I took my girlfriend for a cleaning and exam at Dossett Dental. The dentist, a Korean lady named Susan Koo, said my girlfriend needed deep cleaning, a crown, and a bridge. She then sent my girlfriend out to talk with the office manager about the cost. The office manager, a lady named Fariba Dadgostar, told her the deep cleaning would be $900. She then went on to tell her that she needed the deep cleaning because she had a gum infection and that her lower jaw would rot away if she did not get the deep cleaning. The dentist never mentioned she had a gum infection or anything about her lower jaw rotting away. My girlfriend told her she just wanted the regular cleaning and exam and that was all. Fariba told her they would not do regular cleaning, only the deep cleaning for $900. I could not believe what I was hearing; the office manager was making decisions regarding her medical treatment. This middle-eastern lady was not a dentist, not even a dental assistant, and here she was making medical decisions. I then became very irritated at what I was hearing and asked Fariba if I could speak to the dentist. She said that I could not. I told her my girlfriend wanted just the regular cleaning. Fariba said they would only do the deep cleaning and refused to do the regular cleaning. We left the place in disgust. About a week later we went to another dentist and this dentist told her she did not need deep cleaning at all and that she did not have a gum infection. They did the regular cleaning and exam and everything was fine. I was really angry about what we had experienced at Dossett Dental as they were just trying to rip us off. I filed a compliant with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. A lady from their office called me and said she could not believe that they refused to do a regular cleaning. They are investigating the matter at the time of this posting and apparently they have had numerous complaints against Dossett Dental. I would recommend everyone to avoid Dossett Dental as they will try to rip you off too. I also spoke to my dentist about deep cleaning and he said it was rarely needed. I believe something should be done to stop this unethical practice and hope the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners does something.

It was horrible! The woman told me I needed to get 12000 worth of work done after my insurance and scared me out of going to a dentist. Two years later I am seeing another dentist who says I need 1500 worth of work done. I cant believe they are allowed to operate this way. It was like I was dealing with a low end car dealership with pressuring sales tactics. I had one tooth extracted and they were still trying to get a root out after the medication wore off. I was crying and they kept telling me they were almost done. So there was no anestetic and they were pulling a tooth out of mouth. I only found out two weeks later after still complaining about pain that there was still part of the tooth in my mouth. HORRIBLE people, horrible service. I think one of the front desk ladies was nice the rest were horrible. I am seeing the amazing Dr. Bishop the dentist of Allen now and am shocked with the differance in service provided.

Had been going there for a while, first of all, they are VERY not transparent with the insurances and co-pays, like the other reviewer said, they can easily send you a bill several months later, when you least expect it. Second of all, queues, queues and queues. To be called only after 30 mins of waiting is rather good at them, I scheduled my last visit well before but had to wait for an hour anyway. Speaking about their desire to rip you off, Dossett are not THAT bad, there are worse cases, but still, they are definitely milking your insurance provider. They do one tooth and claim coverage for 4 from a provider. They want to X-Ray you as much and often as they can. Et cetera. This is not the worst place but definitely not recommended. Sorry, Dossett.

I had a lot of dental work done here, and while the staff and front desk I s amazing the older dentist dr. Davis is very unprofessional. He is rude, rough , did not care if he hurt me, and acted like I was wasting his time by being there. I have very bad teeth due to terrible dentist work in the past and every time I came in with a broken tooth he acted like I did it on purpose. He also took a chunk of flesh out of my face by being so forceful and I still have a scar. I have also heard him mumble how stupid the staff was under his breath and about other patients. Im very upset I spent so much money here to be treated like I did something wrong. Will never be back.

Ive hated the look of my teeth for years and finally decided to do something about it. After looking around....alot, I decided on Dossett and am so glad I did. Dr. Johnson did an outstanding job by providing a set of beautiful crowns throughout my mouth. What a huge, huge difference that everyone takes notice of. I also love the feeling I get by simply walking in the door. From the office manager to the dental assistants, to the front desk staff, they all are very professional, provide great service and work extremely hard to make the dental experience a very positive one. Check em out.

Terrible! I went in to have a broken molar pulled and was told that it was a wisdom tooth. I am 58 all of my wisdom teeth were taken out at the same time when I was in my 20s. Then I was told they were not going to pull the tooth unless I had the deep cleaning done. (This seems to be a common tactic) I told the finance lady I was not doing that and I wanted the molar extracted now. She went off to talk to some one and I took off. I still have a broken tooth and dental insurance but whats the point if I cannot get a tooth pulled.

Today was my first visit at Dossett Dental Plano. I was referred here by my husband, and glad that I was. From the moment I walked in Kendra was a rock star! The entire team is so friendly: Dr. Kevin Davis, the hygeinist and the assistants were all great. They made sure I was comfortable, explained in detail and layman terms when I had questions, and were extremely patient. I am very glad my switch was this great!

As a warning, Dr.Dossett does not even practice anymore. It is all associates that work there. I have not gotten anything done here yet, but wanted to let people that go there know before they go, as I did not know. My rating is just based on a consultation, no work done yet, and debating as not sure about the associates experiences.
