We miss Dr. Moore. Been going here for twenty five years but the other day I took puppy in and they started asking new customer questions, geez they had file. This new vet scared him, then they asked if he bit, never knew him to but but then when they touched him he jumped and snapped. Charged me $200 did not find a problem, but if they had looked at the file they might have noticed that puppy had arthritis and occasionally overdoes his squirrel chasing - when he can barely move we just wanted verification. Was going to have our dogs groomed there, made an appointment for a specific day, took off work. Went to drop puppies off and they said the appointment was the next day, I had made sure that they could take them on that day. There is a long wait for grooming also. Some of the staff is rude, we put up with them while Dr. Moore was there because he was great. Now we are considering finding another vet....

Dr. Moore has taken care of our pets since the early 1980s when he was with another practice in Dale City. He is the most genuinely caring person we have ever met and they will do anything and everything to make the experience pleasurable. When we had to put down one of our dogs which Dr. Moore had cared for over a long period of time, he sat on the floor with us as the drug he administered put her to sleep. When I turned to look at Dr. Moore I was struck by the fact that he was crying as much as we were. I cant tell you how much that helped us through this difficult time. This is a top notch organization filled with the best and brightest. I wholeheartedly recommend Independent Hill Vet.

My family dog, Cocoa went here when we moved back to the area in 1996 until he passed away in March of 2006. The doctors were always very kind and always remembered him. They were also very sympathetic when we had to put him down and they understood the pain we were going through. Later, I took my first cat to their practice for the first few years of her life but stopped taking her there because of the distance (I moved to the south end of Woodbridge and it was less convenient for me). I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a vet in the area.

I came in with a kitten that was orphaned from his mother and when i took him in he couldt open his eyes by himself and also had a respiratory infection. When they saw him they were so patient and kind and it was really just a terrific experience. They gave me proper medication for him and a couple days into the treatment hes up and about, both eyes are open, and hes eating like a grown man lol Great place to go to, definitely recommend that you take your pets to see them.

Weve been patients of Independent Hill Veterinary Clinic for many years. Over these years, we have found them nothing but kind, compassionate, professional and more than willing to do whatever it takes to make our furry friends comfortable. When we had our over 20 year old cat put to sleep, everyone made sure we were comfortable with everything. A few days later, we received the nicest sympathy card - made our day!

Been taking my kitties there since around 2004. The Vets have always listened to my input regarding my pets health so as to insure they understood and could better treat my animals. They also cared for my dog. Whenever I called for an appointment it was always within a very reasonable time frame. Mostly the same day or when I needed it to be. Its a business environment with a love for animals.

Dr. McAdams has been treating my nearly 14 year old dachshund for heart murmur and failure. She is totally dedicated and a wonderfully warm human being. She is full of knowledge and takes time to explain the medications and how they are effective. Any questions I have had, she always listens to and responds very well. I am very pleased. Been using Independent Hill Veterinary since 1999.

Weve been bringing our pets here for over 15 years and wouldnt consider going anywhere else. My mom moved to Fairfax and she still drives down to Independent Hill if that says anything. The staff has always been extremely caring and accommodating which takes the stress away from the pets and the owners. Highly recommended!

I love Independent Hill Veterinary! Dr. Moore is great! He is so nice and always gets the answers we need for our little Ziggy! He helped us get through the fear and hump of our little guy being diagnosed with Diabetes. He always makes time for us and returns our calls. Again great office and Dr. Moore is fabulous!!!

Dr. McAdams is great. She is knowledgeable, thorough and honestly cares about all of the pets she treats. She has been great with my two older, large dogs. I have one dog with DM and another with Arthritis, and she helps me provide them with the best quality of life that I can. The staff is friendly and helpful.

My cat had a eye that was watering, she is 17 years old and I was worried about her. They took me in the same day and took care of her. The staff and the doctors are very friendly and helpful. They took some test and called me with the results in a timely manner. I would totally recommend this clinic.

Dr. Moore was great, but he retired and it is not the same now. He always took care of the animal no matter what. Now they seem to care more about money than the animal. I am looking for a new vet, but a caring one seems hard to find.
