This location is really convenient for me. But every other aspect of my visit was bad. I went on Sunday in person to inquire about an appointment for thyroid blood work. No appointment necessary I was told. So today we go and have the test. I am told that the test will take 15 or more minutes to yield results. We take the opportunity to go shopping and return in 45 minutes. I am once again greeted warmly and give the results which are the same as the prior two years so the medicine will remain the same. Here is where we go off the rails. When I request the medicine I am offered two months. This seems a little soon and unnecessarily costly to me to do the test so soon. They agree and we agree on a 4 to 6 months supply. They just need to check with the vet on whether we can do 6 months. Now I am told the vet wont be comfortable without doing a complete physical. There was some promise that could be scheduled soon but at this point I had my grocerys in a hot car and I was feeling extremely jerked around. I should have believed the reviews when I read them this morning. Then the Office Manager from Banfield calls me at home. I assumed to apologize for my treatment and try to lure me back. Not so much. She spoke with my wife and apparently thinks we should pay for the test or she is going to turn it over to a collection agency. Of course if they had not done the "bait and switch" I would not have done the test in the first place. Or I would have scheduled and appointment. After all they did have prior notice that I would like to have the procedure done. I am sure she can quote some rules and regs to me. But she is not providing what I wanted most - good medical care for my best friend "cookie". I have more time than money so I can see small claims court in my future. I want this to be out there as a warning to others. Is this the kind of place you want to trust with your pet care?

3 1/2 stars. This review is only about the management side, rather than the medical. Praise for David and Oscar in handling a very difficult customer! She was late enough to have missed her entire appointment and proceeded to loudly complain and offer many excuses. They repeatedly, very politely, let her know that unfortunately there was no other time with the doctor they could offer that day. They scheduled an appointment for the next day. I appreciate that they respected the time of their other customers and their doctors by refusing to be bullied into offering time they honestly did not have available (If they had "accommodated" her, they would have made everyone elses appointments late and or hurried).

Shouldve learned from the posters below and from my previous visit to a banfield hospital in 2001 in alex,va . Yes they do pressure you to get things you dont need and even if you fill out the contact info so they may reach you they seem ignorant and call you home # or other secondary number instead. Do yourself a favor and just go elsewhere. The last vist my 6 month old dog went in for for left him with a sac of puss on his chest and they had the balls to say my dog needs traing and needs to be neutured. shame on this hospital!

Ive taken my dog there for years. They dont care at all about your animal, just your money. I spent over $300 getting my dogs teeth cleaned and was very unhappy with the subpar cleaning. My dog is very little and doesnt take shots well so I liked to give them in stages, which they allow BUT you have to pay a $70 office visit every time your dog gets a shot. They didnt care at all about my dogs well being and wanted to give him anywhere from 3-5 shots every time (even 2 at a time makes him very sick with nausea and vomiting).

I have a Banfield Wellness plan I pay for every month. This minimal cost provides me with this veterinary office which is convenient and the doctors are great. My pets go in twice a year and receive dental cleaning once a year and no surprise costs. All other visits are included with that monthly cost and I receive discounts on medicines they may need. The vets there at Falls Church are really nice and my dogs love everyone they meet. Ive never been inconvenienced and my two dogs have received the best care.

This place is AMAZING! The employees were very nice to us and our dog Chanel. The doctor is excellent with dogs. I was impressed with her caring for my dog and her explanations of everything. I definitely recommend this pet hospital to every pet owner. They provide basic behavior classes for dogs at affordable prices. We buy our dogs food there because it is cheapper than other places, including big clubs and department stores. Also, their pet health plan is very good and inexpensive.

I do not trust this location with the life and health of my dog. Go somewhere else! This location has screwed up soooo many times. They continually screwed up crucial information about my puppy , his health status, his vaccines, our insurance plan, etc. They also couldnt get us in for 3 days when we had a puppy with stomach problems and told us "Good luck"............ ***Bruno at the front desk deserves a standing ovation for trying to clear up the messes his team made.

Really friendly and take good care of the animals while you go to work. They will walk them every hour, make sure they get all the shots and checkup items they need and helped when I had to take my pet in with an ear infection. Additionally if you have a lot of vet bills, consider getting their insurance plan. Most dogs and cats can be covered under their insurance plan for about $30-40 per month which will save you a ton on vet bills in the long run.

The staff and the vets are all so friendly and caring and they really take the time to explain everything and make sure that your pet is receiving the best care possible, and you as well as a customer. The customer service really cant be beat. It is by far the best pet care clinic Ive ever been to and I will be continuing to bring my dog here, probably for the rest of her life. Thanks for providing such great care guys!

I shouldve listened to the reviews. I called in advance to see if I could pick up my dogs prescription and I was told yes they could transfer her records. When I arrived there I was told no I could not have her prescription filled because even though she is a Banfield patient because she has not been seen at this one they could not fill her prescription. I do not have this problem with any other locations. WHAT A JOKE!

Dont like the vet I got when I went there or how they treated my dog. Also seemed to be guessing at my dogs problems instead of doing research. Then apparently did not know how to draw blood, took my dog in to the back instead of doing it in front of me. Never heard my dog scream so much, and its not the first time shes had blood drawn. Also didnt like the look of the office, and rooms. Gloomy dirty looking.
