably average. As with anywhere else, its not the most economical to buy your pets regular meds at the vet. Buy them online.
