Regarding the billing and insurance: It appears that Dr. Clapp owns a separate dentistry practice that is in network with my insurer, Delta Dental. So if you are looking to determine if Dr. Clapp is in network, it looks like he may be, because the practices name is listed as: Jason A Clapp DDS PA. I made this mistake and was made painfully aware of it when it came time to pay the bill. Pediatric Dental World appears to be where Dr. Clapp actually practices, and he is not currently in network with Delta Dental. If you ask their office, they will tell you that they accept Delta Dental, but this does not mean they are in network. The insurance system is one that requires a fair amount of knowledge to navigate successfully. Being in network means that they accept the reimbursements assigned by the insurance company and you are responsible for fees spelled out by your insurer. Accepting an insurance merely means that they will bill them, but you are responsible for any remaining balances. This can be VERY expensive without any discounts. Regarding Pediatric Dental World and Dr. Clapp: I must admit that this was by far the best run and most professional practice that I have ever experienced. They appear to really go out of their way to make the patient and parent experience as painless as possible. The staff were about as friendly as possible. Members of his team that were not even providing my sons care were saying "hello" and introducing themselves. Dr. Clapp was very pleasant and did not appear to be overly rushed. I sincerely wish that I could continue to use Pediatric Dental World, but the additional costs associated with out of network providers will keep me from this outstanding practice. Now that I think about it, if I was Dr. Clapp, I probably wouldnt go in network if I knew that the quality of my practice would still draw patients even if the parents had to pay significantly above the insurance reimbursement (aka: usual and customary fees).

I read a review that other people said the same thing.PleasePlease becareful with billing. First,Icalled and asked if they take our insurance and they said they will, after my son checked his teeth and found several cavity, they called insurance and workwith them to see how much is my coverage was, and the billing lady showed me a actual amount which was over 1000 duller, but I paid that time at desk since I wanted to fixed his cavity and get over with. a month later,I got another bill from them over 700 duller, saying that my insurance is not good and did not cover much.I was so comfused and upset.I already paid at the desk a huge amount and no one there told me that It was not a final amount.or I would have not done the work If I knew this is going to happen. I called and ask them why this happened, but they told me that it was only estimated cost so they never knew. I am pretty upset that I was not told clearly that it was not a final amount and estimated cost .and also even it was estimated cost, they let me paid the amount. The office and stuff was very nice and Iliked it soI was very disappointed of this... But After my sons cavity fixed by then,my son keep saying his teeth hurts... He never said that before So I just paid big Duller for nothing bur trouble. So,Please makesure that you ask for finalcost.

Awesome Doc, Awesome staff, Awesome office! They have Xboxs and Playstations for the older kids to play while you wait and ipads mounted in the wall with little padded couches for smaller kids to sit and play at so that they arent just setting there trying to crawl up your face cause theyre scared! Lol. Once you get called back they do everything they can to make the kids feel very comfortable explaining everything in fine details before they do it so that you and your kid feel at ease. My 4 yr old little girl had a ball there. She ended up needing more work than they could do so the doc recommend that we take her to the Frisco Childrens hospital where his wife works and she had to do 3 root canals and 10 caps on my baby and she came out great! They have coloring tables and a whole wall thats a white board to draw on so that the child is entertained while the doc goes over the treatment plan with you without distraction so that you know exactly whats going on. I could keep going but by this time if youre still reading this you should be saying WOW like I did the first time I walked into this place with my kids!

We have been taking our children here to see Dr. Lee ever since they were 6 months and havent been to another dentist office sense. We love how the building is designed from the waiting room to the rest room to the patient rooms. They have everything you could probably think of to entertain kids and keep them calm in a preoccupied manner. We like this office so much that we dont mind driving an hour from our home just to do the 2 six month visits each year. Dr. Lee is great with our kids and you can tell she is a mom which is comforting. They give the kids a toy to take home after each visit and they always have plenty of toys to choose from. We like the cleanliness of the office and the staff. They have TVs above each patient chair and they play a cartoon for the kids to watch when they are laid back in their chairs. My children like the fish tank too. We are grateful that they took the time to make their website appealing because this is how we made our decision as to which dentist office we would feel comfortable taking our kids to and they have yet to disappoint.

Dr. Clapp and Pediatric Dental World are terrific. (This review is based on several positive experiences.) Latest: We had a weekend emergency after a little one had a fall on a Sunday morning before church. Teeth and mouth injuries always look gruesome and it can be tough for parents to determine the best course of action on a weekend (local ER, urgent care, travel to Childrens in Dallas, or painful wait and see). After texting some photos and a conversation with Clapp, he was ready to take action. He met us in the office just 30 minutes later to take the X-Ray himself. And the good news is he helped us determine the best, most efficient, and least painful way to resolve it right there. It is really common nowadays for people to be very critical and demanding. When there is service and professionalism and compassion like Dr. Clapps, it is even more important to be grateful. Dr. Clapp is one of the people in this world using his knowledge and talents to not only help patients live healthier Iives, but he is doing it in a way that makes for stronger community.

This place was great from start to finish! No waiting time, although had there been any, they had games in the lobby for kids to play. My 4-year old daughter felt so comfortable! Every detail covered...flavored dental gloves (for hygenist to wear), fun toothbrushes, fun sticker, and a prize cabinet with lots of prizes to choose from! Mr. Thirsty (the water sucker), The Germ Catcher (cleaning pick), flavored toothpaste are among many details that made my daughter (and me) at ease. They also explained everything to my daughter and showed her (on her skin) what it felt like and what they would use it for. She got to wear sunglasses (for the bright dental light) and watch a kid-friendly movie while they did the cleaning and exam. I also noticed that, because it was her first time to the dentist, they had her in the "first time" room which was private and separated from the other exam area (which had space for 6 patients at a time). Overall, it was a great experience, and I would most definitely recommend it!
