The Ol Bait And Switch My Vet reccomended this place to board. I called and said my Dog had the required City of Fort Worth shots. Was told that was fine and to bring the dog over. So, hours before my flight I dropped in with the dog to leave him. The counterfolk looked at my records and had me fill out information then informed me on top of 14 dollar a day charge Id have to pay for their round of shots including Parvao, Bordetella, rabies etc at a cost of 29.00 all with a wink and a smile. Sorry. that was not mentioned to me when I called and I HATE bait and switch places. They continued to tell me how important it is to get those shots and I pointed out that you can buy those vaccines at any feed store for 5 dollars each. Long short of it, I found a pet sitter at the last minute and left my pet at home. Either this place is already infected with Parvo and covering its A$$ (as a shot does no good to a dog exposed to Parvo, it takes a day or too for protection to begin) or like so many vets this place is money hungry. I guess they figure many people just fork over the dough and dont say anything about their HIDDEN COST. Go with a pet sitter, its a few dollars more and your beloved animal is not exposed to all kinds of nasty stuff and you dont have the money picked from your pocket at the last minute. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Snodgrass said he was experienced with toy breeds and I am now thinking that I was misled or else his staff are not on his level. I have spent almost $500 in blood work on my 4 lb. chi and this last visit informed the office I was leaving town but able to receive messages. The message I received from Luke on 12/30 was that they had the blood work results back and to call at my convenience. I assumed there was no urgency and if anything was REALLY important they would call back. On 1/17 I phoned ABC just to get in an argument w Carly who said "It is very important you increase the dosage to better control his seizures." Yet, knowing I was out of town (the chart literally stated that I was in on a Saturday because I needed a refill on my dogs meds. They made me come in for an office visit and blood work before they would fill the script, KNOWING I had to leave town that day for a while) and Carly and the other staff failed to leave that on my voicemail. Carly tried turning the blame on me saying "most people return our phone calls when we call and tell them to call us back." I am not sure what any of her information was for. Guess what, at the end of the call, they want me to go back for another $219 blood test. I am seeing a clear pattern here about the upcharges I have experienced compared to previous vets.

I had a great experience with ABC Animal Clinic last year. Had to bring my toy poodle and found out she had luxating patella in her knees of her back legs. Also, they found an infection in her uterus which caused her a lot of pain when others did not and assumed it was just the luxating patella without even testing for other issues. I know that was the issue because she has not been in that amount of pain anymore since the uterus was removed. She still has some pain when she strains her legs because of her knee condition which we just dont have the money to pay for right now, but doesnt compare to how it was before. Everyone was very attentive and the surgery vet explained how the luxating patella occurs and how the surgery would be performed when we are ready do so. I guess it depends on the day, everyone has a bad day because Ive had a great experiences in every one of my visits and would definitely recommend ABC Animal Clinic to my friends and family.

The vet here refused to manage our dogs arthritis and give us a few more months of life with our dog without running very expensive tests that we could not afford. Our dog was on meds from this vet for the last year of her life, and we knew her time was getting short, and we didnt have money for the tests, only more of the meds. We pled with him saying that we knew the meds were all that was keeping her going, but he argued with us saying that that we might sue him if our dog died of the meds. We told him that we would not, and only wanted more time with our family pet. I was shocked at his coldness. When our dog ran out of meds a few days later, she could no-longer walk or go to the bathroom. We had to put her down at the animal shelter that morning. This clinic has terrible memories for us, and I think the vet here treated us terribly in a situation where he could have made the right call, it seems that he got greedy.

I would never recommend anyone to this poor excuse called an Animal Clinic. It is the worst Animal Clinic I have ever been to and will not return. First, the people that work there are not friendly nor helpful in any way. Second, when I take my pet there, not only do they not even ask if I would like to go back with him, I have yet to meet the vet. If I need to get heartworm pills, they make me schedule an appointment, and charge me an office visit just to get heartworm pills....Lastly and most importantly, when my pet needed to get in ASAP for a hot spot, they told me they couldnt get him in till the following week..If you dont know what a hot spot is, google it, it is a painful open wound type legion that oozes, smells bad, and causes a great amount of pain to the animal, and youre going to tell me you cant get me in until next week....What kind of vet is this. HANDS DOWN THE WORST

Had a great experiece at ABC Animal Clinic today. Brought our shop dog "Brownie" there with a cut foot. Dr, Snodgrass was VERY professional and detailed in explaining his diagnosis and recommendation for treatment. I was also very impressed by the way he asked questions about Brownies lifestyle and offered ways we could help as a company "family" to better take care of Brownie. All the while not being judgmental but just "friendly" When discussing her shots he clearly explained what and why he recommended certain shots over others. There was never any pressure to purchase more than what was needed. Just a great down to earth vet. The assistant (and ugh I cant remember his name) was very helpful and explained everything. Overall just an all around great experience with this group. I wont ever consider taking Brownie any where else. Thanks ABC Animal Clinic!

Horrible!!!! took my perfectly heathy puppy in to get spayed and when we got home she had an abcess on her back so i called and they said it could be from penicilin that they give to all of the pets. a week goes by and i took her back to get her stitches out her incision looks great but the abcess kept getting bigger.... I took her to my regular vet to find out that abc clinic uses the same surgery kit over and over and over without sanitizing it first. GROSSSS! she got an infection from the needle they used which was not properly used in the first place. so if you want your pet to get cut open with dirty stuff then take your pets here otherwise id go somewhere else. weve paid more now with all the problems with my poor puppy. also the lady at the front was not friendly at all with us.
