After a negative experience, I wrote a review of this practice in March of 2009. Afterward, I was called (multiple times until I returned the call) by the Dr herself and informed that after research, the practice had figured out that I was the author of the following review. Inappropriate. This was weeks later, and my issue was already resolved by another dr. There were many excuses about phones distressed by electrical storms, etc. My review disappeared but is now listed under a dr who is no longer at the practice!--as is a review by another patient. Interesting. My appt was w Dr Debuys. Dr Aranda is NOT in the practice! Id appreciate no repercussions from Southlake Derm staff this time around. Morals are already questionable. I wrote a negative review-get over it.This is America. Its called Freedom of Speech. ** MY REVIEW CUT/PASTE that is currently ATTACHED TO DR ARANDA VIA SEARCH ENGINE!!** See review as follows------- WORST EXPERIENCE E-V-E-R - I have NEVER HAD SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with a physicians office! I had a new patient appointment on a Tuesday with Dr Debuys. I addressed two issues that I had as reason for my appointment, along with having a full body exam, as I have never been to a derm. I felt that the dr was pleasant enough during my time with her. She exmined one of my problem areas for about 10 minutes and took measurements. Upon checkout, she did not require any follow ups and I paid my $40 copay. After arriving home, I realized I had zero answers about one of the two primary reasons for my visit. She spent so much time with the measuring and the "hmm"-ing that she never told me what to do---even if it was benign or if I should have concern! I called the office on Wednesday. The receptionist "transferred me" to the nurse but the line sat deadair with no transfer. I called again and was told by another person that they had no clue who would do this as the nurse line didnt work at all. This was actually my fourth call, as the first two times I called, the phones just rang and rang with no answer at all. By Friday at 1130, I had no return call. The office closes at noon on Friday. At 1130, when I called, the phones had ALREADY been forwarded to their answering service! At this point I left a very detailed, very irritated message on the voicemail. On Monday, I finally received a call from someone who asked what it was that I was needing to ask. What??? After two messages, one with a live human, they have no idea what my question even is. Love it. After explaining AGAIN, I am informed that Dr Debuys is not in and they will have to call me Tuesday after asking her what to do. This apparently means that she dictated nothing in my chart. Wonderful. Im sorry, what exactly did I pay $40 for last Tuesday? Of course, no return call on Tuesday. No, not Wednesday either. On THURSDAY I am called by the nurse who informs me that because I asked about so many issues at my visit, that the dr needs me to come in so she can reevaluate. I found out at least, that my issue was probably benign. However after all the measuring and staring for ten minutes or more....I am expected to return to this hell, pay more money for something I was ALREADY SEEN FOR so I can get the answer to my question. You know, the one I have waited over a week so that I can actually not even get an answer? Really, unless you like a lot of ridiculous garbage like this and a dr who cant answer a question if you ask two at your appointment (oh, and a staff who puts the blame on YOU for asking two questions), then DO NOT SET FOOT IN THIS OFFICE!! I have worked in the medical field since 1997 and have never seen a practice like this one. 1 out of 3 people found this review helpful .

My wife and I have been patients at your clinic for, probable 7 or 8 years. We have appreciated the care you have given. However, lately things have not gone well as I see it. I did not appreciate the lecture Pamela gave me about you " having other patients beside me." I know you have other patients. But I would guess maybe a great percentage of you patients are there for beauty care. Since I have been dealing with this problem for over 5 months and the discomfort and pain is 24/7 it might be considered urgent. Yes, Pamela was very sweet and nice when she helped me Wednesday. I did wonder why Dr. Greer did not at least say "hello". And, I was sure Pamela said that she was going to search for "wound care" for me after I left. So, forgive me for my misunderstanding and that will never happen again. Thank you, Stan Cover

I went to see this doctor twice. The first time was to have a couple of moles removed. The visit was 3 weeks after the birth of my son. I asked the Dr. about the Thermage treatment for some loose skin on my stomach. She rudely informed me that it would not take care of "all my fat." I had informed her that I just gave birth, but she was still very insensitive. I have since lost all of the weight from that baby. I tried the office again (just in case I was too emotional) for a dermasweep procedure. I could not get any answers from the person who helped me. It was like I had to ask every specific question to get any answers. The procedure was done in under 20 minutes and cost $175. It may be effective, but I prefer a place that will take time with me, and help me to understand what/why they are doing!

I had a raised spot on my head and went in for a check up. The PA said it was not cancer and was not due to sun damage. She froze the growth off. Several months later I came back and they tested it and said it was cancerous. The referred my to a surgery center to have removed. The doctor who removed the growth said in addition, just looking at my head she could see significant sun damage and recommended that i go back to Southlake Dermatology because they could treat it with cream. When Southlake Dermatology called me I told them that they missed my diagnosis and that I did not want to meet with a PA. They said they would have a Doctor call which they never did. I would not recommend anyone to go to Southlake Dermatology.

I took my daughter to this clinic to treat her for hyperhidrosis. They took plenty of time with us and prescribe her deodorant and meds. I thought the staff was great and because of their knowledge and time, this changed my daughters life. My insurance changed and I was no longer able to take her to this clinic. We went to another dermatologist in Grapevine who had never heard of the prescription meds and would not prescribe the deodorant (said it didnt work). We told them they were very wrong, because we are proof it does. Had we gone to Grapevine first, my daughter would still be dealing with this problem. My insurance has changed again, and we are now able to use Southlake Dermatology. We WILL be back!
