When we saw Family Pet Vet Practice was coming to our shopping center by the Parkway Deli, we were delighted. We loved the vet we were taking our 3 year old Havanese to but wanted to support a local business blocks from our home so decided to check out the Family Pet Veterinary Practice. Shortly after they opened, we took Toby in to meet Dr. Nate Wehrli and get a tour of the facilities. While there, Dr. Nate gave Toby a quick clip of his long nails. Toby, although like most dogs, never loving his vet visits, trots into the Family Pet vet Practice with no fear or apprehension. Nate and his staff seem to genuinely care for our little guy and we make a habit of stopping in on a regular basis to pick up a treat or just do a weigh in. The staff are all lovely and we are delighted to have them in the neighborhood. Moira

Dr. Nate is an excellent veterinarian and Family Pet Vet is needed in the neighborhood! Well-located between Silver Spring and Bethesda with Saturday hours, who could ask for more. After our vet retired, we were so pleased to find Dr. Nate and he has exceeded our expectations with his bedside manner and welcoming office. He takes his time, explains everything and doesnt recommend any aggressive treatments, which I appreciate. Our 8 year old dog has a low grade heart murmur that has developed over the last 1-2 years and I found Dr. Nates explanations and recommendations reassuring and reasonable. If you are looking for a down-to-earth, smart and relatable vet, go see Dr. Nate!

Kiki our cat has been a patient of Dr.Nathan Wherli for some time. We are so happy he has opened a practice in Silver Spring. He is kind, understating and very tolerant of our difficult cat. She gets stressed at the vet. Some how Dr, Wherli always has the patience and expertise to calm Kiki and correctly diagnose our cats problems. When she is having an issue Dr. Wherli finds the time to see her, usually that day. For this we are grateful and so is Kiki. Thank you for your dedication to animals and treating them with true compassion.

Ive been bringing my new kitten to see Dr. Nate, and I couldnt be happier! The staff is always super friendly, but what really stands out is Dr. Nates patient and thorough explanations of his assessments and what next steps he recommends. Its refreshing to have a vet who not only obviously cares about animals, but who can also devise (and communicate) sensible treatment plans. IMHO, Dr. Nates practice is a great find.

Dr. Nate is absolutely excellent, as are all of the vet practice staff. He is friendly and reassuring, and extremely accommodating for our (normally lovable) dogs shennanigans when she comes for examinations. The office is a lovely environment with friendly staff and a very calming vibe, probably as much for pet owners as for the pets themselves. I highly recommend this vet practice!

We were thrilled with the gentle and confident care Dr. Nate gave to our cats, we are so happy to welcome this bright new vet clinic to Silver Spring and would recommend it highly! Clean, kid-friendly facilities in a great neighborhood, next door to Parkway Deli. Affordable rates, free parking right in front of the office.

Dr. Wehrli takes great care of my little guys. Its super easy to make an appointment online, Ive never had to wait more than a few minutes to see him and the prices are totally reasonable. As the owner of a French Bulldog and a 22 year old cat, I go to the vet a lot and Im very glad I found one like him!

Despite the wait, the service was excellent. The staff was very professional, kind and efficient. Our cat of 11 years of age is not the easiest patient but the doctor and staff was very patient and caring towards our cat. Overall, 4 stars.
