Worst vet visit ever! I have had dogs my whole life and have never had such awful treatment by any vet personnel ever. My history was taken by an vet student whom was rude but I thought oh well she is young. She was confused as why I would ever give my dogs vaccinations on my own and spoke down to me as she explained to me that is my legal responsibility to make sure I give my dogs rabies vaccinations. She was insulted I bought my puppy from a breeder which she made obvious as she wrinkled her nose up at me. Than came the question if my dog was an american bulldog and the face she made when I said "No he is a pure breed pit bull terrier and the horror she expressed when I said I was not planning on neutering him. Again I was just planning on ignoring her due to her young age. But then came in the vet, Dr. Nagy. She came in ready to brawl! My mouth dropped as she literally went off on me for giving my puppy his second set off shots. "The general public should not be allowed to give vaccinations." I explained to her as a nurse I give injections daily and growing up with pets we did much of the care ourselves. As a side note, most of my large breed dogs live to be 12-14 years. Anyways she was disgusted with me. Then she talked to me like a 4 year old as she explained the importance of giving my dog his rabies vaccination. I remained courteous as I did not want to drop to her level of jerk. She than went on a tirade about why I should neuter my dog. Im sorry not your place lady. The front desk staff was nice friendly and courteous. Maybe the vet staff should take a lesson from them!

Ive always had a good experience with Banfield. My cat Willow came from the shelter with severe teeth issues. I had had a free consultation (courtesy of the shelters recommendation) with another vet but found the surgery estimate (around $1,000) to be out of my price range. I went to Banfield and was able to get most of Willows bad teeth removed (they left one less troublesome one for later because she was under anesthesia for a long time) for under $600. She is now pain-free, very happy and very healthy. I plan to get her last bad tooth removed after her next check-up. I had taken my previous cat Reba to Banfield as well (both the one in Chantilly and the one in Manassas) when she was diagnosed with kidney failure. Thanks to the medication that the doctors prescribed, I was able to keep her happy and healthy for another seven months before her kidneys well and truly gave out. The staff at the Chantilly office were very compassionate when I took her to be put to sleep. The staff at Manassas remembered me and Reba too. When I came to pick up Willow, the doctor who did her surgery came out and asked me about Reba. Reba had never seen that doctor for an appointment before we put her to sleep, but she knew about her and knew I was her owner. I was touched that she asked me about her.

We want to thank you at Banfield in Manassas from the bottoms of our hearts for the wonderful, professional and always educational and courtesy care they give our Animals. We have always had a ~Zoo it seems and whether it is one of our 7 indoor kitties to our Labs they are on target. Some of our furry friends have a great deal of stress going to the Vet- but they are patient and do all they can to minimize that. In the last month we have lost 2 kitties and our 13 year old Lab. Its been VERY difficult- but, but they were incredible. The vets have had suggestions and solutions to whatever we have dealt with. We, too, have cared for animals forever, and have never found them to speak to us in anything but a professional manner. They do explain things in great detail however we have never found that a con, but a huge PRO. Things change also, so whatever the most current medical information is available we trust they know it! The facility is state of the art also, what a fabulous, clean and welcoming hospital! Thanks again!

So I have one of the pet plans. I get a call that my dog needed another test done. I make another appointment so that they can test his liver again. At no point was I informed that this was NOT part of the plan and that it would cost 78$. I dont mind paying for it and I will when I get paid. I hate not being informed and having a test charged in a sneaky manner. The nurse says " well they should have told you. I mean u dont want your account to go into collection." Of course not but when I have a plan for my pet I would appreciate being told. I just paid my bills I would have planned for the charges if I would have known. Im going to pay when I get my next paycheck then Im looking for a new vet and canceling this plan. To think we were going to upgrade to the dental plan. they are friendly but will sneak charges on you. Please be careful and ask if there are extra charges when making appointments because they wont tell you.

While they might be a bit on the pricier side (but honestly, theyre not even that pricey, pets are just expensive), the care they provide for my dog is worth it. Saber, my 10 month old German Shepherd mix, is afraid of people, and refuses to even go up to most. But he loves the staff at Banfield, hell even give the vet kisses. They listen to my concerns and are very gentle and interactive with him. Theyll offer him treats after every visit, and they remember him when we come back. The facility is clean and pleasant to be in. I plan on keeping them as my primary care facility for Saber, and any other future pets I have!

They dont even deserve a star. They are awful. They always try to charge you extra EVEN after you have gone over the prices multiple times. The staff has terrible attitudes and you are often disrespected by the male vet and vet techs when you questions them about their practices. And the manager always say I know, weve spoke to them about their behavior and says they will suggest training. NOT FREAKING GOOD ENOUGH WHEN IT HAPPES ALL OF THE TIME. This practice is the absolute worst.

Banfields in Manassas took great care of my injured cat on a Sunday as a walk in. The staff was professional, kind and respectful, and unlike some practices Ive known they actually seem to like cats at this place. Banfields doctor (Dr. J.) is knowledgeable and was very gentle when handling my pet. Everything he shared with me about what to expect with my cats recovery was on target. I highly recommend Banfield Pet Hospital in Manassas.

I absolutely love Banfield Pet Hospital in Manassas Va. I highly recommend them. Dr. Trang is my vet and she really cares about her patients. They also always ask before they charge you for something and give you the choice for services. I have had other vets in the past not from Banfield who have given me estimates for care and then charged me a much higher amount. Banfield does not do that.
