I have been with her for many years since I dont get sick that much and I am lazy to switch. She is nice to talk to and very warm. Would be a nice neighbor. But she spent most of her time chitchat instead of taking care of her patient. When I mentioned something is bothering me, her usual response is she has the same problem and only worse. But things got worse in recent years as 1) 5 out of 10 when I need to have an appointment with her, she is not available. I had to see her NP. Cannot image she has that many patients. 2) During our annual physical, she decided to order thyroid sonagram, which was done for the past 7 years. I didnt say anything nor bring it up. Then I got the bill from insurance company saying apart from my annual physical ( which is covered 100%) there was an office visit charge. I was shocked. For something I didnt even ask them to do? For the words she murmured to herself? 3) I had a mammogram last year and a lump was found. But everything was normal. This year the mammogram was repeated and lump didnt grow and I was told by the mammogram doctor everything was ok. But Dr Bakhtari wanted to be ultra safe maybe? She ordered sonogram again and off course it ended up costing me over $1500. I dont think she can be of much value to me as a family doctor and I will switch to someone who is more reasonable, both time wise and money wise.

She is not knowledgeable enough to be an internis. I went to her office for 2 times and she was just chatting with me and laughing. Even she didnt want to do any physical exam on me while I was febrile and told her I am shivering. She just said to me she had the same experience as me couple months before due to flu and its not a big deal! She didnt order anything and just told me to buy over the counter meds by myself. I told her I have abdominal pain, she just referred me to an gastroenterologist and brought me a list of her friends who are Dr s to go to them. She even didnt want to touch my belly to find my problem. They charged me for $100 just for chitchatting!! She is just a good chatter not a good Dr. Dont waste your time and money and dont go to her office.

Dr. Ladan Bakhtari is wonderful. She takes time to listen and provides information to your questions or health concerns. The staff is good and her nurse is nice and helpful. Our whole family goes to Doctors of Internal Medicine.
