This company lacks integrity. My mom was doing great with her home health agency and then Valeo came in and paid her doctor to have her switch and the doctor didnt even inform us. All of a sudden Valeo shows up at her door. We loved our other home health and hospice team so much better. We are upset, It is against the law to pay doctors for referrals or give them "kick backs", I will be filing a formal complaint with the boards for them to open up an investigation. This company doesnt understand patient rights at all and they do shady things behind closed doors with buying doctors. There health team was ok but we both really loved the other agencys providers, nurses and social workers so much better. We feel like they stole us from the company we loved and made us terminate services without even getting to say a proper good bye. We asked the doctor why he did it and he said Valeo had more resources. This is BS the program we were with has more resources and more programs that valeo doesnt even offer, we are very disappointed how this was all handled and how the patient wasnt even consulted. My mother is a vulnerable adult, the doctor and Valeo took advantage for their own financial gain and didnt think she would say or do anything. Im sure people have had positive experiences with Valeo, i wonder how many of those people had their doctors paid off for the referral? If they dont have integrity with how they get referrals I wonder what else they are not in integrity with.
