We signed up for the Wellness plan for our new puppy back in March. I was told over the phone that this covers all vaccines, preventative care, unlimited visits, and his neuter. Our first visit the Vet informed us that he needed heart worm meds (which should be considered preventative but is not) we had to have an additional $5 a month tacked on to our wellness plan to cover the cost. We were told that the plan doesnt cover everything. That if he were to become ill or was injured that we would have to pay out of pocket for these services but at a "discount price". We took him in this past week for his neuter and I questioned whether everything would be covered 100% and was told that the only thing covered was the neuter. Not pain meds, IV fluids, antibiotics, and the cone that he would have to wear after. I asked the receptionist how much extra all of this would be and she couldnt tell me. She said that because the Dr. was the one to prescribe all the treatment she couldnt give me a quote. I asked to speak with the Dr and she said that she wasnt in yet. I asked if the Dr could call me later and give me a ball park figure and we would reschedule. She said, "I can ask her, but we are really busy today." Its been more than 48hrs and we have yet to hear from anyone. And the thing is, is that we now have to pay the remainder of premiums because if you cancel you will have to pay out of pocket for services rendered 100%. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone and advise that you read the reviews before signing up!!!

I am sorry for the former negative reviews. I am not sure of the other posters situations but I have been a part of the Banfield vet clinic since it opened. All of my kitties have plans and while I havent had anything "cat"astrophic happen, I have always been pleased with the service and compassion shown by the staff and doctors. Dr. Hall and her team really seem to have it together and while there was one front-desker a couple years ago that was rather intense, she did come around...eventually. Monica, Chelsea, Ashley, and Tavia have been around practically since I first started going to Banfield, as was Dr. Hall. Dr. Baum joined later and really complements the team. I understand not all experiences are created equal, but I have found the Wellness Plan ( which is out of the front desks hands) to be very helpful to me and is certainly cheaper than other vets. One thing to also note Banfield is it is a corporation while VETTS is privately owned...therefore prices will certainly very. Another note, I get the mandatory vaccines, but the ones I do not need, I dont get and the office understands. They are included in my plan and since I have two cats that are inside, but go outside w. Supervision, I do the gauntlet.

Way overpriced! My dog got into a little scuffle and had a dog bite on his neck, took him here to get it fixed up being that he is on the wellness plan I figured something was covered under that besides the appointment and they still wanted to charge me over $1000 to fix him up. I told my boyfriend to pick him up and we took him to VETSS, an emergency animal service and they charged me just a little over $200 to get him back together, and said what a horrible job Barfield did of clipping and cleaning the wound. I HATE Banfield with a passion. More so because when I went to cancel the Wellness Plan I would have to finish off the entire year by paying it then rather than simply cancelling it when I want to.

Absolutely horrible. I would not take my pets here again for any reason at all. The receptionist (cant remember her name for the life of me because I was so upset) was rude, insulting, and haughty. Apparently standing behind the counter with a computer makes her feel oh so very entitled. This clinic gives pets vaccines that arent needed and that you dont even ask for! When you pay, be prepared to fork over hundreds more than you were quoted! Unless you like to be treated horribly, have your pet treated without your permission, and have hundreds to spare, I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. Oh, one good point, the facilities are fairly clean, but then again they are new...

They saw my dog, diagnosed the issue, and sent me with a prescription. They also directed me to the pharmacy with the best prices. I will return because Dr. Baum and the staff took very good care of us. All of my questions were answered, we were not rushed, and it was affordable. Thanks so much!

My poor Sugar Bear, female lab mix, is 15 years old, and has arthritis. We saw Dr. Baum and after an examination she prescribed Sugar some joint and pain meds. I am on a very limited budget and I want to thank Banfield for working with me by refilling the medications online.

Love this place. Staff is wonderful and caring. There has been no staff or Vet turnover in the 2 yrs weve used them. They always follow up to check on our dog after a visit. Rooms are clean and fresh smelling

We were told to put our bulldog down due to kidney failure. We took him home and he lived another year and a half. Glad we didnt take the advice of the vets there
