Great place! Long review here, so bear with me. :) Everyone with a cat should go to a cats only practice if its practical for them. My previous vet in Herndon, who was very good, sold her practice when she retired and I wasnt thrilled about the new vets there as they seemed to have trouble diagnosing my cats problems. It was pretty apparent to me from the beginning that my cat had a urinary tract infection, but they took a while to figure it out. Then one day my cat got lost when a guest left a door open and I started calling around all the local vets, along with the animal shelters, to see if maybe someone had found her and dropped her off. To my surprise, a bunch of vet clinics said something to the effect of, "we havent even had a cat patient here in a few days, so we certainly havent seen her." I did some research and discovered that most mixed-animal vets mostly see dogs, some of them to the extent theyre 90% of the patients. So thats 90% experience with dogs, 10% experience with cats. It probably shouldnt be this way, but I guess cats are considered lower maintenance pets and people dont take them to the vet as often as they should. Anyhow, I attended the Cat Show at the Chantilly expo center and met the staff of Fancy Paws Cat Clinic and decided Id give them a try. Im glad I did. Theyre fantastic! Rachel Keller is a fantastic vet! Very good with accurately diagnosing cats and very thorough and willing to take her time in explaining whats going on health-wise and what it means. The staff is wonderful too and you can really tell everyone here likes cats. The office is warm and clean. My cat is less stressed out here since theyre no dogs barking at her. Also, theyre conscious of the fact that not everyone has an unlimited health care budget. Shell go over her recommendations of what she thinks you should do and why its important, but they dont do the used-car salesman high pressure tactics Ive encountered elsewhere. I like that. Great place and if youre looking for a vet for your cat, I highly recommend Fancy Paws Cat Clinic!

Have been going here off and on for a few years. We moved to Charles Town WV and did not like the local vet there, so now we make the drive in to Ashburn for our kitties. They offer late appointments, and its a cat only vet which makes the stress level MUCH less for furry patients and parents alike. Dr. Miller is just simply amazing. I believe Dr. Jones is retiring and Dr. Miller is gradually taking over, and we just simply adore her. She is very thorough and extremely caring. Office always calls to follow up. I wont be going anywhere else anytime soon.

We also make a long drive in to take our cats here (were in lovettsville). We debated switching vets when we moved, but we have been so pleased with Dr. Jones and really appreciate his passion for his work so we stayed. When Dr. Jones started handing over his practice to Dr. Rachael Keller we thought about reconsidering again, but shes been just as great so we will keep making the drive. Everyone is professional, obviously loves what they do, and obviously love our kitties.

Dr. Salber and the entire staff at Fancy Paws are amazing! We had such a pleasant first experience. My 15-year-old cat has been a somewhat "difficult" patient in the past. This was by far the best vet visit she has ever had. The staff did everything they could to make her (and us) feel comfortable and calm. I did not feel rushed during the appointment and really appreciated how thorough Dr. Salber was. I would definitely recommend Fancy Paws!

Dr. Jones has a wonderfully compassionate presence and was very kind to us while in the midst of a difficult situation. Weve recently not been as fortunate when dealing with a neurologist on a matter for our dog and can tell you first hand how important kindness, compassion and bedside manner is when trying to work with and inform pet parents who are worried or have just received troubling news about a beloved fur baby. The doctor and entire staff were very nice and helped educate us on our new addition from LCAS, Honey. She got a vaccine on Saturday and the staff followed up with me on Monday to see how Honey was doing. What really impressed me even more is the call on Wednesday to check on her again, what a great office!
