(You should know that whenever you are leaving your appointment, they actively ask you to provide them with a Google review. They even give you a print out that promotes where you can do this. Im sure they dont this with unsatisfied customers, but just take all of the positive reviews with a grain of salt.) After my second appointment with them in January 2016, appointments my husband had with them, after much research going into finding a new dentist, and now confirming that my files were sent to my new dentist, I now feel comfortable posting my review. After deciding to give them another chance, I left feeling more agitated than I did after my first visit. Just like when you go to the doctor, you go to the see the person who has treated you before, understands your health history, and knows YOU. When I go to the dentist, I expect the same. However, I saw an entirely different dentist, with no mention of where my previous dentist was. And as with the first time, the order of my appointment was out of typical order, with the procedures done first and cleaning done last. The thing that upset me the most this time, though, was the fact that their proposal for what I should get taken care of totaled over $1,000! At my previous appointment, it was very similar, although not as expensive. Thats why I was so shocked – since I didnt have any emergencies or out of the ordinary issues, how did my mouth get so bad within the last six months that I required over $1,000 worth of procedures?! I have been a teeth grinder and clencher all my life, so this wasnt my first time I had a dentist tell me I need a night guard. This was the first time, though, that Ive had a dentist and their staff really push me to get one. When I say "no, I dont want that," it doesnt mean "keep selling me on it." There were two other procedures that were recommended, one of which I did that day and another I declined. I didnt tell them at the time, but I wanted to get a second opinion since (1) the procedure didnt sound like something I needed immediate attention on, which they said I did, and (2) the cost was so high. I went to the dentist I used to go to when I was a child/teenager and that my parents still go to for the second opinion. That trusted dentist, while not accusatory to the Ideal Dentist folks, basically said that the small procedure I got was appropriate, but the second one was not a recommendation he would have made. The kicker, I showed him the price proposal and he told me that there was a fee that was added on to the expensive procedure that isnt necessary, but its what dentists [can legally] often do to bump up the cost to make them a little bit more. The final straw I had with my appointment was after I declined the second procedure. When I was paying for my bill (again out of order, in the middle of the appointment, not the end like a normal visit), they told me that they tweaked the price to be a little more expensive now so that when I came back to do the second procedure, it wouldnt cost me so much then. I knew I wasnt coming back to them to get that procedure, even if my second opinion dentist told me I should do it. At any rate, I found it odd practice that they would do that. My husband received similar treatment in regards to being pushed into getting a night guard. He also mentioned that the order of his appointment was out of order, like my experience. The combination of my first and second appointments, my second opinion from my childhood dentist, and my husbands experience solidified the fact that I never wanted to go to this place ever again. Long story short, Ideal Dental is disorganized and they upsell and pressure you. This is basically the Massage Envy of dentists: franchise locations all over that make you feel like youre in a cattle call. Youre not a patient to them; youre a number, someone to squeeze money out of. Good luck to anyone who decides to use Ideal Dental, and not just the Southlake store, any location.

I am not sure where to begin....It had been 5 years since my last dental visit (when you become a mom, you kind of take a back seat to your own health at times), and I was experiencing extreme pain, although I take excellent care of my teeth. The entire Ideal Dental staff went above and beyond to not only make me feel comfortable, but they also helped me with the financial aspect of paying for the dental work that I needed, which could get costly especially without any insurance. They have this amazing in house financial option for those without dental insurance, and they made it affordable for me to get the work that I needed done without stressing over the cost. I think a lot of us out there tend to shy away from the dentist solely because of the fear of not being able to afford it, but at IDEAL DENTAL I did not have to choose between getting work done or not because of the money aspect. I would HIGHLY recommend Ideal Dental to anyone who is looking for a great place for any and all dental work that they need to have done. Whether it has been 2 months or 5 years since you have seen a dentist, I would not wait any longer because you do not have to, you have a choice to take care of yourself and your dental health at Ideal Dental. Thank you to all of the staff for making me feel welcomed and unafraid to take care of myself again!

I have only had one appointment with Ideal Dental so far. I chose them because they accept my new insurance, and I was pleasantly surprised to be welcomed and seen quickly. I had concerns about teeth grinding after I chipped a tooth. The Dentist spoke to me about many different options. He was patient and understanding. He then temporarily fixed my chipped tooth and cleaned my teeth. I chose to speak to the Orthodontist about correcting my bite and straitening my lower teeth, due to my grinding and symptoms of TMJ. He made me feel very much at ease explaining that my issues were all correctable. The staff prepared an estimate for the work I needed and to my surprise, it was affordable and very doable! I am very excited, and I am returning this week to get my braces! This has been a longtime desire of mine, but usually never doable nor affordable. I am not one to make hasty decisions, but I felt very comfortable with the Dentist and the Orthodontist I spoke to. I felt that this was the right time and place to begin this process to a healthier mouth and smile. The assistants were all so nice, helpful and efficient. Liz, and the office staff, was so kind and patient, helping me feel at ease with my decision.

I am so happy that Ideal Dental opened a Southlake location! My family moved to Southlake in 2011 and we tried a couple of different dentists before Ideal opened. My sister is a dentist in a different state so I know what to look for in a top notch office. Dr. Sara Cain and her staff are exactly what we were looking for! It was apparent from the moment we walked into the office that the attitude here was different. Everyone, from Dr. Cain to her assistants Tara and Sara and the front desk ladies Summer and Shannon are proud of their office and really care about providing an exceptional experience for their patients. You can sense their pride every minute of your visit. Today, it is so common to feel like a number in other doctors offices but here it is obvious that Dr. Cain and her staff care about your experience and appreciate you as a patient. The thoroughness Dr. Cain demonstrates in something as simple as a routine cleaning is repeated throughout your visit. My family, which includes our two young children, love Dr. Cain and the Ideal Dental staff and we enthusiastically recommend Ideal Dental to anyone looking for an exceptional dentists office in the Southlake area.
