Ive being going to Dr Escalante for years. The nurses and office people are not the friendliest in the world. Since Ive been going for so long the girls know me. There is one nurse asst. that takes the blood she and I have a rapport of sorts. The Dr is a very good Dr. I am just concerned that he may getting up there in age. He forgets to write specifics on prescriptions and other times he forgot to give me all my prescriptions. I had to go back and see him to get them. I will continue to go to him because he knows my medical history. One other thing is he does not go to North East Baptist Hospital.. and that is the hospital I go to. He used to go but I have no idea why he doesnt anymore. I dont know if he goes to any hospitals for that matter. Other wise I have no problem with him.

I showed up for my first appt w/ the Dr. I didnt have to wait long maybe 20 minutes. There was a child behind the counter but this day the little boy was well behaved and coloring. The ladies working behind the window are okay they dont go out of there way in being friendly or helpful so I give them an avg rating. As for the Dr. he was very thorough with my first visit...he asked lots of questions and then did the physical exam...so all in all I had a positive experience and would recommend the Dr to others. I would rate him a step above avg.

Extremely, totally unprofessional office. Excellent doctor but he needs to talk to his help and let them know they are the first thing a patient sees and it is not a pretty site. They dont address the patient. You wait and wait and wait and finally they acknowledge you. They are more concerned with children behinf the counter running amok. Language had cuss words as if there was no one that would hear them. Again, VERY unprofessional.

Do you remember the Doctors that use to do home visits? Well this doctor visited me when I was ill and he did not have to. In this world of fast pace everything this doctor is a gem. Dr. Escalante cares for his patients and more than that, he is just the "Salt of The Earth" good hearted Doctor. I trust my life to him. We need thousands like him in this cold impersonal world of 3-4 min visits with a patient.
