Ive been taking my two cats here over the past 6-7 months. They are both older cats (16yo), and the staff there has been absolutely wonderful with them. This past week, my one cat got very, very sick. Dr. Bean and his staff worked with me to determine what the issue was in order to help her feel better. Unfortunately, they found a tumor and she was too weak to survive the surgery. We decided that euthanasia was the only option since she wasnt eating. When I arrived at the office, I was immediately brought to a room so I could have privacy. Someone came in to discuss after care plans and get a paw print. My kitty was brought in like the Queen of Sheba, lounging in a blanket lined box. It was adorable. We were allowed as much time as we wanted to love and cuddle her. Reception came in to settle up the bill so I didnt have to do it out front. I dont remember her name, but she was so sweet. She said "first thing, can I hug you?" Small gesture, and it was so appreciated. Dr. Bean explained the procedure to me, and allowed my mom to hold her while they gave her the meds. I wasnt strong enough to witness this, so I left beforehand. My mom told me afterwards that my kitty purred right until she went to sleep and Dr. Bean whispered to her "no more pain," and kissed her head. I am so grateful that they were all there with me. Putting my cat to sleep was not pleasant at all, but the staff there was so caring and understanding and made a difficult situation a little more bearable. Thank you to everyone. I already thought Dr. Bean was an amazing vet when he sat on the floor with my kitties to do their exams, now I realize he cares about his patients on ALL levels, as well as their parents. I highly recommend this office.

My dog Samson (2yr old yellow lab) was found by animal control after missing all night without his ID collar, he was dropped off at Pet Vet Hosp, he was hit by a car and his right hind leg was totally degloved (skin on leg shredded off). They contacted me after they decided to scann him again for a chip, and I was contacted and told that he was located and in stable condition, anxious but then relieved that he was alive and found sped up to the hospital to see what the extent was--His leg was in bad shape and needed extensive laser surgeries where they would have to put him under sedation and bandage changes on a daily basis, he was on pain medication around the clock along with an antibiotic, poor guy has taken it like the trooper he is, never does he show he is hurting and is such a sweet boy.. I have not had the money for all these expenses however they decided at the hospital that were going to dip into thier "Angel Fund" to help with Samsons needs and surgeries. The Doctors, Techs and office staff in this place are remarkable!! I cant express my gratitude enough!! Every opportunity I get I do make a donation to the angel fund just so another person such as myself will be able to benefit from the fund, I will continue to make donations to this fund, for Samson is still recieving care and the doctors have all pooled together for Samsons care, he has shown awesome improvement and care!! I am forever indebted to this practice for saving my Sam, and I dont think I can keep Sam away from here, he walks in as if he owns the place greeting all the staff and patients along with thier owners!! Thank you soo much for your help, care and patience for my animal!! Margaret Wilson

I have dogs, cats and lizards (no I’m not crazy, my kids are all about animals) and we was transferred to the area October 2014. Since last October I have been to three different veterinary hospitals and they were ok but felt like I was being pushed through the system. Where my husband and I grew up no matter what hospital, vet store or restaurant you go to by the end you knew everything about the people helping/waiting and vise versa and we were looking for something like that for our permanent Vet. My first experience with Pet Care was the initial call I made to make a “test” appointment and a Darlene picked up the phone. I promise I’m not the easiest person to accommodate and she went way beyond to assist me and make the appointment work for my busy life having three younger children. I have heard from friends that Pet Care was extremely busy and the day of my appointment there was a lobby full. The office was very well keep and I felt at home from the welcoming staff. The wait I felt was a little excessive with a dog and my jittery youngest child in tow. Upon checking out I expressed my frustration to the receptionist and you could just see the concern on her face as she apologized and I looked up I noticed it was Darlene from my initial appointment phone call. Anyway, this review was not about the excellent veterinarian care I received once I was taken into the examination room from the young doctor but more about the before and after customer service I received. So, thank you Darlene for making my first experience with Pet Care a memorable one and will see you next time

I called to make an appointment for my sick dog who had been hacking and sneezing large amounts of white mucus for the last month. I mentioned I had already taken him to another vet and that the vet had put him on an antihistamine and clindamycin and to no avail. I was informed I would have to come at 4:00 pm and that that was their emergency hour, for which I would have to pay a substantial amount more than their normal hours (I have looked over their website and can find no mention of an emergency hour in the middle of the day (the are open from 7:30 am til 7:00 pm) so I fail to understand why they feel they have the right to charge $75 to see your animal at that hour instead of their usual $52). I was informed that I would need to either wait outside or in my car until I was called, as they were unsure whether what my dog had might be contagious or not. I said it was no problem to wait in my car, but that I had another dog at home that had not gotten sick from being around my male and that I had not been asked to wait outside at the other clinic I had taken him to. We waited 45 minutes in my car (it was freezing the day I took him) when I finally went inside and asked how much longer it would be. The waiting room had emptied out completely and I was informed it would be another 5 or 10 minutes. After another half an hour I went in and informed them to please cancel my appointment. I am beyond upset that not only did we have to wait well over an hour and still not get seen but that we had to do it outside AND we were going to be charged more for the appointment.

We had been looking for rabbits for a while and decided that while we were on vacation we would get them so we could spend more time with them before we had to go back to work. One of the babies was given to us a few weeks early and ended up with a fairly bad case of diarrhea and was acting funny on the day we were supposed to drive home (A 6+ hour car drive). We decided to take him in to the hospital to get him checked out before we drove. We called a couple places and no one could see us the same day until we got a hold of Pet Care Veterinary Hospital. They could see us 2 hours later. No sooner than I got off the phone they called back and informed me that there was a cancellation and there was an opening in 45 minutes if that would give us time to get there. We were overjoyed at the prospect of having our bunny checked on and also being on the road that much sooner. When we got there the staff was wonderful. They were cheerful and even helped ease my paranoia when I convinced myself his little heart was slowing down. They got us checked in and back to a room in a reasonable amount of time. Everyone was very helpful. They have somewhat of a rabbit enthusiast which made me happy because Ive read that its very difficult to find vets that are experienced with rabbits. They were very helpful. They gave us samples of treats and some hay and pellets that would be better suited for their ages. They even gave me a copy of the x-ray they took. They were very nice and they were wonderful with my bunny. I only wish we lived in the area so we could use their services again.
