This is the worst hospital in Sugar land. My wife was recently went to its emergency room and subsequently admitted in hospital for 6 days. We had constant nightmares while we were there. Even in early morning no patients waiting in ER it took 2 hrs. for my wife to get into inside Er room. ER doctor did not come and nurse did not not give any medication or pain reliever when my wife had fever and acute pain in knee due to septic arthritis. ER doctor was incompetent and could not take knee fluid for testing- a normal procedure for ER doctor. Hospital in-patient room was ok, but all staff were neglectful. There was no coordination between various speciality doctors- orthopedic surgeon, cardiologist, infectious disease sp.. They scheduled and rescheduled several times without properly informing patients or family. Hospitals primary doctor (Hospitalist) came late second day. Over the week-end the replacement hospitalist Dr. Ali was totally careless. First time he came to room when my wife was back from the surgery partially sedated (she was alone in room) and just tod her his name and asked her if any question. Second day he came and stood 3 feet away from bed asked if any questions. Did not examine patient and saw how her knee was after operation and did not know about the blood and fluid testing results. After 3 days in hospital and recovering my wife got seek again and got more fever and scary situation happened. Several other tests had to be run. To put a pick line surgically she was taken to radiology and put her to wait 2 hours because the radiology doctor and technicians were gone on lunch. Because of this she missed several other doctors visited her room and due to prolonged fasting she did not consume any food so she got nauseated and fainted . There was no clear communication and no one cared. Overall we had worst experience. Later on talking with several of our friends and family we found that everyone had bad experience about this hospital. We found out that three of our friends relatives had become more sick after going to this hospital have died there due to more complications. I will urge all neighborhood people here to avoid this hospital.

In todays world of fast pace many a times peoples are under appreciated for the caring and service they offer. But when people go above and beyond it is haunting not to mention them for all they do. Thus, this is my appreciation of those who show the commitment to their service and the care to the community they serve. Few days back my mother was in need of that level of care. The moment that I arrived at the hospital other than the ER I was able to find a very caring African American male staff( who I wish I can acknowledge with his NAME) expeditiously was able to get a wheelchair and briskly rush my mother to Er triage without a moment to delay. While in the ER: from the processing task to the prompt evaluation, labs, imaging the ER staff were super( mentionable were Dr. Adam Boestar, Eric Marquez, Shawn- RN-IV access, and Steven-CT). After being admitted and sent to Heart and Vascular floor: next level of care was also exceptional. Through out the duration to discharge the dedication of the staff cant be overlooked. Though entire floor personnel were fantastic but a few mentionables--Bolagi and Belinda I have to specifically highlight. The profession of nursing can be very proud that they have members such as these individual who give credit for the nursing profession. The level of compassion and caring was humbling to say the least. Again, the earlier mentioned unknown African American male personnel who was able to swiftly take my mother all the way from the 3rd building to the Er without a moments delay are reassuring that there is hope. Please continue to do aspiring work and I am confident that recipients of care will be indebted for your goodness.

After being ill for a few weeks - because I have cough variant asthma - I thought my symptoms were worse, because of allergies. I had completed antibiotics & was almost done with the prednisone, but I kept getting worse. My cough was horrible. My husband took me to Methodist Sugar Land ER 4/22/17 at 10:00am - we only waited 10-minutes before going back into ER room. We were so impressed by the staff - from the ER Dr, Nurse, CT/X-Ray tech to all those aids who helped check me out. They found I had developed pneumonia - aggravated by a viral infection (similar to a cold), but since my lungs were weak - the pneumonia took over. They had me in my room before 2:00pm - hooked up to antibiotics, fluids, and steroids, etc. immediately. I have been admitted into multiple hospitals through-out my life - for childbirth, surgeries, etc., but I have never been more pleased with my care. Absolutely, everyone was attentive, caring, open about my treatment, what they were doing whenever they came into my room and my progress. I loved all of the doctors on my case. After spending 5-days/4-nights there - I can truly say, in the future - I will never go anywhere else. The hospital - ER & my room - were immaculate. The only complaint - which is not their fault - was I was placed on a heart healthy diet, but I understand...when in the hospital, you are not there for fine dining. I will continue going to my assigned Pulmonary Doctor for follow up - he helped get me well. Thank you, Methodist Hospital Sugar Land, for getting me home and on the road to recovery.
