We absolutely LOVE this clinic! The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. I had to put my 2 pet rats to sleep and they sent me a little note in the mail with condolences for the loss of my pets. This was years ago and I still have the note they sent. I couldnt believe they would be so kind, it really meant a lot. I also had my cat declawed, by a different vet ( I started going to another vet bc I moved to Gainesville)... I regretted it shortly after doing so. The other vet did a poor job and my cat walked like she had clown shoes on for months after. I came back to battlefield to get a second opinion about what the problem could be. Dr. Paul Marron went above and beyond! not only did he spend lots of time with my cat trying to figure out what the problem was, but when he did not have the answer he said I could speak to a specialist that might be able to help, and he gave me the information to call. I got busy and forgot to call the specialist, and to my surprise only a few days after my appointment I had a voicemail from Dr. Marron saying that he had called the specialist and discussed the issue with him! When I called him back he spent around 30 minutes on the phone with me explaining what the specialist believed the problem to be. The specialist said that the vet probably cut the tendons, so the toes bend back more than they should, making it look like she is wearing clown shoes. There is nothing that we can do to rectify what has been done, but at least we know, thanks to Dr. Marron. We now drive to Manassas for all appointments :) If you are looking for someone who will show your pets the love that you feel for them, then I would definitely recommend this clinic!

Im a fairly new client at Battlefield Animal Clinic but, already, I have a really good feeling about this particular hospital. So far, I have only worked with Dr. Marron and Dr. French but I have found both of them to be very nice, very down to earth, and very straight forward. Everything is thoroughly and carefully explained to me and, as such, I feel like this is not just a business for these doctors; I feel like they genuinely care about the animals. Also, I have found them to be very informative and more current on available treatments than Ive been previously accustomed to. I was most impressed when Dr. Marron had a totally different diagnosis of an existing problem with one of my dogs, a diagnosis that, all of a sudden, now made complete and total sense to me. All the pieces of the puzzle suddenly fit. I was already sold on this vet but, now, Im totally sold. I truly believe these are good and honest vets that operate on a level of integrity that is, to say the least, refreshing. And, if thats not enough, their prices seem to be fair and reasonable, too. This is what I always look for, regardless of the type of service Im seeking: a good and honest job at a fair and reasonable price. It can be hard to find. But, if you do.... stick to it. Having said that, I think these folks are going to be stuck with me for a while! :-) Thank you Dr. Marron!! Thank you Dr. French!! Good on ya!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I took my cat here in February because she was having trouble walking (she kept falling over). After being there for FOUR hours they told me she had an ear infection (which she did) and had to have two teeth pulled which would have cost over $600. Since they said it wasnt very bad and I didnt have the $600 I decided to wait to treat it. I got the medicine for her ear infection and left. This past Saturday (only two months later) I woke up and she was having the same symptoms as before but much worse. I knew something was seriously wrong especially since she was so old (almost 18). Instead, this time I brought her to Prince William Emergency Clinic. After being there for two hours, and having done every test possible at their facility, it was determined she had a brain tumor and had to be put down. On top of that, besides a little tartar build up, her teeth were completely fine! I truly believe in my heart that she has had this for some time and Battlefield should have caught it. The outcome probably would be the same but she wouldnt of had to experience the pain. Whatever you do, please go somewhere else.

Ive had wonderful experiences at Battlefield Animal Clinic. One of my pugs has lots of allergies; Dr. Mitchell provided lots of information on appropriate care and foods for her. My other pug, 10 years old, was dealing with significant hip pain, to the point she couldnt take more than a few steps before laying down. Battlefield recommended surgery on both her hips (FHO). This was complicated by her only having 1 front leg. The recovery took some time, but she is now walking and running without pain! Dr. Marron and the staff at Battlefield was wonderful during the entire process. They provided information on what was happening every step of the way, and were very understanding. I so appreciated being able to call and speak with a vet about any questions or concerns I had during the recovery process. I highly recommend Battlefield. Everyone there shows such love and concern for my dogs.

Admittedly the pet care is good, but it is expensive and it adds up quickly! We had repeated problems with their AutoOrder pharmacy (they denied or outright cancelled orders twice making our dogs overdue on flea and tick meds in August- the height of tick season!). We received no apology and no offer of comped meds to compensate for the lapse (they tried to charge Full price for a 1 month stopgap!). All this after we have dropped nearly $2,000 for care/meds over the past month and a half. Did I mention I had to wait 45 minutes to pick up my dog in the midst of this? We had a 5:30 pick up appointment and I didnt see our pup until 6:15. I would like to recommend them, but cannot in goo d conscience do so. Banfield here we come! THEY have a reasonable Wellness program and are open 7 days a week. BTW- Its now 6 days later and we still have not received flea and tick meds.

We had been taking our Lab here for the last 7 years. we had great services from all the vets, Marron, Higgins and Mitchell. Our dog lived to be nearly 18 years and she was under a lot of care from the clinic for the last 2 years. Although there seemed to be a lot of turnover among staff over the years, we never had any real problem and they were always considerate. We saw mostly Dr. Higgins. He was very knowledgeable and caring, but most importantly, he would listen and always spent the time to explain the situation. In our current days of fast food medicine, I wish that I could find a small docs office like this for my human family. we were very thankful that we had this clinic to help our dog live as long a she did.
