Our beloved family dog (Babe) passed away July 27, 2016 unexpectedly. We are all in mourning as he was my little brother, showed us unconditional love for the past 12 years. He was 14 yeas old and in great health, never had any serious illnesses. He had no serious health problems until I made the worst mistake of my life by taking him to see a vet I never heard of before, and lives across the street from my house and practices in his own house. Babe had a cyst that was bleeding. It was not life threatening just irritated from a scratch and bled. The vet Dr. Weitzman sold his practice Liberty Falls to Dr. Elise Geldon. He still treats patients to this day. I observed that Dr. W and Dr. G treat animals differently, Dr. W is old fashioned while Dr.G is more advanced with medicine and treatment. Ive also been told by their technician who trusted me stated Dr. W has gotton in trouble in the past by giving out medication to patients and sending them home. That was a red flag to me. Dr. W prescribed our beloved Babe a very toxic, high dose of Previcox that is used to treat arthritis pain that Babe did not have, he only had minor arthritis and the Dr. W failed to inform us of the major risks, side effects and warnings of possible DEATH from this highly toxic drug called Previcox. Its very evident that Dr. W and Dr.G have very different ways and methods in treating animals. One is very old fasioned while the other is advanced with todays current breakthrough medical treatments. There are issues with their communications and doing things differently which made me feel uneasy. Always speak up if you have any doubts. I did, but Dr. W was in a rush to treat other pets so I didnt ask more questions like I should have. I blame myself for not asking the Vet questions about the drug and failing to research it some more on my own. I just trusted this Vet who I never met in my entire life. Just a simple Google search with the word previcox populates the words "death", "kills", "toxic", etc. Within 12 days of taking that drug, and following the instructions per Dr. W. Babe suffered a stroke/seizure that paralized his entire right side (paw and leg). He struggled, fought and suffered so much for his life the next 5 days until he couldnt take it anymore and gave us one last gift so that my family and I would not have to go through the pain of euthanizing him, so he took his last breath in my arms and closed his eyes. I will have to live the rest of my life carrying the heavy burden knowing that Babe suffered for no reason, he died in vein, how could I, his very own loving sister, poison my little brother! I love him so much and took him everywhere with me, he is a moral support dog and goes everywhere with me. He would kill for me and protect me from any harm, but in the end, I killed him. Please dont ever allow a Vet to prescribe your pet any medication without notifying you of all serious risks and warnings of the drug so that you can make the distinction yourself if you want your pet to swallow that drug. If I was given proper warning as the Vet should have clearly done, I would have NEVER given Babe that killer drug. If I can spread awareness from what happened to my Babe in efforts to save another loving family member on Babes behalf, I would go out of my way around the world to spread my message in hopes that everyone will take this serious and spread awareness. Stay away from Previcox!! It kills!!

Dr. Weitzman, Dr. Geldon and Staff are phenomenal. I wouldnt take my animals anywhere else! I have gone to this practice for over18 years now and all my pets have been cared for well beyond the normal life expectancy. It is all due to the excellent care theyve always received here at this practice. Over the years I have entrusted them my dogs and cats and have the utmost confidence in them. I think the most important thing this practice has given me is the peace of mind and security I have come to know that I will never be misdirected to do unnecessary procedures. Our animals are our babies now that all our children have grown up. We care very much about them and want to know that they are never put through any procedure that is not needed. This practice is conservative in their approach and I hold them in very high regard. There are so many practices just out to get your money by recommending unnecessary procedures for your animals. My family, friends and even coworkers go to this practice. I give my highest recommendation to Liberty Falls Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Weitzman is a brilliantly gifted veterinarian and is a pioneer in veterinarian history. He has that special ability to just know what is wrong and how to resolve it. If you can get your animal into this practice consider yourself very fortunate as they are knowledgeable, compassionate, honest, kind, and loving. They truly care about your animals wellbeing not about their pocket book.

I have been going to Liberty Falls clinic for 45 years. All of my "kids-cats and dogs" have always received the best of care. About 2 years ago, Dr. Weitzman decided to go part time, he is entitled to semi-retire and he hired Dr. Geldon. I was worried about what would happen to my furry children, but both doctors are wonderful, and caring. Both doctors continue to work there. They are like family! Both call to check up on your pet the next day if your pet has had surgery, and they follow up every day if necessary. When the time comes for the end of life of your beloved pet, they are very caring and supportive. They give you the time to be with your pet and do not rush you to leave. You can take the time to say good-bye to your pet. No one likes to think about this aspect of their pets life, but animals do not live 45 years. Newer pets are treated extremely well, and the animals, although a little nervous at first, come through with flying colors, and repeat visits go smoothly. I will NEVER go to any other vet. If you need a wonderful vet, both of these doctors are for you. Meatball, the resident orange and white cat, is accustomed to the variety of pets that come through the door and he is very calm, sometimes coming into the exam room to make sure the vets are doing their job! which they are. But this just makes this clinic all the more friendly and homey.

I have been using the Liberty Falls Veterinary Clinic since 1999 and would recommend them to anyone! They have cared for 4 of my dogs and all have received excellent, timely, compassionate care. When I started with the practice I only had my Chocolate Lab mix, Cocoa Puff. Dr. Weitzman was her vet. In 2005 we added Ranger, a German Shepherd mix to our family, and Dr,. Weitzman was his vet as well. Cocoa Puff passed away at the ripe old age of 16.5. I credit her long, healthy, happy life to the care she got at Liberty Falls. Now that Dr. Geldon has joined the practice two new puppies came to live with Ranger. Lily and Lewie. They, too, have received phenomenal care. Lily had some serious issues as a young pup and Dr. Geldon saw us through those issues and Lily is a very healthy girl today. I cannot say enough good things about this practice, their knowledge, expertise, and compassion. You cant go wrong with Liberty Falls.
