Dr. Abundo was great, however his staff left much to be desired. I decided to try him for the first time after having getting a family relative recommendation. My fist examination visit was fantastic, he was very detailed with his explanations. My second visit however, undid all of that, I was met by a serious of mistakes that make it hard not to judge the competence of his staff. First there was a mistake in the color of my frames (I was going to let that go), then I asked for my glasses to be adjusted as they would rattle too much and to be cleaned since there was a bit of gunk on the sides. After seeing Lia sort of struggle adjusting and cleaning them , Im given back my new glasses with scratches on the frame and on the lenses themselves too. Im then told they can fix the lens scratch, Im already feeling uneasy about the whole process but Im trying to go through with it. Right before I pay for them Im given a cheap case for my glasses which is not even the same brand than my glasses and Im told that they dont have the original. The other office tech recognized that I wasnt informed in detail about my discount deal and about the other mistakes made and sort of apologized, but by then I had been in the office for over 30 minutes already, for simple pick up? Im sorry but at this point I no longer think it is worth paying a penny for all your mistakes and for making me waste my time waiting and driving there.

If youre looking for an optometrist, I sincerely recommend Dr. Abundo at Abundo Eye Care. I love it when people are passionate about what they do. I remember when I had my first appointment with him back in 2010 - I giggled a little bit because he seemed so excited to figure out how to improve my vision. He found something that no other eye doctor had ever noticed or tried to correct before (Ive been seeing them since first grade, now Im in my 30s). I have gone back every year since then for my yearly exam and have been impressed each time. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, answers all my questions, and takes his time addressing each one. I also appreciate that while he explains new promotional offers, he gives equal attention to their pros and cons, and does not push anything because he is aware of cost constraints. His staff is friendly and helpful. And they have an excellent selection of frames. I have never had trouble finding just the right pair for me. I love this place and recommend it highly!

Dr. Abundo is a great doctor and I think he does a really good job however his staff and whom ever he gets his lenses created from do not do a good job. I felt very rushed when checking the pupil alignment, they made me sign a waver before sending my glasses in to get lenses saying Im responsible if they break anything, then when they sent my frames back they were missing parts. When I asked where the pieces were (the caps to the screws on my frameless lenses) they told me "Did you check the bag?" then "Sorry, we can do anything about that". What they should have done was ordered me more screw caps, not tell me sorry we lost your stuff, your out of luck. Also when I told them my glasses didnt looked aligned, it was like "tough luck buddy". Ive had better service at wal-mart and will not be coming back. Hopefully I have a better experience somewhere else. Update - So on further review I have better vision with my old pair of glasses vs my new pair of glasses. Great, I paid for worst vision. Wont be coming back.

Dr. Abundo is amazing! He is very detail oriented and truly has a passion for what he does. He noticed things about my eyes that no other doctor has bothered to see. He takes the time to explain things so that I understand. And its easy to tell he really loves his job. When my new frames could not be straightened correctly due to a manufacturer defect, I got new frames and they were perfect! It wasnt a hassle at all. The office staff ladies are super friendly and quick to meet my needs. I would recommend Dr. Abundo to anyone, but especially those that have had bad experiences with eye care providers. Dr. Abundo will show you how eye care should really be. And you wont be disappointed!

What an incredible Dr. and staff. I had serious problem come up with one of my eyes. Barbra got me in to see Dr. Abundo to evaluate my eye. Dr. Abundo found the problem and had me scheduled in for an emergency eye repair. I have been going to Dr. Abundo before he opened Abundo Eye Care, he has always been extremely courteous with all the members of my family and friends. The staff have always been wonderful. Thank you Dr. Abundo and staff for always taking care of us, we would be lost without you!

Ive been coming here for 5+ years, after going to several other eye doctors, Dr. Abundo is truly the BEST! The staff is great and will help you with any situation that arises, most of the staff is very knowledgable and has been there for years. Dr. Abundo remembers and cares about his patients. I refer ALL my friends and family to him, over the years at least 10 people I have referred have changed their eye doctor to Dr. Abundo because they love him as well!

Dr. Abundo has been both of my son and my eye doctor. He is knowledgeable, well qualified, and most important of all, he has a caring heart. He make sure we see well. In fact, he made me see so well that now I see every dirt around my house. I do not think I would thank him for that. The doctor is amazing. He has gone above and beyond getting the correct lenses for my weird eyes. However, every time Ive gone, his staff has completely screwed up my glasses. I cant trust them to get it right. Eyeglasses cost too much money. I cant afford their errors.

Dr. Abundo and his staff are amazing! I have been looking for a great eye doctor for a while now and I finally found one! Not only is he super nice, but he is also very thorough and makes sure your prescription is perfect! I am so thankful I took a chance and found the one!

Dr. Abundo is always thorough and makes sure you are getting the best vision possible. He and the staff are very professional and helpful. He is the the local guy who is the expert to see if you need an eye exam, contacts, or glasses.
