This review is long overdue and for that, I apologize. Almost a year and a half ago, I brought my 5 year old cat Jigs in for respiratory distress. Dr. Alexander’s amazing staff immediately took us to a quiet area away from the chaos of late afternoon patient pick-up. Dr. Alexander saw us right away. Unfortunately it was determined Jigs had congestive heart failure and we made the decision to end his suffering. My husband and I held Jigs while Dr. Alexander ushered him to peace. When he was gone, I buried my face in my husband’s chest and cried uncontrollably. I could hear Dr. Alexander crying along with me. Being a vet has got to be incredibly difficult. I will never forget the compassion she showed. She is an amazing clinician and an extraordinary human being. Her staff shares that compassion. I’m sorry I haven’t thanked you sooner, Dr. Alexander. We will never forget you.

By far this is the best veterinarian i have ever come across in the Hampton Roads area. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I have four dogs: a mutt, a hound, a pittbull, and a maltipoo. All are treated as if they were members of the family. My Pitt has some issues due to his previous owners and his time spent in a shelter and the staff took expert care of him and was able to do a full exam with shots! No one else had been able to do that. They are also very well priced for the level of service they provide. I can safetly say this will be my vet for life.

I have been very happy with the service at East Beach vet. Last year I had a couple minor emergencies and they were able to get my dog in right away. They have taken care of all of our issues, both routine and emergency, with courtesy and professionalism. They have also been understanding and flexible about scheduling or rescheduling appointments. The staff there is very friendly and everyone I have met seems to genuinely care for my pet. I only wish they had longer hours or a vet on call nights and weekends.

Theyve been great ever since we starting going recently. When we got our puppies, they took them back and looked over them real quick even though we had no appointment. They are very thorough in their explanations. And though weve only been a couple times, they still already recognize us when we walk in. That kind of personable staff is what impresses me. Very happy taking my dogs here.

My puppy seemed to be having a allergic reaction so I tried East Beach Vet because of all of the wonderful reviews and since it was closer to my house. The girls at the front desk were nice and so was the vet tech. My only complaint would be with Dr.Drinkwater.. She came off rude and was talking to me like I didnt know how to care for my puppy. I will not be going back.

The best veterinary care, staff, customer service, in the area! East Beach Veterinary Care is a must if you are looking for a new vet! The facility is super clean, the staff is amazing - so friendly, and the vet is personable, caring, and thorough. Wouldnt take my pets anywhere else. They were voted Best of the Best in Hampton Roads the first year they were open!

Outstanding, caring staff. Dr Alexander is a model veterinarian! Plenty if follow-up phone calls by the staff and Dr to ensure my puppy was taken care of. The president would proudly trust his dog with these people if he knew how awesome they were!
