Coming from an area that doesnt have a military medical facility I was happy to learn that there was a clinic here specifically for the military and their families. I have medical conditions that require regular testing and doctors visits, so Ive been to plenty of clinics and hospitals. I can say that the tricare prime clinic in Virginia Beach was by far the worst experience Ive had in a medical facility. For starters most of the health care providers arent actually doctors but nurse practitioners or physician assistants. Im not sure why they are there because they dont know anything. And in the lab they are equally as bad. I had to come back three times for a certain test because the tech didnt know what the test were. Which is baffling to me since theyre only job is to draw blood. How can u not know how to do your job?! The attitude at tpc Virginia beach seems to be since were receiving free medical care we just take what we get. It would seem like we would receive the very best care since the people that go to this clinic are the families of the men and women who serve our country every day. Im very disappointed. I would not suggest this clinic to anyone.

This place has a horrible appointment scheduling set-up. I scheduled my appointment a month in advance for 5:30 pm. The scheduler tried to get me to set-up one for 4:40 pm, but I told her I couldnt do it that early because I have a job that I dont even get off of until 4:00 pm halfway across town. I showed up 30 minutes early instead of the 15 minutes recommended. after Ive been there about twenty minutes filling out paperwork and Ive checked in at the front desk, the nurse comes out and tells me that she cannot see me because Im over an hour late. Turns out the scheduler failed to adhere to me telling her the 5:30 appointment was best for me. They refused to see me even though the office was completely empty and they were simply standing at the desk chit-chatting about baby-daddy drama. They were completely unprofessional and unapologetic. TriCare Prime Customers would be better finding a different clinic or paying the extra monthly fee to see civilian doctors who probably care more about you.

I went to my scheduled appointment today and to start things off right, the two ladies at the front desk had me wait at least 5 minutes while they ignored me to discuss their personal business! After asking me if I had an appointment, there wasnt even a "please have a seat" or an apology for making me wait while they conversed! I then see the doctor, who is not my regular PCM (this happens frequently) and instead of taking the time to give me a thorough medical exam, listen to my persisting and worsening medical condition, she looks in my throats and tells me, "you have a cold". This is AFTER I inform her that my husband was just tested and diagnosed with bronchitis! My symptoms had worsened over the last week. These doctors are here for a paycheck and a paycheck alone. They DO NOT care about their patients. They rush through and on to the next. If you want to be treated like a valued patient, GO ELSEWHERE! If I could leave zero stars, I would!

if you have a baby and you are thinking on going here for a pediatrician, ill make it easy for all of you, DON"T. I was going here for my 2 1/2 month old baby and we have concerns about her jaundice. The pedia just keep on brushing us off saying it is normal and she will be fine. We finally convince her to order labs for my baby after 3 to 4 times asking and come to find out, my baby has an enlarge liver and needs to be treated. please avoid this location at all cost. they just want to get people in and out and collect their paychecks. one thing you dont do is put peoples lives at risk because all you want to do is get them out of there as fast as you can. were definitely not going back to this location.

The people thats supposed to great you when you walk in need training on customers service. I walked in and said good morning and the lady at the counter ignored me for a good 2 min before just asking if I have an appointment. Then she gave one of her coworkers attitude just for asking for some type of form. New review: I guess that employee is no longer working there. All the other staff are very friendly. Now that I go often, I see that it is a very nice office and the atmosphere is good overall. Doctors seem nice as well. Some with better bedside manners than others. Change rating from 2 to a 4

Attitude from staff is the last thing you need when youre not well, and have to wait. Mistakenly printed out a wrong ticket, and when it was called, two staff members decided being rude and asking, "IS THAT YOUR UNIFORM? ITS ALWAYS BEEN POLICY FOR "A" TICKETS TO BE IN UNIFORM." When we responded, "do we need a "B" ticket then? Is that the correct one to print to wait?" The man responded with a dramatic head and eye roll, then, "YAH, THATD PROBABLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM!" A simple, "You printed to wrong ticket, please get a "B" ticket and wait." Would have sufficed.

The staff is amazing! Very pleasant, professional and service is always with a smile. Knowing that there are veterans working here makes it even better because they know can relate to those of us who are still on active service and at the same time their presence is highly regarded and respected. I also learned of the retired HM1 who served many years before who is there on a voluntary basis! Bravo Zulu! Thank you for your service! Starting to really hate this place. Had an appt for my daughter at 0820 after an encounter with the security team (which were very nice and just doing there job) I got to the front desk at 0824. Then I am informed that since I arrived 10 mins late that I would have to wait or reschedule because the doctor had an 0840 appt. ??? No accountability for the nice lady who initially checked my daughter in under the wrong name and how is that 10 mins late... it was four minutes after her appt time. Ridiculous.

TERRIBLE DOCTORS. My wife cycled through 3 different ones and they all sucked. She was misdiagnosed multiple times for various conditions, one being a very large cyst on her ovary which was diagnosed as "poor eating habits" and ended up rupturing. All 3 of them were extremely rude and their only focus was kicking her out the door. If any of you 3 are reading this, I hope you loose your license to practice medicine. Oh AND dont bother filing a complaint against this place, it does absolutely no good.

you RE TREATED LIKE A NUMBER HERE. THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK JUST SIT THERE AND TALK ABOUT THERE PERSONAL BUSINESS WHILE YOU STAND THERE LISTENING TO IT. I DONT NEED TO HEAR YOUR PERSONAL BS. ANOTHER THING IS WHEN YOU TRY AND CALL THE NURSES STATION YOU GET HUNG UP ON. IT HAPPENED TO ME THREE TIMES IN A ROW. WAY TO TREAT A DISABLED AND RETIRED VETERAN. IT WOULDNT EVEN GET ONE STAR BUT YOU HAVE TOO PUT AT LEAST ONE.
