I have been coming here the last five years with my two cats, one of whom is very medically complex (asthma, diabetes, urethra blockages, an eye infection that led eventually to an eye removal, pneumonia, IBS - you name it, my little guy has had it). They have always been great with us, especially in very stressful circumstances, and are usually able to get us in same-day when needed. I have also found them to be an excellent deal price-wise for the area. An office visit is $42; compare that to $72 down the street at Adobe! The one star off is for vet turnover. Now, if you have a generally healthy pet who just goes in for a wellness exam once a year, I imagine this matters not at all. But as someone whos attempting to manage multiple chronic problems in my cat, I did occasionally find it frustrating to call and find out my vet had moved on and I needed to start over with someone else. That having been said, Ive really liked all the vets Ive had at Alpine over the years (including Dr. Moore, our current vet), and there is actually not much turnover in the staff, so I still had a sense of continuity. Im about to move across the country, and Alpine Animal Hospital is one of the things Im sad to be leaving behind. Thanks for five great years, Alpine! The boys and I will miss you.

It was a miracle to me. My 5.5 month old Akita got super super sick. Like poisoned somehow. I didnt know what to do. I had had all of his shots at Banfield hospital in PetSmart, but when I called them with my emergency they told me not to bring him there because they were to busy. In frustration I just took him to my moms house. I hadnt slept for 2 days and had been working all day then cleaning up...... The mess... The rest of the time, the whole time worrying. I called emergency but all they cared about was money. I was going to nurse him myself somehow. But I never stopped praying. All of a sudden out of nowhere there was the "new vet in town", I called. Monica picked up and listened to me ramble the problem, remember, I was tired and frustrated. She was super nice to me, she told me to bring him in and not to worry. When I got there it felt so good. Monica took Kuma easily (he might have a crush on her? You know how puppies are) and took care of him all day. All day I was able to relax and get my work done. I knew Kuma was where he was supposed to be. The Dr was fantastic! Kuma was feeling 100% better and I really felt an understanding with the Dr, which I really like. Im going to have Kuma nuetered there, and he will remain Kumas Dr for as long as were in Utah.

My husband and I rescued 2 pugs in the last 3 months from PugPals rescue. Dr Kendig does an excellent job getting these rescues ready to be placed in forever homes. From teeth cleanings, extractions, bladder stone surgery removal etc. Recently my oldest rescue got very ill. Our local Vet did a Urinalysis and told us her urine was clear. By the next day our little pug was so sick. My local Vet could not get her in for 5 days. I emailed Dr. Kendig who told me he would see her that same day. Although his clinic is 61 miles from our home it was well worth the drive. Dr. Kendig did lab work and thank goodness another UA. Our baby had a raging UTI. Dr. Kendig had her stay overnight at his clinic so he could monitor her. He got her on an antibiotic that helped her very quickly. When we picked her up the next day her tail was wagging, she was able to eat, and by the second day was back to playing ball. Best Vet I have ever been to! Thank you Dr. Kendig and staff! Please move to Davis County!

I had taken my Border Collie to another vet a year ago. They did a draining of his gland and handed me antibiotics, and a antibiotic cream for a number of months hoping it would heal up. At this point my confidence in that vet clinic was at an end...I was glad to see Alpine Animal Hospital open its doors, so I took Oreo in to see what could be done. Dr Kendig gave me more information about my dogs condition in two minutes then the others had told me in months at the other clinic. He then laid out a line of steps to get the current situation taken care of with Oreo. We quickly began the process to get him well again. Oreo is feeling and acting sooo much better. I would highly recommend Alpine Animal Hospital and Dr Kendig for your pets in Utah County and surrounding areas.

The Alpine Animal Hospital web page is super helpful and can answer any question about their services just from their page. They describe each an every service that they provide for their patients and also allow individuals to see the people that are working inside the clinic. This is a large relief factor to put a face to a name and be comfortable with the people that are helping your pet. They clearly display their hours of availability and have documents to enroll in service at their clinic. Another thing that was great about the web page was the limited time discount on a first exam, which pops up immediately when opening the web page. This is great to see that they are willing to provide a discount. I recommend Alpine Animal Hospital.

I loved this place! I was searching for somewhere to take my pet when he got sick this winter, and the website for Alpine Animal Hospital had all the information that I needed to make an informed decision on where to go. They also have a facebook page that stays up to date with holiday hours, which was really nice since google doesn’t always have that information. They have all the forms on the website, so I didn’t have to waste any time filling them out in the office; I went for my appointment and got right in. It is a really nice, high quality office, and the staff is warm and friendly. Definitely the best place to take your sick pets, they rock!

Over priced. I called and told them our Chocolate Lab needed a broken nail checked out. They acted like it was going to be no big deal. Took my dog down and the vet looked at the nail and wanted to charge me $300 for a mini procedure and some meds. Told him Id take the meds but couldnt afford the mini procedure. Charged me $100 for the meds (felt it was over priced) and I left to take my dog to PetSmart. PetSmart clipped all my dogs nails and took care of the broken one at no extra charge. Total came to $15. Wish I would have went to PetSmart the first time around. Staff seemed friendly enough but really pricey.

I cant say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kendig. I adopted a cat from the human society that was missing all his fur from his midsection down. Dr. Kendig recognized right away that he most likely had a food allergy. Other vets I had seen wanted to give meds. He gave me some suggestion of different types of proteins to try and sure enough, all his fur grew back within just a few short months. He knows his stuff and more importantly to me is the way he cares for and treats other clients animals as if they were his own. Also love the fact that he has numerous rescues himself!
