Edit: My PA called me after entering my previous rating and cleared up all my misgivings and frustrations with the organization and my experience. There were some complications due to vacation times and communicating, but I appreciate the effort she made to make me satisfied with my services and helped clear the air on a lot of issues. Original: Im really discouraged with Grandview Family Medicine, and I desperately wanted to have a good experiences with them. They are definitely a kind and friendly staff while I was there, but I can see from the below reviews that Im not the only victim of how busy their facility is. TL:DR, took me 3 weeks to get a valid call with results from my tests and pretty much only got a referral to another clinic. It was disheartening and a little insulting how hard it was to get feedback from my test results. I was told I would be notified within 2 business days about my results and where to go from there. I would pay $65/per test, which seemed reasonable at the time. They didnt get back to me for a week, and when they did, it was a medical assistant (not my PA or the technician), who told me the exact same thing the technician told me the day of my tests and couldnt answer any of my questions on what to do from there. I didnt want to pay $130 for an analysis that didnt give me any details about my body or whats the next step in the healing process, so I pushed for more information. She told me my PA would call me as soon as she was in the following Monday and talk to me about it. She didnt. I got a call a week later from another medical assistant who told me the exact same thing before, and told me shell get back to me when she has more details after I pressed her again. In the end, it took me 3 weeks to get a tangible answer from the medical assistant (still hadnt talked directly to my PA), and mostly the call was just a referral to another clinic. I wish it hadnt felt like pulling teeth to get medical feedback from them and although Im sure the physicians have a very busy schedule, I feel like there could have been more care and thoroughness when it comes to getting back to a patient. It was 3 weeks of high anxiety waiting for someone to tell me what was going on, and I didnt appreciate how carelessly and vague my results were presented to me.

This is my attempt at a fair and honest review of my experience at Grandview Family Medicine. I have been a patient at this office for 2.5 years and have been seen by Hailey, Lisa, and Dr. Savage. Each appointment has had its own unique low points. My most recent appointment began with an impersonal and prompt inquiry to my medical needs. I disclosed a concern which I had addressed in the medical questions posed by the assistant just prior to the Dr. entering the room. The Dr. made no mention of my concern; I believe in hope that she would be able to get in and out of the appointment as quickly as possible. The appointment ended with the Dr. telling me that I shouldn’t be feeling any pain although I was writhing on the medical chair with her fingers violently being shoved up my vaginal tract. I finally had to tell her to remove her hands as she showed no sensitivity or even acknowledgement of the pain she was inflicting for far longer than seemed necessary. Instead of attempting to find out the cause/source of the pain, the doctor handed me a cream (which contents or purpose she didn’t explain) and briskly sent me on my way. I’ve come to the conclusion that the doctors at GFM have so overbooked and overscheduled their patients that they simply do not have the time to provide the care needed by their patients. Please don’t misunderstand, I don’t mean caring about me as a person or taking an interest in my life/feelings. Because forget about that. I mean providing the actual medical care and assistance that their patients are seeking. If you are looking for a doctor to write a quick prescription and send you on your way, I believe these are you people. If you are experiencing actual medical problems or have real concerns you would like to discuss with a medical professional, I wouldn’t bet my life on coming to this office. They simply don’t have the time or interest. Good doctors willingly provide medical care according to their patient’s needs. Great doctors care about and listen to their patients. For me, Dr. Savage and her team do neither.

My wife recently noticed a lump in her armpit, and being new to the area we did not know which doctor to choose. This place appeared to be the only clinic within Provo limits, so we decided to give them a shot. BIG MISTAKE! It was a huge hassle getting an appointment set up for my wife. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude and condescending on the phone. She made it seem as though she was doing us this enormous favor by setting up an appointment. Uh, hello, thats your job lady! Upon arriving at Grandview, we had to wait nearly an hour to see the doctor even though their was only one other person in the waiting room. When we finally got back to the patient room, the doctor was EXTREMELY rushed, uncaring and completely unhelpful in every way. She poked around at the lump in my wifes armpit for a minute or two and then declared that she had no idea what it was. She was constantly looking at the clock and was obviously overeager to bolt out of their at the soonest possible moment. We ended up finding out absolutely nothing from this worthless visit. We went over to the hospital to have an ultrasound done on the lump and they told us everything we need to know. Since then, we have constantly been harassed with phone calls and letters from Grandview, informing us that we need to come back in for a "follow up visit." Fat chance, with such lousy customer service we will NEVER, EVER be back to this place. The icing on the cake was when we received a huge bill from these guys yesterday. We were billed for a 30 minutes new patient consultation.... If by "consultation", they mean 45 minutes of rudeness from reception as we signed our life away to all of their legal documents and then a 2 minute poking and prodding from a doctor who was completely unhelpful, then yea I guess we did receive that. Bottom line, avoid these guys at all costs. Way overpriced and a horrible experience all around.

Its rather difficult to rate the services of Grandview Family Medicine as a medical group practice. Meaning, every MD, PA, MA, etc has a different way of approaching and communicating with their patients about their needs. Therefore, this review applies to the entire medical practice as a whole. First of all, I think the MDs and PAs are knowledgeable and have been able to address medical issues correctly. Theyre great for wellness/health check-ups. However, its a challenge to get an appointment when theres an actual need for medical attention. For example, in 2016 for 7/9 semi-urgent medical needs, GFM was unable to attend to my family due to not having time in their schedule. Therefore, we end up going to the Provo InstaCare instead. It made us feel that the InstaCare providers were more our primary physicians than the providers at the GFM. Second, the wait times at the GFM are terrible. I often takes 20-30 min until I get called in by the MA. Then its another 20-30 min wait in the examination room before the MD or PA attends to us. It doesnt matter whether I show up early, on time, or late. These waiting times have been consistently long for the past 3 years. I have come to the conclusion that the practice is overscheduled to the point that patients wait a long time to be seen and that sick patients get turned away. Lastly, I should have filed an official complaint about one of the phlebotomist early 2016. As a medical professional I understand proper lab protocols. At the first and last lab collection performed at GFM, the phlebotomist labeled my childs tube with only the first and last name. Proper lab protocol dictates that there need to be at least 2 patient identifiers. I insisted for the phlebotomist to add the DOB. However, she insisted that she did it correctly. I almost spat fire. Therefore, last time I use their lab services.
