To start, we only came here because our pet was a rescue and they had provisions made for the neutering to take place in this clinic. We live over an hour away so it was very inconvenient for us. When I arrived at 8:30am- there were no smiling faces and this was a red flag for me. There were 3 ladies at the front and 1 was helping another. The other two were working on paper work I suppose. I patiently waited for check in which took a few minutes. Finally, I was called to get my pet checked in. The process was easy and fairly quick - and away my pet went to the back. I was told to come back after 4pm and that I could call at 2pm to check the status. When I came back - the same lady was there to release my pup back to me and this time, a bit friendlier. We checked out and my pet looked to be OK, he was in good spirits. We left to put him in the car and lo-and-behold there was blood all over my car seat and some in the lobby as well. It took a minute to get some assistance while they took my puppy back to check him out. The blame was put on me to be gentle when putting him in the car.. if the wound was patched this lightly and we got home, imagine how badly that could have been? A couple of loud yelps later (it could have been anyones pet, but I assumed it was mine), my pup comes back with his tail between his legs and they told me that they stapled his testicles together. STAPLES?! Really? I said, I live over an hour away and it is really inconvenient to get there. The trip to pick him up was 1.5 hours and going home was probably going to take another 1.5 (it took 2). She said, "its fine, anybody can take them out very easily, but you can of course come back here." Im not a vet but I am a doctor and I know staples can be removed easily, but they can also be a problem. I decided to trust her judgement because like I said, Im not a vet - and since finding the time off was definitely an issue. 2 weeks later - and $300 later at a different clinic - my puppy required SEDATION again just for the staple removal since they were buried in his testicles. Not to mention he would need ANOTHER week at minimum in the cone! Although I believe the procedure itself went well and smooth, the wound was not closed properly and Im very dissatisfied that they felt placing FIVE staples 1 mm apart from each other would be the best thing for my pet - rather - it was a quick and convenient fix for them. Ultimately it was a painful and costly experience for my puppy, not to mention RISKY for him since my vet was having to place him under sedation once again. Our vets close to where we live have said they have never seen staples placed for this type of procedure nor would they ever recommend doing it for any of their pets.

I believe that the Bear Branch Staff is the best all around! When my Aussie was hit over ten years ago, Dr French took him into his clinic (even though they were leaving for the night), got xrays and treated his wounds when another vet clinic wouldnt see him as he was bleeding all over until I paid the fees up front! Dr. French has always been compassionate and awesome with my pets and with us, through all that life has thrown us. Just recently, this year infact, he assisted us while we were fostering a Soldiers dog. The soldier was unable to bring his dog back to Korea where she was born and he was stationed (again) because she lacked a test that took three months to complete. Dr. French took on the challenge, did the tests and helped us get her on her way to her family! Thats dedication! I live over forty minutes from his clinic now, but I will tell you this, I will not go to any other clinic to have my animals treated, even though there are four within spitting distance of me. The staff and doctors of Bear Branch are the best, hands down.

After reading good reviews of Bear Branch it sounded as though it was the best vet clinic and hospital in town. I have taken my dog to them for routine vacations and other needs. I have never met Dr. French; but we have always settled for whatever veterinarian had an opening (most 5 star reviews are raving of Dr. French). After my visit today we will not be returning patients of this clinic. We seem to only have average service. I left the clinic at our last visit with a bitter taste in my mouth regarding about how the vet interacted with me and my pup. I do have to add that the vet techs are always very friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs.

Yesterday was my first time visiting this vet. I took my dog in for a teeth cleaning as well as a few other things that she needed done. I have to say, for the first time since I have owned animals I didnt feel like they were just after my wallet. They performed everything I needed at a very reasonable price and didnt try and tack on a bunch of unnecessary fees. The staff was friendly and although I did not personally meet Dr. French on this visit, I did see him interact with my dog and he was very sweet to her. The female Dr. that I did speak with was very nice and informative. I will definitely be using this vet from this point on.

Vet is good but actually getting to see the vet is a pain. You have to wait days and days even in an emergency for your dog to be seen. I was given a time frame of 40 minutes to magically find a way to get my dog there and cancel out of work for he day to do it all and told it wasnt their fault because apparently all of Texas, except me, is off and thats all they could do because I didnt book my urgent event that occurred today last Tuesday. I asked if anything could be squeezed in tomorrow early and told no next time was Monday. If you dont mind your dog laying around sick or dying, bear branch is he vet for you!!

I have taken all of my animals to Dr Keith French. I have never been more sure of his love and care for all animals. I was with him when he owned his practice on 1960 and I am going to him now that he is the Woodlands. There are 4 vets nearby, but I choose to drive 40 minutes just so my animals can get the best care. The staff is wonderful. The office is beautful, doesnt even look like a vets office it is so pretty. You could not ask for a more caring vet and his prices are extremely reasonable. He is not in this for the money, hes in the business because he loves animals.

Had a wonderful experience with Bear Branch Animal Hospital. Called at 7:30 in the morning on a Friday to get my cat seen. She needed medical attention ASAP and was new to their office, she had never been there before. They took her at their next available appointment which was less than a hour after I called. We went straight back and saw the vet immediately. Staff was friendly, prices were good. No shock factor, very reasonable. Couldnt be more thankful that they took us in as new patients on such short notice AND they are affordable!! They have our loyalty, we will return!
