Lansdowne Animal hospital has been taking care of our two English Bulldogs for almost 8 years now, and we couldnt be happier with their service. We initially went to another local vet (first year plus) that supposedly specialized in Bulldogs, but were very unhappy with them. We transferred over to Lansdowne due to a chance meeting with Dr. Godlewski, and have never regretted it. She and all of her staff (Rhona and Carla especially are the ones we usually see on our visits) are absolutely wonderful. They all are always happy, pleasant to deal with and show very obvious concern for our dogs. We have been able to get in to see the Doctor or one of the specialists at last minute notice several times (especially helpful on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend - at least twice now) when they had no appointments available. Dr. Godlewski has always been absolutely wonderful with our dogs, and they all make it an easy trip for them; they used to hate going to the other vet, but they are excited to go into Lansdowne whenever we take them. They always have excellent knowledge of what might be ailing our dogs, and usually are able to give us options for treatment, depending on what our concerns might be with their comfort. We have had to leave them both there for procedures needing anesthesia and we get regular updates on how they are doing. We also always get follow up calls to see how they are doing after we bring them in. We cannot recommend Lansdowne higher to anyone needing a Vet, and we plan on continuing with them with all of our future pets. Tom & Lesley Hall

I have brought both canine and feline pets to Lansdowne Animal Hospital since about 2008. Overall, the standard of care is excellent. I trust Dr. Godlewski, who is empathetic with both animals and humans but who also speaks frankly to the latter (which I like) and who has an impressive knowledge base. I dont consider Dr. Godlewski to be the minimalist that I am when it comes to preventive medicine (certain treatments, shots, flea & tick prevention, prescription meds). I understand that she would rather be safe than sorry but I do sometimes feel guilted into opting for treatments or meds. I have less experience with her vet colleague/s, and less of a recommendation. Some members of the staff are just wonderful while Ive found others to be curt and caustic. I go there because, as I said, I trust the high standard of the vet care. The staff also has shown flexibility in scheduling - keeping animals overnight, making house calls for euthanasia, etc. // Part of my rating, rightly or wrongly, is based on logistics. Parking is close by but VERY limited - it can be a nightmare if youre alone wrangling cages. And the hospital is located in a VERY high rent shopping center, which Im sure is reflected in pricing.

Lansdowne Animal Hospital is outstanding!!! Every staff member there has become a friend to us and our pets. We truly consider them family and feel super blessed to have met them. Because it is a smaller practice, everyone knows what is going on with your pets .. it is not like a huge or medium sized vet practice where nobody knows you, your pet or current health challenges. The staff stays up to date on all the new information, techniques, etc. Our pets are treated with the most excellent care, advice, love ... We just cannot say enough about Dr. G and her staff. Dr. G, Rhona, Carol, Jeanne, Winona are just the best people. They really care and are really experts at what they do. We have 2 cats and one crazy high need puppy and they handle it all with grace.. even our millions of phone calls and long appointments (because we have tons of questions about our new puppy)! They always take time and always care and always have excellent advice. Dr. G is also wonderfully conservative price wise about identifying lower cost options or pursuing no options at all. She advises on what is best for your pets... period. She is the best!!

At first we were happy with our decision to bring our dogs to Lansdowne Animal Hospital. But things ever so slightly started going downhill. Not once, not twice, but on three separate occasions they changed or questioned our order with 1-800-PetMeds because it wasnt what they recommended or they were upset that we didnt order through them. When its their pet it can be their decision. At our last visit, our 2 year old Corgi needed some shots and wasnt taking them well. After the shots were administered the assistant was very sweet and told our Corgi how good he did. However, the doctor felt the need to make a comment along the lines of, "well not really". I know the dog didnt do well, he was getting shots, but what kind of person makes a back handed comment about an animal? They have certainly fallen from whatever grace they had left. I will never bring another pet to them ever. But if you like a veterinarian that mocks your pet out loud after theyve been stuck with needless, then by all means this is the place for you. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

I took my cat to LAH for the first time today and I was immediately impressed. The vet tech was so kind and I appreciated the effort they put into making sure my cat was comfortable. He got a physical exam, two vaccines, and a fecal sample was sent to a lab to check for parasites. They were gentle, thorough, and it was apparent that the whole staff cares deeply about all the animals they see. Im a little obsessed with my cat so I was very happy to see him getting pet and talked to while he was getting his exam. The vet came in as soon as the vet tech weighed him and took his temperature, I was expecting to have to wait awhile! I highly recommend LAH to anybody in need of quality animal care! P.S. We adopted a puppy last month and bring her to LAH. She love going there despite the shots she gets because everyone is so kind and gives her so much love! We receive the fecal sample results the next day no matter what which is greatly appreciated. I cant say enough good things about Lansdowne Animal Hospital!

There are very few vets that show such concern & honesty towards my dogs health. The staff is very polite, friendly & offers great advice even when treatment isnt necessary. One more thing. My dog & I are flying to Singapore. Processes to allow my dog to travel with me are quite rigorous & frustrating. The doctor & staff patiently guided me through the procedures, even when they werent quite sure what needed to be done. However, they were right on the nose. Then, I needed the documents endorsed by USDA. Well, what would you know, Singapore missed out one very important step. At a near panic, the staff was coordinating, on behalf of me, to provide USDA everything. So why, youd ask, I would care to share this excerpt. Well...everything must be completed in 2 days so that my dog & I can get to Singapore within the specified time. If not for the perseverance & dedication of these people. I would reschedule my flight, reinitiate the whole process & torment my dog again. Fuddles & I thank you.

The team at Lansdowne Animal Hospital was an absolute pleasure to work with. My husband and I had a 13 year old pug that was diagnosed with kidney failure. Dr. Godlewski and her team were very honest in their diagnosis and offered us a range of options so that we could give our dog a fighting chance. They were very understanding and accommodating by allowing us unannounced visits to see our dog while he was in their care. After significant treatment and discovering that euthanasia would be the best course of action, Dr. Godlewski was extremely compassionate, caring and generous. She made sure that no one was in her office to allow us private reflection time as we spent our last moments with him. Her professional manner yet humane compassion is unparalleled. Her practice exudes a warm, small-town feel, yet her expertise is truly impressive. I strongly recommend her services to anyone who wants the best care for their pet.
